It all began in a trip to Mexico, in the Amatlan mountains. I was talking to a woman about Mexican shamans and healers when she asked me if I knew Dr. Jacobo Grinberg, ‘the greatest Mexican scientist in the XXth century’. She told me he had disappeared many years ago and it was very likely that the CIA or the NASA had kidnapped him. I said I had never heard of him. She continued to tell me about him and said he had been an assistant to Pachita the healer, famous for opening her patients wide open with a knife and changing their ill organs.

When she mentioned Pachita, I remembered having read about her in an Alejandro Jodorowsky's book ‘The dance of reality’ where he tells his own experience with her, and I remembered having read Jacobo Grinberg’s name somewhere. Immediately, I had a weird intuition, so I opened my leather bag and took out a small book of poems I had bought the day before, only to confirm that the author was indeed Jacobo Grinberg-Zilberbaum. At that moment, I had no idea what that little morning synchronicity would mean...​

The project ‘The Secret Behind Dr. Grinberg’ revolves around Dr. Jacobo Grinberg, one of the most prominent scientists in Mexico. Specialised in neuroscience, Grinberg studied and researched within the field of Science at the Laboratory of the UNAM (National Autonomous University of Mexico) and published over 50 books. His work is renowned for combining Mexican shamanism, eastern disciplines and meditation together with science after meeting the legendary healer, Pachita. He founded the National Institute for the Study of Consciousness and his legacy has left a deep print in the scientific story of Mexico and the world.

Grinberg was a scientist not understood at his time. His research work is now cutting edge science and many of the things he studied continue to be an enigma today. Grinberg proposed, back in the 70s & 80s, what many researchers of the consciousness are proposing today: that the Universe is a consciousness itself and constitutes one sole being.

One of Grinberg’s biggest achievements has been the demonstration of the scientific bases for telepathy; however, those discoveries have yet to be accepted by the scientific community. If this was to be confirmed, it would represent a revolution in the field of science and would give meaning to the existence of humanity in the world, ending the nihilism of the actual materialistic world view.

How is it possible that almost no one knows who Dr. Grinberg is and his impact in the science community?

After the triumph of scientific Empiricism (end of the XVII century), based on observation and experimentation over the sensitive world, Materialism as a philosophical system became the unquestionable paradigm of the Western World for the last 400 years. The basic principle of this philosophic system is based in the axiom: ‘Matter is all there is’.

For Grinberg, on the contrary, all our experience, everything that we can know is nothing other than consciousness. We don't know things directly, we know them as manifestations inside our consciousness, decoded by our mind. For Grinberg, consciousness is ‘what is behind every act of perception, what supports the mere quality of experience itself’. Reality is for him not matter, but consciousness.

Grinberg was ahead of his time. His first theories about consciousness formulated in the 70s are today cutting edge science but the theories he elaborated later on are still today somewhat regarded as science fiction: demonstration of telepathy, remote viewing, explanation on shamanic healing, the unity of the Universe...

The one that you feel inspired to buy will be just the one you need. The truth is not in the books although they may point to it. Thank you. Unfortunately i also only found spanish versions, even on Amazon, which makes it impossible to just quote things without having to translate and mostly impossible to correlate between different books. Because of not having a reference to point to without also translating. And without a good translation, a lot gets lost from original message :/
