Rob Holland, a world famous aerobatic pilot, died last Thursday in the crash of his competition airplane.

The cause of the crash has not been reported. He had just arrived at the Langley Airbase airport (Virginia) after a 3-hour cross-country trip, in preparation to participate in a big annual airshow, Air Power Over Hampton Roads 2025, and was attempting what should have been a normal landing.

This incident is mysterious, considering his experience and the routine nature of the flight.

Here is an MSM video report, a tasteful (imo) tribute. L=2:25

“People at Air Power Over Hampton Roads say Rob Holland's legacy will live on. The aerobatic legend died in a crash at Langley Air Force Base this week.”

Here is the initial report by Juan Browne of YT chan Blancolirio, one of the most well respected analysts (unofficial) of aircraft incidents today. You may remember him from his stellar reporting of the Oroville Dam main spillway failure in ‘17, and the billion dollar repair effort over the following 2 years.

And here’s Mr. Holland at work, vid uploaded 8 years ago. L=3:42. Please note the normal standard landing at the end.

Kerry Cassidy put up a three-part video interview with Dr. Bill Deagle from 2008 on her website. I looked him up and found out he passed on 05/16/23 from double pneumonia. In the first video he talks to her and Bill Ryan saying there's a Sentient World Model and we're all nodes within it. He claims Human means serpent man in Welch.

Quote William (Bill) of Vista, California passed away May 16, 2023, after a yearlong battle with double pneumonia.
Bill was born in Detroit Michigan on February 15, 1952, to Lorraine Hazel Neima and William Rankin Deagle. Shortly thereafter Lorraine and William moved with baby “Billy” to Dartmouth Nova Scotia where he spent his early childhood through teenage years.

After graduating High School in 1970 Bill attended Dalhousie University and earned his undergrad degree in Biology and Chemistry. In 1973 Bill was accepted at Dalhousie Medical School in Halifax, Nova Scotia and graduated with academic honors in 1977. Shortly thereafter he started his residency in Internal Medicine at the Vancouver General Hospital in British Columbia. He then decided to complete a second residency in Family Medicine at Calgary General Hospital in Alberta.

Dr. Deagle continued to thrive academically and professionally and opened his own successful practice in Calgary. It was in Calgary that Dr. Deagle met his loving wife Michelle nee Fiander and they had their first child, Matthew Justin in 1985.

In 1987 Dr. Deagle accepted a position at Augusta General Hospital in Georgia and their second son Stephen Richard was born. A year later they moved back “home” to Nova Scotia to be closer to family. Christopher Wayne was born in 1990 in Halifax and Kelsea Maria “The Dollie” was born three years later.

Dr. Deagle was deeply loved by his patients as he always genuinely cared for everyone regardless of their economic or social standing. He also was outstanding in the field of Family Medicine and was a member of the Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine among numerous other academies.

After retiring in 2006 he started NutriMedical and hosted a Radio Show, the NutriMedical Report. He reached thousands of patients (customers), and he helped them by bringing Medicine and Nutrition together through his line of supplements. Dr. Bill Deagle never forgot to thank and praise God during all his Radio Shows.

Dr Deagle continued to participate in medicine, attended educational meetings and counseled other physicians on Nutritional Supplement Protocols and stayed involved in the study of Nutraceuticals until his last days.

Most of all Dr. “Daddy Bi” Deagle loved his family dearly. His children were the absolute delight of his life and he was an amazing, loving, devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, and colleague and friend. He deeply touched the lives of so many people including his NutriMedical Family. He will truly be missed and will never, ever, be forgotten.

Dr. Deagle is survived by his three brothers, Kevin Deagle of St, Margarets Bay, Nova Scotia, Leon Deagle of Dartmouth Nova Scotia, Joseph Deagle of Lumberton, Texas, and his sister Trudy Fong of Dartmouth Nova Scotia. He was predeceased by his niece Anne Deagle. He is survived by his four children and three grandchildren, Kallen Deagle with Stephen and Kim Deagle, Matilda Deagle and Ari Jacob Borwein with Matthew Deagle.

Celebration of Life will be on May 30, 2023 at 1 PM at Eternal Hills in Oceanside CA, with remembrances and Chaplain Cole presiding over a Christian Ceremony. Please reach out to the family at 888-212-8871 directly regarding information on flowers or donations.

I usually don't have too many good things to say about politicians, but Jose Mujica was a man of utter sincerity, selflessness, and integrity. (Well, at least after he stopped robbing banks.)

Uruguay's former President Jose Mujica dies aged 89
    Nicolas Martin
    05/14/2025May 14, 2025
    https://www.dw.com/en/humble-poor-ur...ies/a-72533367

Jose "Pepe" Mujica was guerrilla fighter who later became known as the world's "poorest president" for his humble lifestyle.

Jose Mujica, widely known by his nickname, "Pepe," was beloved for his modesty and progressive social reforms.

At the height of his political career as president of Uruguay, Mujica's monthly salary was $12,500 (€7,200) — but he only drew one-tenth of it.

    The rest he gave away.

$1,250 was "more than enough," said Mujica, who would usually drive himself around in his pale-blue VW Beetle, which he refused to sell even when offered $1 million for it.

This farmer from the west of the capital, Montevideo, never anticipated that he would one day achieve such popularity — and it was probably never his goal.

He told DW back in 2015, just before the end of his presidency, that he was a political animal.

"I've been in politics since I was 14 years old," he said. "And if I don't lose my wits, I'll continue in politics until they carry me out feet first."

    Political underground to solitary confinement

Jose Mujica was born in Montevideo in 1935 to a farming family of Basque and Italian origin.

Their circumstances were modest: Mujica was five when his father died, and he and his sister worked on the family flower farm from an early age.

He did go to school, though, and went on to study law, later dropping out as he became increasingly involved in the student movement.

Before long, Mujica and others founded the urban guerrilla group known as the Tupamaros. At the time, the early 1960s, there was mass unemployment in Uruguay.

Mujica dreamed of "a society without social classes." To this end, he and the Tupamaros robbed banks, kidnapped politicians and planted bombs.

Mujica always claimed that he had never killed anyone.

"We were naive, but one should not lose sight of one's goal," Mujica once said in an interview with DW.

His goals landed him in prison. He was convicted of murdering a police officer after a shootout with the police in 1971 and spent 14 years in prison, where he spent time in solitary confinement and was tortured.

Mujica later described this phase of life as "routine for those who decide to change the world," adding that he had a great deal of time to get to know himself during his time in prison.'

From solitary confinement to the presidency

From 1973 to 1985, Uruguay was under a military dictatorship.

When this came to an end, an amnesty law was passed under which saw Mujica and other political prisoners freed.

He and his future wife, Lucía Topolansky, a fellow Tupamara released at the same time, moved to a small farm where they sold tomatoes and chrysanthemums and engaged in political activity.

The Tupamaros evolved into the left-wing political party Movimiento de Participación Popular (Movement of Popular Participation, or MPP), and 10 years after his release from prison, Mujica was elected as a member of parliament.

A popular story relates that, on his first day, he traveled to parliament by moped. The porter, mistaking him for a courier, asked, "Are you staying long?" and Mujica replied, "I hope so."

His hopes were fulfilled. In 2005, for the first time in its history, Uruguay elected a socialist president: Tabare Vazquez, the leader of the left-wing coalition Frente Amplio (Broad Front). He appointed Jose Mujica as his minister of agriculture.

Five years later, in 2010, Mujica was elected president with 52% of the vote.

    Authenticity the trump card

Even in the highest office of the state, Mujica remained true to himself. He often appeared at Cabinet meetings wearing a cardigan, sandals and an old pair of trousers. He never wore a tie, not even on official occasions. He did wear a three-piece suit as a guest at the White House in 2014, but it was slightly too short.

In spite of this — or perhaps because of it — his host Barack Obama, US president at the time, described him as having "extraordinary credibility."

The renowned Uruguayan journalist Eduardo Galeano once said of his Mujica: "He's a plain man. People recognize themselves in him, which is why he inspires such enthusiasm and hope."

    Uruguaya's experiment

As president, Mujica, an avowed atheist, turned the country upside down. He legalized gay marriage and abortion, a move that was well ahead of the prevailing times in Latin America.

In Mujica's logic, this act was neither leftist nor liberal. "The world has to accept certain things that are unalterable," he said.

His socioeconomic policies were also a success. Under his leadership, unemployment, poverty and infant mortality all decreased.

His most controversial project was probably the deregulation of cannabis for recreational purposes. Mujica believed that this was something that could be tested in a small country like Uruguay.

But he wasn't able to implement all of his plans. His much-trumpeted education reform fell by the wayside, as did major infrastructure projects. He also had to deal with accusations from fellow leftists that he cozied up to major corporations on issues around agriculture and natural resources.

    A completely atypical politician

Nevertheless, because of his modest style, Mujica — unlike so many other Latin American heads of state — was generally deemed to be above suspicion of corruption.

His approachability and pragmatism were probably also why he was excused many a verbal slip, such as when he called FIFA officials "a bunch of old sons of bitches" after his national team was knocked out of the World Cup.

After the end of his presidency in 2015, Mujica mediated in the peace negotiations between the Colombian government and that country's FARC guerrillas in Cuba the following year.

He continued to contribute to political debate until shortly beforehis death in May 2025 from cancer, at the age of 89.

Mujica would also comment on current political issues on DW's Spanish service, where he had a special program entitled "Conciencia Sur" ("The conscience of the South"). He liked to receive journalists in the garden or study of his little house with the peeling facade.

Jose "Pepe" Mujica was an atypical politician. By living as he did, he set an example for a new political culture.

But he always refused to regard himself as poor. One of his most famous sayings was: "It is not the man who has little, but the man who craves more, who is poor."

    Suicide Is Painless
    Quote [Verse 1]

Through early morning fog I see
Visions of the things to be
The pains that are withheld for me
I realize and I can see

    [Chorus]

    That suicide is painless
    It brings on many changes
And I can take or leave it if I please

    [Verse 2]

The game of life is hard to play
    I'm gonna lose it anyway
The losing card I'll someday lay
So this is all I have to say

    [Chorus]

    Suicide is painless
    It brings on many changes
And I can take or leave it if I please

    [Verse 3]

The sword of time will pierce our skin
It doesn't hurt when it begins
But as it works its way on in
The pain grows stronger, watch it grin

    Sly Stone passes at 82.

It's surprising he made it that far t.b.h., he was long time heavy drug user. No doubt he did great work though, musically & politically.
He left us with at least 5 or 6 classics for sure.

The shuffling would fall into a zombie context.

    Strange Dreams
Quote Yesterday as I was pulling out of a drive-through restaurant an old Hispanic homeless man was sitting at a table to my immediate left with his pant leg pulled up exposing bites/sores all over his leg. I handed him the money in my hand which was eleven dollars. His nails were yellow, five times thicker than normal, rounded and there were tons of dirt under them. Last night I had a zombie dream and I opened a box thinking there would be a weapon in it and it was shoes/boots. In the one of the toes was a heavy object that held quarters that overlapped forming a Vesica piscis. At the end the zombies surrounded a house/building and were looking in the windows. They strongly resembled the ones depicted in the game Doomsday: Last Survivors with light brown and tan faces. A portly white woman wearing a checkerboard red & black lumberjack shirt walked in as if controlling the situation and strolling next to her was a thin white woman.

I was first chair trumpet player in Jr High and High School. Chuck Mangione was my idol. He played Flugelhorn, a mellower sounding version of the Trumpet family of instruments (Cornet, Trumpet, Flugelhorn). I remember when his album came out with the "feels So Good"; the song really did make me feel so good. This brings back many memories.

Chuck Mangione, a ‘Smooth Jazz’ Hitmaker With a Fluegelhorn, Dies at 84
In his signature fedora, he gained wide popularity and 14 Grammy nominations, winning the award twice, while scaling Billboard’s charts in the 1970s and ’80s.

Chuck Mangione, whose limpid fluegelhorn ruled the upper reaches of Billboard’s adult contemporary charts in the 1970s and ’80s with a culture-permeating lilt that helped create the genre known as “smooth jazz,” died on Tuesday at his home in Rochester, N.Y. He was 84.

His death was confirmed by his family in a statement, which did not specify a cause.

Mr. Mangione was a true pop star with an instantly recognizable signature silhouette: bewhiskered, his long hair crowned by a turned-down felt fedora. He was nominated 14 times for Grammy Awards and won twice: in 1976 for best instrumental composition, “Bellavia,” and in 1979 for best pop instrumental performance, for the title track from his score to the film “The Children of Sanchez.”

Mangione hits could be grandiose, like “Land of Make Believe,” or lightly funky, like the aptly named “Feels So Good,” a Top 10 hit in 1978. Always melodic, his cotton-candy hooks could bore into listeners’ senses with a mood-elevating rush.

“Feels So Good,” released in 1977, became a double-platinum album, made Mr. Mangione a superstar and cemented his style.Credit... A&M

Mr. Mangione’s smooth jazz borrowed extensively from fusion — the infusion of electronic instruments into the jazz mainstream that Miles Davis had spearheaded in the late 1960s — dosing it with gossamer Flamenco-ish guitar and a disco backbeat, the perfect sonic pillow for his lyrical fluegelhorn. The result was a pop-jazz hybrid with enormous commercial appeal.

“Feels So Good,” released in October 1977 as the title track off what quickly became a double-platinum album, made Mr. Mangione a superstar and cemented his style. It was infused with jazzlike licks but light on true jazz improvisation. Still, it brought the notion of jazz to a vast music-buying public that, for at least a decade, had been focused almost exclusively on rock ’n’ roll and its offshoots.
