Yikes! It sounds like some kind of "Men in Black" scenario.
Also like a very powerful poltergeist.
Perhaps the Men in Black are investigating the poltergeist.
I've known some powerful witches, and they were very helpful to me when I was in a tricky situation.
If your friend is able to contact any of the witches from his mother's coven, they might be able to help or at least offer some insights.

It does have that men in black feel to it, in some ways. Or perhaps a gang-stalking tactic or something. Not sure. But it feels like some form of psy-harassment. Or maybe I'm being very dramatic and there's some perfectly reasonable explanation for it, but I can't imagine what that might be.

It needs to be said that from the time my shift begins till it ends, there are hundreds of people in that building. So I don't think they're there for me (I hope not anyway). But I think this week I'm going to approach them and inquire (politely) as to their business there. This weird sh!t has gone on long enough.

It all sounds very unsettling. If I were you, I wouldn't approach them alone. Perhaps bring your ex-military co-worker along if he's on hand. When you say "hundreds of people in that building", do you mean the abandoned school or your building where you work? If the latter, maybe ask around among your colleagues. There has to be someone who knows what's going on in that school.

I agree, but I wouldn't approach them at all.
Given that the men are just sitting in their vehicle for such long periods of time and how suspicious that behavior is, I would think asking the local police to investigate would be a much safer and probably more effective course of action.
If I recall correctly, I think you used to work in a school, though I don't know if that is still the case.
If it is, then, it's particularly suspicious behavior if the crowded building is full of kids!

    The building where I work.

I've never seen anyone on foot in or around that school. Just the parked car.

I arrived at 7am this morning to work, and sure enough that one car was sitting there, parked underneath some trees (but not facing the exit like it is during the week). It's just weird man.

I asked our security guard about it once. He told me that he had to kick some men off our property who were taking pictures of the old school building. I'm pretty sure these are the men who sit in the car during my evening shift.

Onawah had the best idea: tell the police. Report it as suspicious activity and let them check it out. Let your tax dollars do its thing and take the risk for you!
