article- The Forgotten Voice: Robert Welch and the Blueprint of Control
After Orwell’s boot and Huxley’s pill, Robert Welch went to work. Forgotten by history, his 1958 warnings look less like prophecy and more like the operating manual of our present.
Excerpt:
"Unlike Aldous Huxley or George Orwell, Welch was no novelist. He founded a political organization, not a literary movement. The English writers endure in classrooms because their warnings came wrapped in allegory — 1984 for surveillance, Brave New World for sedation by pleasure. Welch, by contrast, spoke bluntly, on U.S. soil, in real time, in person. He named names, charted strategies, and laid out what he called the “master plan” of creeping tyranny. That very bluntness may explain why his voice has faded, but his warnings have aged into something that feels less like prophecy and more like accurate description."
