    The Method

From 2004 I never watched TV again (when I got Internet) tv shows and movies found plenty on pirate sender...
Then on 2014 was my first series again : Vikings , it was a shock after 10 years that tonen of violence...but I liked.

Later came Vikings Valhalla, and ... what that F... a black woman as Earl ! in Scandinavia? no way!
That is like an Inca Empire movie with a Scandinavian hottie aka Scarlett Johansson in her primes...as princess...

Maybe only in a time travel sci-fi plot...but no way in a pseudo history movie!
Not only bloody Agendas but crank too!

    Now the good news
, there is a tv show from Russia, the first Russian show in Netflix : The Method (2015)

An ambitious young law enforcement graduate is thrilled when her idol takes her on as a trainee. But his methods aren't anything like she imagined. (he hunt psychos)

Because 2015 non woke at all ! the inspector non of the type USA caricature, don't use a gun... and his trainee... well ...Russian woman...hot as hell...but feminine, not vulgar.

what are you waiting for? you will be hooked from the beginning...

Massive influx of Netflix cancellations this week as outrage surges for *inappropriate content* in children's television shows on Netflix. Some such shows aimed at infants.

Most of the controversy surrounds LGBTQ+ propaganda, trangenderism and pronouns. People ask, why is gender such a thing these days? [see thread Transgender issues for more]. Definitely, in my opinion, there's a strong psycho-spiritual element involved in that phenomenon (craze), but we cannot ignore what's being fed into young, pliable minds -- in media, in games, in school, and all over programming on platforms like Netflix, which the kids consume like candy. The keyword here is "programming".

    X dump incoming...

🚨 BREAKING: Netflix is seeing massive subscription cancellations right now as @elonmusk joins boycott over woke content.

I have access to Netflix through my sister ... her subscription allows 4 people to access her account. I don't watch much. The American stuff is usually filled with propaganda, and so much violence. But, there is some good stuff. I rewatched the movie 'Don't Look Up', which is brilliant. Recently I watched a series about the Vietnam War, which was relatively neutral and did not shy away from the reality of how the USA messed up at home and abroad and the damage that did to people's lives.

I actually do not agree with this boycott. Simply stop your children from seeing content that is propaganda. And perhaps it is good to teach your children to make wise choices. It is ironic that Musk is quite happy for his young children to watch extreme violence on Netflix, especially as there are some wonderful Nature shows on the platform.

That "Don't Look Up" movie was actually a kind of propaganda, too, although rather subliminal.
It is meant as a metaphor for the Climate Crisis scam. The main acress being a little 'weird' one is actually the analogue to Greta Thunberg. And the ones who denied that there was a comet about to destroy Earth (including the wacky president lady) were the conservatives and in one scene at the end they even wore red "Maga" hats. To be fair, the progressives were also made fun of in a way.

This being said it is an entertaining movie nonetheless. I also enjoyed it. But it is political.

Netflix has a lot of bad and propagandistic stuff. But they still have good stuff. E.g. I just looked now again and they have for example several Ricky Gervais stand-up shows (and other shows of him) on offer. Their tendency might be too liberal and leftist indeed - and at times creepy and woke - but they keep at least 'some' balance.

You mean The Eternaut? Yeah I've seen the first season recently. Hope they make a new one, it was fine. Although (spoiler warning ... ) in the end it seems to be just the usual body snatcher alien invasion story here we go again type. However, it is always good to see some non-Hollywood/US stuff done so well.

One of my favourite shows is still on there too. It is a genre-wise something I usually do not watch at all (I'm a sci-fi or history guy regarding tv movies or shows).

It is is a mix between legal / court-room and personal drama, about a young woman who starts as a lawyer at a law firm and is also an autist/savant with high intelligence and fotographic memory. Yet this main characer is far from a (wokeness) 'girl boss' and the show is generally not woke. She goes on a hero's journey with lots to learn and many setbacks and (as typical for Korean shows) also a romantic love story but it is only one side plot. It also takes from 'real' legal cases that happened in the Korean legal system as a basis.

Don't even know why I started watching it back then (maybe for lack of alternatives) but I had to binge-watch it in the end. It is what I would call a 'beautiful' show. Not scary, not much action, not thrilling, but still entertaining and beautiful. Despite being a drama it can be quite funny at times, since it is very lighthearted. Even the autism is seen with some good humour. The entire cast is good but the lead actress is outstanding imv. I loved her and the entire show.

So for whoever wants to try sth different from the usual action / dystopian / fantasy / sci-fi stuff, or is fed up with the wokeness epidemic in tv shows, give it a go. Some samples:

This scene makes me tear up a little every time I watch it over and over again (and I'm not a weepy guy at all!). It's about friendship and the expression of appreciation (where do you nowadays still see sth like this in a modern woke Hollywood show?):

So far she's the best second female lead. She didn't change her character or take any revenge on our att.woo for dating her crush. Instead she understood that they both love each other so she changed her heart.

I like that SuYeon did all these kind things, expecting nothing in return, not even acknowledgement. And YoungWoo DOES notice. Friendship goals
