Watching the Reality Show

Bill, when I read your post, so many thoughts run through my mind. Most of us lead relatively mundane, unremarkable lives, and we all want to feel like we’re part of something bigger. People want to make a difference or, at the very least, have some purpose or meaning in their lives. At the end of the day, our emotional response to big issues is about feeling connected, purposeful, and making a positive impact. Occasionally, the facts don't matter (i.e. climate change) much because if people had all the facts, it may remove what little purpose they have in their lives. To others, becoming and staying knowledgeable about big issues makes us feel connected, and that makes a difference in most people's lives. That sense of connection to humanity gives us a touch of something exciting, it makes us feel more alive. It is like we are in the Globe theatre getting a dose of someone else's reality because it gives us a sense of involvement in humanity's enormous issues, and that somehow makes us feel less detached.

Every day, we get drawn back in searching for the updates through all our usual channels, but it never seems to be enough. What I find truly remarkable about our need for meaning, purpose, and especially connection is that it’s not just about being connected to world events like war or politics. Instead, it’s a deeper spiritual need that we are experiencing, a longing to connect to the divine. Of course, this is an inward search that is there for the taking whenever we choose to move in that direction.

I still feel that the above is somewhat clumsy and not that well expressed. I asked this before when I started the thread... but can anyone reading this relate to what I'm trying to say?

Yes 100%. Since the fake pandemic started , I haven't watched TV since april 2020 and canceled my TV subscription.
I don't read anything about war and climate and digital ID and other muppet show misery.
Occasionally, I read the headlines on alternative news websites to see what's on the agenda. But I get the impression that those websites are also brainwashing people with fear porn news.

Regularly checking disturbing stories on social media could lead to changes in how people view humanity and the meaning of life. It's called doomscrolling.
Doomscrolling refers to the compulsive consumption of negative news, such as stories about shootings, terrorism and war.
It has really addictive characteristics.
It means that people are busy with negative news and also feel a strong urge to continue with it. They find it difficult to stop or cut down and feel discomfort when they are not working on it.
Moreover, it has negative consequences for their life and daily functioning.

So yes , I 100% agree with what you write Bill Ryan.

As watching and seeing can be argued to be energetically opposites, here's a, slightly but only slightly flawed-by-religiosity, healthier perspective on the notion of being well informed.

Not just a greater angular field of attention and lesser angular field of 'blind-spot' but also a more nourishing embrace and less manic self erosion.


The subject matter illustrated in this expression can be considered a bracketed variable into which you could swap any field of cosmic curiosity and wonderment or worry. Also, the references drawn upon to inspire this alternative could be swapped out for others more agreeable or recognisable to a given audience. The essence is the 'energy' and the faith. Miss that and you miss the whole thing.

Bumping this. The Reality Show for this early 2026 season might be heading towards a number of dramatic climaxes already.

Now, I'm NOT suggesting in any way that everything we see and hear is not very real indeed — and potentially extremely serious. A 'real' reality show doesn't involve any scripting or acting. It's just a fly-on-the-wall, real-time view of what's actually happening out there. I'm not wishing to trivialize a thing.

So I tune in to the latest daily episode of the Reality Show over my coffee every morning. Almost none of this affects me directly, but every day I feel compelled to learn about the latest twists, turns, surprises, and new dramas. I'm always wondering:

• Will the US attack Iran?
• Will Israel be destroyed?
• Will a US aircraft carrier be sunk?
• Will Iran close the Strait of Hormuz?
• If so, will global gasoline prices treble? (The only part of this show, which is all about distant events, that might possibly affect me directly)
• Will there be 'regime change' in Cuba?
• What's with Trump having so many MRIs and taking so many cognitive tests?
• Will UK Prime Minister Kier Starmer step down?
• Will the former Prince Andrew be convicted?
• Will the UK Royal Family survive?
• Will anyone at all in the US be convicted for the Epstein file horrors, or for the manufactured covid pandemic?
• Will Pam Bondi and Kash Patel resign?
• Will Tyler Robinson be convicted of the murder of Charlie Kirk?
• Will Russia take Odessa?
• Will Zelensky be overthrown?
• Will Maduro be acquitted of all crimes?
• Will Netanyahu be convicted and imprisoned?
• Will the ICJ ever publish a ruling about the Gaza genocide?
• Will Alberta become part of the US?
• Will any acknowledged proof be made public of 2020 US election fraud?
• Will the Artemis II moon mission be delayed till the next season?
• Will Open AI go bankrupt, the AI bubble burst, and the US stock market collapse?
• Will AI humanoid robots become so realistic that it's hard to tell they're not human?
• Will the Flight 12 Starship explode?

And in the next season, starting in November:

• Will the Democrats take the US House and Senate in the mid-term elections?
• If so, will Trump be impeached?
• Will there be a real civil war in the US? (But this might be brought forward to the current season)

And in the season after that, starting next year:

• Will China successfully send men to the moon before the US?
• Will there be any genuine major UFO Disclosure?
• Will anything for real be discovered or disclosed about what lies within or below the Giza Pyramids?
• Will the UN be replaced by a fairer and more workable system for presiding over international law?

I consider the wars, economy and financial breakdowns as distractions. I am always looking for sources who, consciously acknowledge, that the ultimate purpose of all this drama is to render SPIRITS unable to remember that they should be CONSCIOUS and remember the feeling of JOY in their BEING
