    • Gotye - Somebody That I Used To Know (Mick Benjamins' Extended Edit)

    • 10,030,064+ views
After scoring a huge hit in 2011 with his single "Somebody That I Used To Know", Gotye released a so-called 'remix package' on his own website and encouraged his fans to give their own twist to this track.

Mick Benjamins cooked up a version that is more then 11 minutes long, and he is able to keep you hooked all the way through.
This version has less musical elements then the original, making it more pure, and even more haunting!
This version of the track has been picked up by Ame and Marcus Worgull from the Berlin-based Innervisions label, and also by Gerd Janson, label-boss of the Running Back label.

    LYRICS:

Now and then I think of when we were together
Like when you said you felt so happy you could die
Told myself that you were right for me
But felt so lonely in your company
But that was love and it's an ache I still remember

You can get addicted to a certain kind of sadness
    Like resignation to the end
    Always the end
So when we found that we could not make sense
Well you said that we would still be friends
But I'll admit that I was glad that it was over

But you didn't have to cut me off
Make out like it never happened
    And that we were nothing
And I don't even need your love
But you treat me like a stranger
    And that feels so rough
You didn't have to stoop so low
Have your friends collect your records
    And then change your number
I guess that I don't need that though
Now you're just somebody that I used to know

Now and then I think of all the times you screwed me over
But had me believing it was always something that I'd done
And I don't wanna live that way
Reading into every word you say
You said that you could let it go
And I wouldn't catch you hung up on somebody that you used to know...

But you didn't have to cut me off
Make out like it never happened
    And that we were nothing
And I don't even need your love
But you treat me like a stranger
    And that feels so rough
You didn't have to stoop so low
Have your friends collect your records
    And then change your number
I guess that I don't need that though
Now you're just somebody that I used to know

    I used to know
    That I used to know

    Somebody...

With a pleasure Ravenlocke.. I was playing with my soul and dedication this meditation to my late mother... on her 100 year's birthday.. two month before she peacefully died... in my native Slovenia.. two years back....
    Thank you ..
I didn’t know that you are a famous Violinist but truly, definately you were playing from your soul.
Thank you I can practically see floating colors with the music and my deepest sympathy for the loss of your mother, I miss mine too.
    Just passing this thread today..
I think, you did not understand my expression/words rightly Ravenlocke...
I am not famous violinist... but, I am professional violinist.. was teaching in Slovenia in Music School for 27 years.. also having some students in Austria...
My students were playing this Thai Meditation in their 7, 8 years of learning violin...
Many times, my music school String Orchestra also was playing this Massenet's work...
I was playing Thai M.. many many times in my life.. as to my mother for 100 BD...

Here I am placing good video... Perpetuum Jazzile... Slovenian chorus ... they are very very loveable in Slovenia.... and around the world....

    • Greyson Nekrutman Hears Sleep Token For The First Time:

Greyson Nekrutman embraced the challenge by immersing himself in the enigmatic rhythm of the anonymous band Sleep Token. Struggling through initial confusion, Greyson embarked on a musical quest to craft his own part after listening to a drumless track. This wasn't a simple task; "Hypnosis" by Sleep Token is a demanding song. However, in the end, it truly highlighted Greyson's determination and creativity as he navigated this uncharted territory.

The best Finnish group of today, Haloo Helsinki, keep their level.

    Translated by Google:

    [Verse 1]
What if I woke up in the morning and I was God
Would I put on morality or would I be horrible
Would I save the world one cough at a time
And connect the hearts that are separated

    [Chorus]
    Call me God
    So I'll let you breathe
    Call me God
Well, my horses need to be shod
Yes, just turn water into wine
I don't even have a social media account
But I have a billion followers
    Close your eyes
    Follow me
It's not hard to find a replacement

    [Verse 2]
I say or do anything, and everyone listens to me
I throw a stone where someone shouts in the wrong direction
I could start a war and stop it, but
I'm thirsty, I haven't had a drink in weeks, and it's making me drunk

    [Chorus]
    Call me God
    So I'll let you breathe
    Call me For God's sake
My horses need to be shod
Yes, just like water and wine
    I don't have a social media account
But I have a billion followers
    Close your eyes
    Follow me

    This is my church
This is where I heal my hurts
    It in natural grace
    Or watching young life shape

    Between voice and drum
    It's in change
The poetic justice of cause and effect
    Respect, love, compassion
    This is my church
This is where I heal my hurt
    For tonight
    God is a DJ
    God is a DJ
    God is a DJ
    This is my church
    This is my church
    This is my church
