In 2016, the Royal Netherlands Meteorological Institute (KNMI) decided to remove sixteen heat waves from its official measurements before 1950. Officially, this was called “scientific correction,” but the chosen method had precisely the effect that amplified alarmist climate graphs: it suddenly seemed as if heat waves only occurred extremely frequently after 1950.

Maurice de Hond delved into the matter again this week when the manipulated overview of heat waves was shown again on the NOS news. He found new information on a German website. Maurice shows how the figures were literally erased and how even the heat wave in his birth year, 1947, disappeared due to a dubious calculation involving the weather station in De Bilt.

Former NOS weatherman Gerrit Hiemstra used his airtime for years to spread climate alarmist messages. At the same time, he ran his own consultancy, helping companies “prepare for global warming.” A conflict of interest that should never have been permitted in public broadcasting. Yet anyone who raises these kinds of abuses is silenced or dismissed as a "conspiracy theorist." Marianne recounts how she was reprimanded at BNR when she exposed this, and was even sent to Hiemstra by the editor-in-chief to apologize. Intimidation and framing of critics appear to be part of the climate church's strategy.

What makes this story so infuriating is the way so-called "climate science" predicted that global warming/climate change would destroy the rainforests. Yet, contrary to the lies we were told, the forests are not only surviving but thriving and expanding. Despite overwhelming evidence of their health and resilience, the mainstream media do their best to continue their lies with a negative spin on what should be a wonderful story.

We all have a responsibility to protect our environment, ensuring clean air, water, and soil, but we don't need to accept misleading science or higher taxes rooted in falsehoods. Honesty, solid evidence will get us where we need to go, not lies and spin. MSM is committing their own death by a thousand cuts.


Giant trees of the Amazon get taller as forests fatten up on carbon dioxide

"We're not seeing signs of them dying off," one of the study's lead authors told NBC News. "They are increasing in size and number as well."



The giants of the Amazon are getting even bigger.

A sweeping, new study has found the rainforest’s largest trees are not only holding their ground, but they’re thriving — growing, multiplying in number and continuing to play a major role in mitigating the impacts of climate change.

There was a 3.3% expansion in big trees per decade, scientists found, after tracking changes in 188 intact forest plots across the Amazon over the past 30 years.

Led by almost 100 researchers from 60 universities in Brazil, the U.K. and elsewhere, the findings were published Thursday in the journal Nature Plants.

The authors attributed the growth to the rising amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere from the burning of gas, oil and coal.

The paper was welcomed as evidence of forest resilience in the face of climate change, but scientists warned these big trees remain vulnerable as droughts, lightning and fires are increasing in frequency, while deforestation continues to pose a serious threat.

There was an understanding that big trees were “expected to be vulnerable to climate change,” Adriane Esquivel-Muelbert, one of the study’s lead authors, told NBC News in a telephone interview Saturday. “What we see here is actually they seem to be showing quite a resilience.”

“We’re not seeing signs of them dying off,” said Esquivel-Muelbert, who co-authored the study while at Britain’s University of Birmingham but has since moved to the nearby University of Cambridge. “They are increasing in size and number as well.”

Scientists stressed that while protecting intact forest areas was essential to stabilizing the climate, the Amazon cannot on its own offset the vast amount of carbon dioxide produced worldwide by cars, factories and power stations — and it remains under threat.

The rainforest is a carbon sink, meaning it stores more carbon than it produces. Pushing the rainforest past its limit could accelerate climate change and have terrible consequences for local communities, including Indigenous groups who depend on it.

Esquivel-Muelbert stressed it was difficult to predict how worsening climate change would have an impact in the future, and hesitated to say that increased CO2 benefited the forest, warning it may cause bigger trees to become more exposed to other factors like drought.

“We don’t know the consequences in the long run,” she said.

Other factors, including deforestation, remain a colossal risk to the health of the Amazon.

Fattening trees is, in some ways, a “positive news story,” said Rebecca Banbury Morgan, a lead author of the study from the University of Bristol. But it also means that the forest is now “more vulnerable to losing those trees.”

“Although we have shown that trees in intact forest are still increasing in size, any benefits of this in terms of the carbon sink can be quite easily negated by deforestation and logging impacts, so preserving these intact forests is really a priority,” she told NBC News.

Wildfires, deforestation and global warming could permanently destroy the water cycle that sustains parts of the Amazon rainforest if action is not taken in the coming decades, according to a separate study published last year in Nature.

The study suggested that 10% to 47% of the landscape is at risk of transitioning away from rainforest by 2050 if warming and rates of deforestation aren’t dramatically curbed.

Brazil’s Congress approved a bill in 2023 to relax environmental licensing to pave a highway cutting through the heart of the Amazon, and close to one of the last regions that still has large areas of pristine forest.

Losing a large portion of the Amazon could turn a key carbon sink into a source of emissions, as wildfires burn and plants and animals decompose, no longer able to survive.

This was in response to surging reports of cow illnesses since October 1, where farms with over 50 cows have been mandated to use the synthetic additive, Bovaer (containing 3-nitrooxypropanol), developed by DSM-Firmenich. If the farms do not comply, they face heavy fines.

Reports surged of Danish dairy farmers unilaterally halting Bovaer administration, accusing the government of “poisoning” livestock to meet climate targets.

A November 3, 2025, article in LandbrugsAvisen (Denmark’s leading agricultural newspaper), quoted veterinarian Torben Bennedsgaard from BoviCura (a specialized cattle health advisory service closely tied to Danish dairy producers). He stated: “Every other farmer has problems with Bovaer.”

“Bovaer is a proven, effective and safe solution”
A spokesperson for DSM-Firmenich, the company that developed Bovaer, told Agriland, that “animal welfare is our highest priority”. They went on to state: “We are actively engaging with the relevant organisations to ensure that all these concerns are fully investigated and properly addressed..In previously reported cases, Bovaer was not identified as a contributing factor to the health concerns raised…Bovaer is a proven, effective and safe solution that has been successfully used for over three years by thousands of farmers in over 25 countries.”

UK Ripple Effects: Arla Trial Abruptly Halted


On 7 November, the BBC reported that the major UK trial of Bovaer on 30 Arla Foods farms concluded earlier than planned amid “farmer health concerns” for cows, echoing Danish reports. It stated: ‘Bovaer is now the focus of an investigation in Denmark after farmers raised fresh concerns but manufacturer DSM-Firmenich said the additive was “proven, effective and safe.”’

Arla, which supplies major retailers like Tesco and Aldi, is now reviewing data before deciding on wider rollout. The trial aimed to cut methane by 30% but faced criticism for lacking transparency on animal impact.

Jannik Elmegaard, of the Danish Food and Veterinary Administration, told the BBC: “They were very aware that some herd owners have reported animals showing signs of illness after being fed with Bovaer” but it was “unclear how many cows were affected”.

This is Trump being the chaotic grandiose narcissist. Did anyone listen to Joe Rogan talking to Musk recently? How Climate Scenarios Lost Touch With Reality

Scientists often work with assumptions, and when those assumptions are incorrect, everything built upon them can be flawed. In this story they it appears that the emission models were wrong from the start. It is disheartening and concerning to see the media and politicians treat scientific models as infallible. They rarely make efforts to refine or update these models, yet they continue to scream that the sky is falling. The COVID pandemic demonstrated what can happen when scientific projections used to build models are wrong, and the world is still paying for the consequences of those intentional mistakes. To rebuild trust in science, it is essential for experts to transparently explain how models are developed, acknowledge errors, and quickly update them as new information becomes available. Honesty and transparency are the keys to creating a better and more sustainable future. The environment is important, politics, and university grant money need to be removed from all scientific "models".
