More than 90 earthquakes have been shaking Kamchatka since yesterday.

Our friends are telling us it is terrifying there right now. It has never been that scary.

Here we observe the seismic waves from the M7.4 earthquake that just occurred off the coast of Kamchatka, Russia (north of Japan). There was a M6.6 foreshock as well as two M6.6 aftershocks after this main event. BOOMSHAKALAKA! We are in the midst of a global seismic burst at the moment, with the M6.7 Banda Sea, the M7.3 Alaska, and now the M7.4/M6.6/M6.6/M6.6 Kamchatka all in less than one week's time. 🌊 A tsunami threat has been declared in several settlements of Kamchatka. People there have felt underground tremors at least four times. The earthquake magnitude is 7.3, and the epicenter is 134 km from Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky.

In some areas, a warning siren is sounding. The shaking is still felt in many areas.
