The Crooked Forest??

Most forest types throughout the world are unique by their own right.



However, deformed trees in Poland seems to lack any sense of logic. With trunks bent in a 90° angle then curved upwards, the Crooked Forest’s trees will leave one to wonder about the source of their defying shape.



With scientific breakthroughs, rarely are cases where a mystery remains unsolved, yet, one small forest in Poland near Gryfino has baffled scientists for decades on end.

The Crooked Forest, roughly 400 pine trees, is believed planted during the late 1920’s and early 1930’s. In spite of their abnormal growth, the trees seem to be doing fine.

While we may never know how this spooky forest came into being, it offers a surreal encounter with one of nature’s most bizarre mysteries.
