Got it So what I normally do is set up a lawn chair and just sit there for maybe 20 mins with my feet planted to the ground. I think what I'll do is just apply the vinegar you suggest with a spray bottle (while saving the good stuff for salads) directly on my bare feet and apply my bare feet to the earth without any sandals at all. I don't want to look too sexy Michel..God forbid I drop the soap in front of one those praying mantis'

Maybe someone can help...

I've begun a grounding (or "earthing") practice these last couple weeks, but these Florida ants are chewing up my feet bad. These suckers bite (or sting?) and it leaves these little itchy welts, and I've finally had enough. Doesn't matter where I go, they're there.

I've spent a small fortune on grounding sneakers, but I don't feel as good about the process when I wear them. Question is, is there any alternative? Is there any herbal ant repellent or anything I can put on my feet beforehand to keep them away? That sounds like a silly question, but I'm kinda desperate. Thanks.

There are other forms of the Earth's natural electric charges. As you know, trees are excellent conductors of the Earth's energy due to their deep roots and moisture content. So hugging a tree or even leaning against it with bare skin contact can be a strong grounding experience.

Contact with leaves and living plants that grow directly in soil are other examples of earthing. Such as a walk in a field of tall grasses. The more direct and moisture-rich the contact, ie. barefoot on damp soil, the more effective the grounding.

Though not consider earthing, I experience energetic balancing with the Wind especially when done with intention, mindfulness, and by anchoring my awareness in the present and in my body. Wind is my friend. We work to clear the stagnant or negative energy in my body and its fields. It also helps me experience a greater connection with the natural elements.



UPDATE: Oops. this doesn't answer your question about herbal ant repellent. I'll add my organic recipe for pesky flying things for when I walk. (now posted here)

As they say in South America: ¡jajajajaja! (which in Dutch and German and Afrikaans would mean "yes yes yes yes yes!”).

(As far as I know, a loaf of soap is not a good ant repellent. Praying mantises even eat soap (like we eat bread, actually), they are not that much interested in the body parts presented to them instead.

I don’t know about the kind of ants that eat Mike feet, but my natural bug spray works on horse flies, deer flies, and those tiny black flies also known as "buffalo gnats" and "turkey gnats’. I’d rate the spray as working 95%. Some pests will fly around a few times before they book out. I haven’t tested it beyond 30-45 minutes.

Recipe:

• 2 oz. bottle
• Eucalyptus, Lemon, Citronella, and Peppermint essences

Add 10 drops of each in a 2 oz bottle and top it off with water. The recipe also includes a little bit of vodka. I find it still works without alcohol.

I’ve been noticing subtle shifts in my thoughts, behaviors, and decisions about where to place my focus. There’s a quiet transformation. Something just beneath the surface that I can’t quite name. Some may relate when I say it feels like an inner knowing.

Lately (again), my dreams have been repetitive, blending moments with loved ones who are still here and those who have passed. In the dreams, I ask, “How can this be?” Is it preparing me for the loss of someone close? Or is it me? Are we reconnecting beyond this construct?

A lot of energy still gets tied up in the mind’s loop of old scenarios. But I’ve been pleasantly surprised by this pull towards consciously upgrading the mind, body, and spirit. It doesn’t feel like willpower so much as an internal recalibration. Maybe answering a long-forgotten appointment?

I share the above as context for Erin’s video, “Schumann Update 7/17 | Change in the Air.” A few of her insights resonated directly. For example, last night I was about to sit down for dinner when I was suddenly hit by a wave of nausea but then it quickly passed.

I’ve been tracking the patterns. My sleep cycles often mirror what Erin reports about fluctuations in the Schumann Resonance and Earth’s electromagnetic frequency. Like how last evening I was wide awake between 2:00 and 4:00 am, and finally got up. I was sleepy enough by 6:00 am to catch a few more ZZZzzzzz.

There seems to be something energetic, biological, and spiritual that’s asking for my attention. Fingers crossed it keeps on keeping.
