    Default The Spiral on Hubble

None of the world's experts know what the strange spiral structure is:

The huge spiral spans about a third of a light year across and, winding four or five complete turns, has a regularity that has never been observed before.

The image was taken in near-infrared light by the Hubble Space Telescope.

    Wow!
    What a stunning image.

I did chuckle at one of the comments in the link.

Kind of looks as if we are looking down the barrel of a wormhole from the show "Stargate". If you squint, you can even imagine the path of the wormhole curving off to the right behind or into the bright light(star?).

From the Nazca Lines in Peru .... interesting similarity ....

When you are one step ahead of the crowd, you are a genius.
Two steps ahead, and you are deemed a crackpot.
