One more ... Nahko Bear ... very inspirational folk / rolk / alt.

When you are one step ahead of the crowd, you are a genius.
Two steps ahead, and you are deemed a crackpot.

I just returned from a choir trip to Estonia, 'Laulupidu'.
I sang in male choir part, 4h:46m, and in the end, when all choirs were present.

    https://jupiter.err.ee/1609730066/xx...a-suurkontsert

Pure, sweet, innocent, charming national spirit. Even young males were all-in.

We (a small group) had a long adventure in Tallinn yesterday, but everyday people
in bus stops and everywhere were unbelievably helpful!

Now I am listening above from the perspective of audience.

Wow nice, hope you had lovely time although weather kind of sucked . Typical Estonian summer ,rains more often than not. Some of my relatives went there , i havent asked how it was for them.
At 3h.44m they performed a piece made by a woman i know ( she was my classmate ) but it was only instrumental without singing but still must have been incredible experience for her to see so many people play her music .
This is the one they performed.

    Oh my, thanks Jaak!

That you have friends great enough to be part of 'Laulupidu' tells much of you!
Now I can understand the scale of this!

Yes, weather was wet-wet-wet during the 5 km (3 miles) march. But people in the right and left were in great spirits and said hurraah to us (unknown foreigners) all the time. We responded with a manly 'Hey', and universal happiness was in the air.

But on Sunday, during main concert, Sun gave her sweet smile, and everything was -- fine.

[Edit:] In 06h:16m Tuljak. [/Edit] Ultra-joy. Even natives fought and laughed with the speed.

    • Iyah May Karmageddon Lyric Music Video :

While ‘Karmageddon’ has sparked significant conversation and controversy, Iyah has stood her ground. She refused to compromise her vision when asked to change a key lyric line, leading to the end of her contract with her manager. She chose to walk away from her record label and now, fully independent, Iyah continues to carve her own path as an artist.

Her fearless approach is shaped by her unique perspective as a qualified medical doctor, having worked on the frontlines during the COVID-19 pandemic.
    • Lyrics:
I open up my phone on a Monday morning
    Staring at my screen
I'm tired and a little lonely
Mr Musk he said some **** the lefts are angry
Twitter wars and Gaza man it's overwhelming
Maybe that's how life becomes when
People less important than a profit line
No one cares about your dreams just pay
    Your tax on time
    Keep scrolling
Hold me near to you now
Gender, guns, religion and abortion rights
You better pick a tribe and hate the other side
    Keep scrolling
But did you see Taylor live?

Man made virus watch the millions die
    Biggest profit of their lives
    Here's inflation that's your prize
    This is Karmageddon
Turn on the news and eat their lies
Kim or Kanye pick a side
    Cancel culture what a vibe
    This is Karmageddon
    Corporations swear they never lie
    Politicians bribed for life
    More than war it's genocide
    This is Karmageddon
Welcome to the chaos of the times
If you go left and I go right
Pray we make it out alive
    This is Karmageddon

It's fashion week celebs lose ribs
    Balenciaga how's the kids
Just ask Drake he's losing beef
Kendrick killed him in his sleep
Diss tracks about beating up your queen
While women dying doesn't cause a scene
While we're fed all these distractions
Kids are killed from Israel's actions
    I'mma speak my mind
Sick to death of all these crazy lies
    A circus for humanity's decline
We just want a peaceful life give the people back their rights
And I've still got a beef
Cause Fauci's laughing and we've been asleep
And WHO's a liar and it's running deep
Big pharma finna eat they a devil make them weak

Man made virus watch the millions die
    Biggest profit of their lives
    Here's inflation that's your prize

Back on March 27, 2022 I posted Daryl Hall and The O'Jays - Backstabbers, but that was taken down. I tried replacing it with the original, but it won't work from here...

Anyway, it's some of the greatest music ever, so here's the full playlist from the source: #78 - Daryl Hall hosts The O’Jays on Live From Daryl's House

Check it out if you like.

Hello all, Jaak, I just realised,

This Estonian singing-festival may have been the last.
99% of the singers could have been my family.

But next time, now that borders are open, there shall be a lot
of ... [I cannot even say, I want to cry].

Speaking of positive messages, this one was so unique it's worth another post for any who may have missed it. From the description:

"The music video was filmed in Siberia, Krasnoyarsk Territory, on the Chulym River. 30 km from the village of Pasechnoye (the capital of the Chulyms). This is the birthplace of the members of the OTYKEN group. Chulyms are the smallest indigenous peoples of Siberia. According to one version, the Chulyms are the ancestors of the Japanese Ainu and the indigenous peoples of North America. According to another version, the Chulyms are an ancient Turkic tribe.

The song OTYKEN - STORM talks about the difficulties that people face while traveling to the East. The music of the OTYKEN group is dedicated to giving kindness and warm light to all people on the Earth! The magical power of our music will heal your soul and your body as well, and it can even send you into trance.

Thanks to all the caring people who sent us donations for the filming of the music video OTYKEN – STORM. We tried very hard and gave it our all!"

Just experience it the first time then check the subtitles...

I’ll lament that Australia is a far different place 30 years ago from today. Don’t believe me? Watch this:

At the pinnacle of our achievement as a prosperous and affluent nation, this was recorded live in 1996: Look at the infrastructure in the background. All well-maintained. Look at the fans in the audience. All well-behaved and peaceful. We had a great nation once. Sadly, not anymore.

I think this song is/was somewhat prophetic. But that’s a stretch.

    Studio clip:

Pay attention to the lyrics. Neil had it laid-down many years ago.

    Hi Bluegreen,
I hope you don’t mind me asking — I noticed you used my photo in your post and added a music video just below.
Since I don’t speak English well enough to catch the full meaning, could you please explain what you meant?
I’m just curious — no offence at all, I’m just trying to understand

I'm guessing she was alluding, in a fun and humorous way, that you could be the singer in the video. You do look very similar...

    Thx Raskolnikov. Exactly.

Love to you and yours Edyta
