    If Tariffs were unconstitutional then every president before the free trade deals has violated it.

    Tariffs were a way of life before about 1980. How quickly we forget if it is convenient.
    I'm as far as one might imagine from being an expert on these matters! But as far as I've been able to understand, it's not that 'tariffs are unconstitutional', but that their use as a proxy for sanctions against a perceived adversary, rather than a purely domestic economic tool, may be what's actually unconstitutional.
    In my view, the problem with Trump's tariffs has always been that he uses them as a bullying tool and a way of extracting money from the American population rather than a protection measure for domestic business and industry. It is not unusual for a country to use tariffs for the latter.

    In my opinion, most governments end up using tariffs to extract more tax from the population rather than protect industry and communities at home. Here is an example: Temu sells a wide range of products very cheaply. So does Walmart. The products that these companies sell are only unique in that they are cheap. South Africa has allowed each of these companies to open major stores in the country. Because of BEE regulations, the government can funnel money to the elite who keep the ANC in power, but the employment provided is a drop in the bucket in solving the unemployment problem and local businesses will not be able to compete with the very low prices that these two giants from the two biggest economies in the world can afford. (By opening stores in the country, Temu and Walmart can side step tariffs and the BEE dividend they have to pay is less than what they would have to pay in tariffs and import costs.)

    The big clue that Trump's tariffs were not designed to protect home business and industry is that they were blanket tariffs. Imposing a high tariffs on a group of islands inhabited by birds and penguins was another clue! At least in South Africa, tariffs are not blanket tariffs (depends on the product and complex trade deals negotiated with other countries).

    Ultimately, Trump's administration has become a war with the people of the USA because his grandiose narcissism drives him and he is surrounded by sycophants instead of people with depth and experience and the patience to do the right thing, long term. He counts on a brainwashed (TV, Internet, social media, influencers ...) population being easy to distract and rile up and gaslight, and they are, except for a number of independents (like Tucker Carlson, Candace Owens, and so on) who, although often misguided, just will not shut up nor censor themselves.

    Ya, let's not talk about the 20 trillion dollars already promised in new American investment.

    Or the many wars that have been stopped because of tariffs.

    This tariffs are a tax line has been debunked. Prices for all goods are dropping, inflation has cooled.

    The globalists are on their back foot now. The red/green alliance is loosing the narrative war. Racist agendas like DEI and diversity hiring has lost its allure. Even the climate hoax is being reversed. The election steal of 2020 and the targeting of Republican pundits has been uncovered. The pipeline for illegal payments through backdoor programs has been laid bare, revealing the hundreds of billions spent without authorization. And the Democrat weaponization of the judicial system, including bogus witch hunts and fabricated evidence is now common knowledge.

    All of this is because of Trump and his "sycophants".

    On one hand, we hear directly from many online testimonies by USA residents telling the world they can't make ends meet anymore because of inflation.
    On the other hand, we hear from Trump and his ever diminishing circle of supporters that the economy is hunky dory and prices have gone down.

    It doesn’t matter which grocery chain you go to, prices are high everywhere, I used to find Trader Joe had reasonable prices but now they don’t, 2 bags for $130 at least and to keep prices from going up too much they changed ingredients to lower quality on various products. Walmart isn’t cheap either.
    Even Costco prices are high and every time I go there prices keep rising. Sale price now is actually what the item used to cost at regular price.
    If it is a perishable item and it hasnt moved, they usually lower the price to a good sale price before the item goes bad.

    I don't think people understand what the tariffs (investments) mean that Trump is talking about. I saw this today in the news. This is one company's investment in one state. Toyota is investing much more throughout the country. Trump is talking about 18-20 trillion of new investment through new tariffs in the USA from foreign countries and foreign firms. Tariffs are driving much of these investments.

    Toyota opens massive North Carolina battery plant, confirms $10B US investment

    Battery plant located in North Carolina expected to create over 5,100 new jobs

    Toyota announced Wednesday it has officially begun production at its new $13.9 billion battery manufacturing plant in North Carolina, while committing an additional $10 billion to bolster its U.S. manufacturing over the next five years.

    The 1,850-acre facility in Liberty, North Carolina, marks the automaker's first battery plant outside Japan and is expected to create up to 5,100 new American jobs, Toyota said.

    "Today’s launch of Toyota’s first U.S. battery plant and additional U.S. investment up to $10 billion marks a pivotal moment in our company’s history," said Ted Ogawa, CEO of Toyota Motor North America. "Toyota is a pioneer in electrified vehicles, and the company’s significant manufacturing investment in the U.S. and North Carolina further solidifies our commitment to team members, customers, dealers, communities, and suppliers."

    Depends on what brainwave and frequency level you're at, what trance one is in....we're seeing and being bombarded with numerous psyops, a collision of many psyops severely distorting reality.

    The testimonies by USA residents telling the world they can't make ends meet anymore because of inflation are the real truth tellers because they are functioning beneath the psychotic level where all these psyops are colliding.

    Many live in but ignore the truth, instead choosing tribalism, hatred, and division to play along in the many psyops, knowingly or unknowingly. It's their identity. Some of us see the multiple psyops going on and know something is being set up to happen that will severely change every ones reality on all levels. The tribalism and division is by design to prevent us "peasants" from uniting and stopping what's coming.

    Personally, I hear many lies and liars everywhere, and I'm also seeing many innocent people trying to make some sense of the mass confusion and chaos while they go broke and lose everything they have.

    Prepare for a wicked storm, it's on the horizon and moving fast.

    Here's the latest approval rates for Donald Trump, by The Economist. I cannot vouch for the reliability of The Economist regarding polls, but it's interesting to see that Trump's ratings are remarkably low, and the biggest concern among USA residents is the economy or inflation. (If you know of other polls from other agencies, please let's compare.)

    Yes, this is a positive outcome of tariffs. Toyota evades tariffs and import duties, but instead pays tax and retains the US market (great for Toyota shareholders in Japan) so the US government does not necessarily get more money out of Toyota. However, Americans get jobs (and the US government can extract tax from them and gets social stability), so that is a win for Trump, and ultimately the US. Japanese shareholders are happy, but the Japanese lose jobs. Countries use incentives or tariffs and import duties to 'force' foreign companies to do what Toyota has done. It makes sense, and African countries are trying to get the developed world to accept the same strategy on the continent where exploitation has made the developed world very rich and kept African countries poor.

    One of the many problems with Trump is that he doubles down on using force rather than power, because of his grandiose narcissism, and the world is pushing back on that. Some Americans may think this is great (because they fervently believe in American exceptionalism and greatness) but the use of force has a very dark side, as people in Gaza, Ukraine, Syria, Iran, Yemen, Libya, etc. have and are experiencing. Unfortunately, the USA has always refused to take accountability for its destructive use of force. Those who have destroyed Gaza are not going to pay for reconstruction but are going to benefit from that reconstruction.

    Exclusive: GM wants parts makers to pull supply chains from China

    Summary:
    - GM asks parts makers to gradually exit their China supply chains
    - U.S.-China tensions prompt automotive supply chain shifts
    - Rewiring supply chains from China is costly, complex

    DETROIT, Nov 12 (Reuters) - General Motors (GM.N), opens new tab has directed several thousand of its suppliers to scrub their supply chains of parts from China, four people familiar with the matter said, reflecting automakers’ growing frustration over geopolitical disruptions to their operations.

    GM executives have been telling suppliers they should find alternatives to China for their raw materials and parts, with the goal of eventually moving their supply chains out of the country entirely, the people said. The automaker has set a 2027 deadline for some suppliers to dissolve their China sourcing ties, some of the sources said.

    GM approached some suppliers with the directive in late 2024, but the effort took on fresh urgency this past spring, during the early days of an escalating U.S.-China trade battle, the sources said. GM executives have said it is part of a broader strategy to improve the company’s supply chain “resiliency,” the sources said.

    Geopolitical tensions between the two superpowers have left car executives in triage mode throughout 2025. U.S. President Donald Trump’s on-again, off-again tariffs and bouts of industry panic over potential rare-earth bottlenecks and computer-chip shortages have auto companies rethinking their ties to China, long an important source of parts and raw materials.

    Automakers and suppliers have responded to Trump’s push for investment and jobs by taking early steps to expand U.S. factory work. But industry executives say they also sense a longer-term, bipartisan shift in U.S.-China relations, and some are moving to unwind China ties that are decades in the making.

    The GM effort targets parts and materials that go into cars built in North America, where the company makes the majority of its vehicles globally. GM prefers to obtain parts from North American factories for vehicles built in the region but is open to non-U.S. supply lines outside of China, the sources said.

    GM’s directive includes several other countries that, like China, are subject to U.S. trade restrictions because of national-security concerns, such as Russia and Venezuela. China is by far the largest source for automotive parts on the list.

    The automaker already had been among the most active car companies in weaning itself from a reliance on China for battery materials and computer chips. It has partnered with a U.S.-based rare-earths company and invested in a lithium mine in Nevada for future electric-vehicle battery materials, for example. But the latest effort is broader and includes more basic components and materials.

    A GM spokesperson declined to comment on the company’s discussions with its supply base. GM CEO Mary Barra has described efforts to move more of the company’s supply chain to the U.S.

    “We've been working now for a few years to have supply chain resiliency,” Barra said during GM’s quarterly conference call in October, adding that the automaker tries to source parts in the same country where it builds the cars, when possible.
    Shilpan Amin, GM’s global purchasing chief, said at a conference last month that the risk of supply disruptions has forced the automaker to move away from simply tapping the lowest-cost countries.

    “Resiliency is important — making sure you have more control over your supply chain and you know exactly what is coming where,” he said.

    CARMAKERS FRET OVER TARIFFS, PARTS SHORTAGES
    The U.S. and China agreed to roll back a number of tariffs and export barriers following a meeting in late October between Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping. Still, auto executives have grown tired of the volatile trade dynamics between the countries and the fallout on their supply chains, in an industry where product-planning cycles stretch many years.

    Parts suppliers and carmakers already had been tilting their supply chains away from China to avoid tariffs put on during Trump’s first term. This year, a barrage of China tariffs unleashed soon after Trump took office triggered a series of counterpunches from China.

    In April, China clamped down on exports of parts that contain rare-earth elements that are used extensively inside cars, sending auto companies racing to stockpile components. In October, China added restrictions on shipments of more rare-earth elements.

    Worries over potential factory disruptions flared again late last month, when an intellectual-property dispute between Chinese and Dutch authorities led China to halt shipments from supplier Nexperia, which sells cheap computer chips that go into electronics in cars worldwide. The move prompted industry warnings of widespread factory interruptions.

    REWIRING SUPPLY CHAINS CAN TAKE YEARS
    For parts suppliers, re-routing supply chains outside of China can be costly and complex. China has become so dominant in some areas of the automotive supply chain – such as lighting, electronics and tool and die makers, which forge custom components – that it is hard to find alternatives, supplier executives say.
    “It’s a big effort. Suppliers are scrambling,” an executive at one large parts maker said of GM’s initiative.

    Collin Shaw, head of MEMA, the Vehicle Suppliers Association, said car companies and big suppliers have been working to “de-risk” their supply chains by cutting back on content from China and some other countries. But the network of commodity parts and raw materials inside China is deeply rooted, complicating efforts to find alternatives.

    “In some cases this has been 20 or 30 years in the making, and we’re trying to undo it in a few years,” he said. “It’s not going to happen that fast.”

    What a great synopsis on many topics, post-WWII free trade efforts, why Europe and Britain want the Ukraine / Russian war to continue and Obamacare. She is the first person I have seen openly speak about Obamacare being about money and not about healthcare in any way, shape or form.

    Unravelling the BBC disaster will expose many sins that have rarely been seen and only occasionally spoken about. There is no doubt in my mind that if Trump goes forward with a case against the BBC, they will immediately settle for any amount to avoid much of the truth coming out in court. Great video.

    MTG's response:

    Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene - November 14, 2025

    President Trump just attacked me and lied about me. I haven’t called him at all, but I did send these text messages today. Apparently this is what sent him over the edge.

    The Epstein files.

    And of course he’s coming after me hard to make an example to scare all the other Republicans before next weeks vote to release the Epstein files.

    It’s astonishing really how hard he’s fighting to stop the Epstein files from coming out that he actually goes to this level.

    But really most Americans wish he would fight this hard to help the forgotten men and women of America who are fed up with foreign wars and foreign causes, are going broke trying to feed their families, and are losing hope of ever achieving the American dream.

    That’s what I voted for.

    I have supported President Trump with too much of my precious time, too much of my own money, and fought harder for him even when almost all other Republicans turned their back and denounced him.

    But I don’t worship or serve Donald Trump.

    I worship God, Jesus is my savior, and I serve my district GA14 and the American people.

    I remain the same today as I’ve always been and I will continue to pray this administration will be successful because the American people desperately deserve what they voted for.

    For me, I remain America First and America Only!!!

    Obamacare Gets Shown The Door

    WOW! President Trump has the Democrats TOTALLY CORNERED on Obamacare

    "I am calling today for insurance companies NOT to be paid. But for this massive amount of money be paid DIRECTLY to the people so they can buy their own healthcare!"

    "Their stocks have gone up 1,000%! Because our country STUPIDLY pays them so much money with this Obamacare scandal."

    "I want the money to go directly to YOU, the PEOPLE!"

    "We will pay a lot of money to the people, and FORGET this Obamacare madness!"

    Political disaster to oppose this.

    Update On The War On Drugs

    BREAKING: In an enormous victory, FBI Director Kash Patel announces the pipeline to create fentanyl has been SHUT DOWN IN MEXICO and worldwide, saving tens of thousands of Americans

    "Effective immediately, President Trump has shut off the pipeline that creates fentanyl that kills tens of thousands of Americans! These substances are now BANNED and they will no longer be utilized by the Mexican drug trafficking organizations or any other DTOs around the world to make this drug!"

    "The Chinese government agreed on a plan to stop fentanyl precursors. What does that mean? The People's Republic of China has fully designated and listed ALL 13 precursors utilized to make fentanyl."

    "They have agreed to control 7 chemical subsidiaries that are also utilized to produce this lethal drug."

    "This historic achievement has saved tens of thousands of lives. This historic achievement would not have been possible without the tremendous team of President Trump, the Attorney General, the Department of Justice, the Federal Bureau of Investigation and Ambassador Perdue in China."

    Just WOW. This is massive! It can't be talked about enough.

    So, as per the above post, the drug pipeline was in... MEXICO? So, it wasn't Venezuela after all?
    So why was the Trump administration blowing up boats off Venezuela's coast recently, murdering Venezuelans and Columbians (most likely fishermen)?

    Let's just hope that with this latest 'news' about Mexico, the Trump administration has lost their pretext to attack Venezuela and steal its resources.

    Strong words (and I think accurate ones) from Alexander Mercouris, starting in at 32:18 in his video update for today:

    ~~~
    Since I've mentioned Donald Trump, I think that I want to just say a few more things about where he stands at the moment. Because over the last 36 hours, he has had what I can only describe as a kind of meltdown.
    He's turning on people who used to be in the United States his staunchest, his loyalist supporters, the same people who enabled him ultimately to win his various political and legal battles during his years in the wilderness after the 2020 election and who were instrumental in bringing him back to the presidency again.
    He has written astonishing comments about Marjorie Taylor Greene and Representative Thomas Massie. He has also of course been increasingly critical and indeed abusively critical of the commentator Tucker Carlson. He said extraordinary things about Senator Rand Paul. He is obviously becoming increasingly isolated, and seems to be taking steps to make himself more isolated still.
    And there is no doubt at all that the proximate cause of this, and in fact a large part of the cause of this, is indeed the controversy over the Epstein files which of course he currently refers to as a "hoax" — which is going to upset and alarm and anger many people, many of his own supporters; even more if it really is a hoax, which by the way I should make clear I don't for a moment think it is.
    Perhaps Trump himself ought to remember that it is a "hoax" that he himself gave life to, because of course it was he who repeatedly promised before the election that brought him back to the presidency that he would make full disclosure of the entire document file.
    There's a point past which I might still trust any "Big Name" person to be what they seem, or to have some special connection with the truth.
    I tend to cheer when they take a position that agrees with my (ever evolving) take on events, and ignore them otherwise. Figuring stuff out for myself remains an essential endeavor, regardless of what the Big Names say or do.
    I continue to figure that forums of ordinary people, with extraordinary experiences or insight, such as Avalon, provide a substantial and vital platform for improving our insight and understanding. I remain deeply hopeful that humanity is awakening and freeing itself from millenia of suppression of our bodies, minds, and souls. Sometimes that means that I am hopeful that the apparent meltdown of a major player, a "Big Name" such as Trump, serves this awakening and freeing, in ways that seem contrary to that very purpose.
    Events are proceeding at such an incredible pace, with so many layers of complication that I doubt anyone will really know the truth of it all until much time has passed and more detailed research can be undertaken, as has so often proven to be the case with recent history.
    One observation I will make is that people who are under as much intense pressure and public scrutiny as Trump is, who may also be targeted by who-knows-what kinds of stealthy weaponry and other attacks and pressures we don't even hear about, can easily be subject to breakdowns.
    ...And can also be taken over by archontic beings once the stress becomes too much for them.
    They are only human, and we are all rather frail creatures after all...
    I am not offering any opinion about the events named above as I have no opinion yet at this juncture. Just adding a little context...
    Huh? The source on X you are referencing here (presumably Donald Trump) seems to be claiming that Rand Paul Jr. and Rep. Thomas Massie are the same person??? Or is he just comparing the two to underline the similarities?
    In another switcharoo, Trump now calls for the release of the Epstein files. But Thomas Massie points out that if the FBI has "an investigation in a certain area, those documents cannot be released". In other words, Trump's latest call for the release of the Epstein files for investigation might just be a ruse to keep these files from the public eye.
    Trump also disparages Marjorie Taylor Greene, who said she has been threatened after her calls for releasing the Epstein files.
