Scientists Puzzled: Mysterious Radio Waves Discovered Emanating From Beneath Antarctic Ice

Bizarre signals have been picked up in Antarctica that are giving researchers a headache. The discovery was made by an international research group that includes scientists from the American Penn State University. The mysterious radio pulses were detected by the Antarctic Impulse Transient Antenna (ANITA). These are instruments that hang in balloons high above Antarctica to pick up radio waves from cosmic rays hitting the atmosphere.
