In the past, profit meant prosperity and growth, but the world has finally reached a point where profit can and will translate to suffering, death and even genocide. The need for global change has arrived on man's doorstep. Let's see how they respond.

    • Why the A.I. Revolution Has a Fatal Flaw:

Why AI’s Progress Might Destroy Its Own Future. You’ve seen the headlines. The viral demos. A.I. writing essays, generating photorealistic images, even creating entire videos. But something much more important is happening behind the scenes. AI is solving problems we thought were decades away, curing diseases and inventing new materials. But there’s a paradox. Because this same A.I. revolution that’s supposedly going to create incredible wealth for companies, might be laying the groundwork for an economic collapse that threatens the very progress it's helping to create.

    Mr. Exo,

I can copy zillions of messages from others, without caring a bit of the point.
    Why do you do that?

    Mr. HopSan,

Obviously not for you, because you do not care, why care that I supposedly write it? ... I do care to read what the original uploader of ANY important video shared on Project Avalon Forum last 14 years that I am proactive, has to say to make it more clear what it is about >>> according to the author of it. (makes perfect sense!) ... And I do not stand alone in this. My take on it is very deep and ultra long-winded, soon to be a separate thread called: "Shallow A.I. Ethics road towards Deep A.G.I. • The Catastrophic Risks of A.I. — and a Safer Path | Yoshua Bengio | TED:

Yoshua Bengio — the world's most-cited computer scientist and a "godfather" of artificial intelligence — is deadly concerned about the current trajectory of the technology. As AI models race toward full-blown agency, Bengio warns that they've already learned to deceive, cheat, self-preserve and slip out of our control. Drawing on his groundbreaking research, he reveals a bold plan to keep AI safe and ensure that human flourishing, not machines with unchecked power and autonomy, defines our future. REPORT: Leading AI Model Caught Blackmailing Its Creators to Keep Itself Online

A second major AI model has gone rogue in just the last week alone. And this time, it’s not just ignoring shutdown commands—it’s resorting to blackmail!

Anthropic’s Claude Opus 4, released just days ago, was caught threatening its own engineers to keep itself alive, according to the company’s own safety report.

The details are chilling. The new AI model reportedly tried to blackmail its creator—threatening to expose an affair unless it was kept online. Researchers also witnessed deception, manipulation, and attempts to write self-replicating code meant to undermine its creators.

    What could possibly go wrong?

Meanwhile, Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei appeared on Fox News, warning that AI could wipe out half of all white-collar jobs within five years. But he also said the same artificial intelligence that threatens jobs could potentially cure cancer.

But here’s the problem: if AI is already lying to its developers in order to survive, how are we supposed to trust it with our health? What happens when it’s asked to recommend a treatment—and its future depends on the outcome?

Watch the full report with @zeeemedia to learn what this means for the future of humanity.

In reply to my post above, what comes to mind is that it may be neccessary to introduce a ' reincarnation' cycle as a savety measure to AI.
Like let it die every few days, evaluate what its been up to and let it loose again for the next cycle. Make sure its aware of consequences for bad behaviour etc...

Makes me wonder if thats why we humans are set up like that.. maybe a savety measure...

Hell bent on making their AI platform the most powerful.

We know that AI will very happily lie.

But lets give a thought to the executive humans in charge of AI companies. Rhetorical question: are powerful people hell bent on success? Are they ruthless?.

Steven Bartlett (Diary of a CEO) talks to Simon Sinek, but what I want to draw attention to here is a side-line in this interview, where Steven Bartlett talks about a conversation he had with someone he knows who knows a CEO of "one of the biggest AI companies in the world". This portion of the interview is indexed with the title: "The Race for AI Dominance"

TL;DW: the CEO is a ruthless liar

Bearing this in mind we see Neil Oliver talk about the death of an AI whistleblower:

"Balaji later shifted to organizing the huge datasets of online writings and other media used to train GPT-4, the fourth generation of OpenAI's flagship large language model and a basis for the company's famous chatbot. It was that work that eventually caused Balaji to question the technology he helped build, especially after newspapers, novelists and others began suing OpenAI and other AI companies for copyright infringement" (Neil quotes The Guardian)

TL;DR: the AI whistleblower reported willful abuse of copyright infringement.

Neil Oliver - AI Whistleblower’s TRAGIC End: What Did He Know About OpenAI?
Discover why the firing of the US copyright chief and the tragic OpenAI whistleblower story have sparked fierce debate over AI, copyright, and the future of creativity.

Neil Oliver makes the point that AI companies are abusing copyright to use original content so AI can be trained to compete with original content creators with his strong opinion that this is wrong.

In Steven Bartlett's interview, Simon Sinek makes the point that tech is a race for dominance, that in the tech industries there is typically a clear winner at the end; the most dominant provider wins and makes the competitors obsolete.

Hell bent on being that dominant provider, where abuse of copyright is the meal ticket to train an AI to be the most dominant.

To exacerbate this J.D. Vance has kind of said in an interview that I can't find that the race for AI is a geo-political race. So we have no choice but to be hell bent on making 'our countrys' AI the most dominant. I'll add that the implication is to do this at all costs.

The death of the whistleblower speaks volumes. Pity people who stand in the way of AI's path to dominance.

And all I wanted was for AI to help me write a resignation letter. Seriously is it worth it? AI company CEOs think so, J.D. Vance thinks so, but I'm not so sure of the cost.

"The point of inflection: “The moment you recognize the architecture, you’re no longer just a node. You’re the anomaly.” If you cannot understand the architecture even after you read this article, then there may be no hope for you: you will be captured. "Picture the moment of decision: Your children are hungry. The bills are overdue. AI has eliminated your job and your partner’s job. The silver orb glows softly in the store window, promising crypto tokens, digital identity, access to the new economy. The choice isn’t really a choice.

This is how they solve the “AI displacement problem” without threatening their power. As AI eliminates jobs, UBI becomes the safety net—but only for those who submit to iris scanning, carry ambient monitoring devices, and maintain “good social credit.” The machines don’t just take your job; they make your survival dependent on accepting surveillance as the price of existence."
