    There is another one of Eckhart, I think it's titled Sexuality and Instinct, it is so funny. A man asks Eckhart about feeling attracted to a woman he sees jogging. Eckhart giggles slightly and blinks and thinks for what seems like forever before attempting to answer him. I don't know why but it totally cracked me up!

    Hi Ilie
    I and two friends spent an hour over breakfast with him and Kim at Findhorn.
    We were at the same B&B.
    He is a gentleman and served Kim her breakfast.
    Actually shy and unassuming but with some humor.

    I have been to two of his seminars and one retreat (Findhorn Foundation)
    At the London talk some years ago he was very forth coming.

    He said that "The human race is on the verge of the biggest step forward in evolution since we left the sea"

    I hope he is right.
    Normaly he is very laid back about the future but at that talk was very clear

    His book The Power of Now has positively affected millions of people.

    Dr David Hawkins also has a superb sense of humor and well worth listening to.
    If any one wants a link to his cds on torrent please PM me

    I like how he always keeps to the positive message of what we can really do to change things without straying in to what 'the other side' are up to.

    I just looked for a thread to share this video and there was a choice of a few -

    I love Eckhart Tolle and often fall asleep listening to one of his talks... he always has something good and helpful to say in his quiet, unassuming, humorous way......

    For anyone who hasn't heard.... many years ago when he was young he was having a REALLY tough time emotionally coping with life and even got to the point of wanting to end it all..... then something happened - and to cut the story short... in extreme crisis he had a dramatic and sudden change and spent a couple of years in BLISS....where everything was deep and meaningful - ordinary situations became full of beauty and meaning as he became fully present in the NOW....

    I have a friend who recently spent a long period of bliss after they felt something 'pop' in their head.... I think it has to be something to with the cerebrospinal fluid and the pineal gland (that whole area of the brain) releasing 'chemicals' that take us into another (timeless?) dimension of experience .... something similar could have been what happened to Eckhart... in extreme, prolonged distress + crisis something was released that helped bring about his transformation...and saved him....

    He must still have the cerebrospinal fluid flowing nicely but it's not as dramatic as the time of bliss that saved him and he appears, to me, to be channelling his Higher Self - finding the words to communicate simple and powerful truths...

    And after that long intro.... .....

    Navigating Life's Challenges with Spiritual Awareness | Eckhart Tolle (44:35)

    Quote 18 Jan 2024
    Eckhart Tolle delves into the essence of spiritual awakening and its impact on life's inevitable challenges. In this enlightening video, Eckhart explains that spiritual awakening doesn't put an end to life's difficulties but changes how we respond to them. He emphasizes that awakening allows us to stop unconsciously converting life's challenges into unhappiness.

    I really enjoyed listening to that. Thanks for posting jaybee . . . It also confirmed to me that I'm only awake intellectually, not spiritually, and So I wondered how many truly spiritually awake members there are on PA and also whether it's possible to be truly happy when our friends and family aren't . . .

    I don't want to spoil anybody's enjoyment, and I appreciate that ET seems a likeable chap with a pleasant manner and a soothing voice.

    Nonetheless, if style is separated from substance; if the message is taken seriously, I believe that Tolle's oneness spirituality message is actually A Bad Thing (for most people, most of the time) and indeed one of the Western Establishment PSYOPS.

    'Nuff said - I shall now cease!

    It was decade or more ago... we were buying his books... listening to series Oprah talking with Tolle.. yes, I think you are right Bruce with your opinion...
    I was very disappointed later on...when all what was hidden behind the veil, came out... I liked him a lot... but I think we overgrew some similar stuff...

    each to their own - and to coin another phrase that's popular at the moment - 'it is what it is' ...

    This is a shorter clip - where someone is asking Eckhart about how to manage their aggressive ego ...hence the title of the video about being triggered...

    He talks about what he terms 'presence' (living in, focusing on the present moment of awareness) then moves on to a beautiful bit of discourse about connecting with a flower, giving it attention, feeling it's presence.... (7:11)..............it's inner essence........the manifestation of form.........the animating spirit.....

    he says....'the flower can teach you stillness...'

    another talk from Eckhart Tolle to share.....for anyone interested

    The Transformative Power of Gratitude and Non-Interference (44:22)

    Quote 4 Jan 2024
    Eckhart Tolle uncovers how ego-driven desires for superiority, rooted in childhood experiences and adulthood attachments, lead to suffering. Discover how complaining reinforces the ego's grip and learn practical steps to break free through gratitude and non-interference with reality. Join Eckhart on the path to aligning with the present moment for greater inner peace and self-discovery.

    my comment....full time radical acceptance isn't easy - not at all easy....trust me I know but even slipping into it for a while can be helpful - and the longer one can maintain the acceptance the more relief from suffering there is...

    Quote Radical Acceptance is the ability to accept situations that are outside of your control without judging them; this reduces suffering caused by the situation.

    Radical acceptance means full acceptance of reality with your mind, body, and spirit. It is accepting that reality is unfolding the way it is.
    @ around 24:30....Eckhart is talking about the deeper meaning of 'complaining' and 25:19 relates a story about a Zen Master giving one disciple a lesson, a spiritual practice - to help with their enlightenment -

    Who was told that, on their travels... where ever they go, what ever they do, in every situation they should repeat the words....

    "Thanks for everything - I have no complaint what~so~ever...."

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    the story about the Zen Master and his Disciple is an educational/spiritual vignette..... you would have to be REALLY radical to accept everything that we have to cope with in this modern world - and give thanks for it.... .....( but if something IS out of your control - accepting that + dropping the fear and worry about it would be a good thing...)
    On a personal level and for minimizing suffering - 'radical' acceptance can come in useful......if that's the path you want to take...
