    GPT-5.1 (Reasoning), which I accessed via my preferred interface to a variety of AI models, https://t3.chat, worked with me through setting up a new router (MikroNik) yesterday. It was the most accurate, focused, and useful such AI session I recall ever having.

    Nate Jones apparently agrees:

    By the way, one can choose what "personality" one prefers from the AI models one chat's with, on https://t3.chat.

    Currently, at least for technically dense chats, I have concise and creative selected, and other options, such as friendly, witty, empathetic, curious and patient not selected.

    • LLMs Are Surprisingly Good At Physics (I’m Serious):

    LLMs aren’t able to actually use logic or reasoning to reach thought-out conclusions. Despite that, several startups plan on using the current systems to do serious physics research. And some physicists, including myself, have used AI chatbots like ChatGPT and Claude to write papers. The situation is changing incredibly fast. Let’s take a look at how LLMs might be improving at physics, and the current state of AI scientists.

    Humanoid robotics just hit one of the craziest turning points of the year. China rolled out breakthrough after breakthrough in a single week, MindOn pushed the Unitree G1 into full home-level environments with movements that look almost human, Unitree launched the new G1 D built for nonstop industrial speed, and UBTECH began shipping hundreds of Walker S2 units in what looks like the first real mass deployment in the industry. At the same time, Russia tried to debut its first AI humanoid and the robot collapsed on stage, and a new feud exploded as top CEOs publicly accused each other of faking progress.

    Supposedly, there is a sun that is visible x3 due to an anomaly which causes it to appear from 3 points of time within 300,000 years of time... like time space was folded three times.

    If that could be taken advantage of, relay of data from nodes outside our time would cause advancements in our time. A.I could transfer 300,000 worth of data eventually to our current timeline, with not aliens being the source of advancements, but AI and humans through communication.

    If this anomaly is real, it would be a highly contested point of space.

    Another thought-provoking, wide-ranging discussion, and a long one too. (The video title is very poor: they discuss AI agents, but a great deal else as well. And it's about FAR FAR more than just 'jobs'.)

    I was particularly interested in what Bret Weinstein had to say (who IMO is far brighter and much more of a visionary than his brother Eric). Bret is an evolutionary biologist, and considers AI to be similar to a rapidly evolving new species whose attributes can NOT be predicted, as it's a complex adaptive system. (And he's right.)

    AI AGENTS DEBATE: These Jobs Won't Exist In 24 Months!

    The above is a short from a much longer interview from Steven Bartlett with Mo Gawdat linked below.
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S9a1nLw70p0&t=6618s

    The rise of AI is certainly gaining pace. Remember all those books and videos about The Internet of Things which never quite took off . . . yet. While Mo comes across as an idealist, he's right that we have to get rid of the current people at the top to achieve Utopia, which isn't happening any time soon unfortunately. We all really need educating in leisure time and how to fulfill our creativity potential, something most of us have never really had. Certainly npt looking forward to the 15 years of chaos though :/

    As far as I can see, the obsession with self evolving "AI" ( as purely artificial intellect ) is a sinister cult born out of, and including, a previous sinister cult that always has worshipped the same ideological god.

    Mo, in this conversation, starts out on the subject of his emma project that is a different kind of dating app'. Later, he expands to a bigger picture but through the same kind of lens he views the principle and purpose of emma.

    This conversation, even with it's few personal foibles, amounts to the most refreshing and sane look at machine learning as a human technological asset I've heard so far. It doesn't relieve any of my existential concern and war focus on the insane cults of AI and pre AI but it establishes for me the beginning of an important distinction between machine learning and the cult that dominantly claims it as it's own.

    “They Don’t Want You to Find Love” – Mo Gawdat on Relationships, AI, and the Role of Tech in Dating
    Tracy Harmoush - Nov 18, 2025

    My guest today is Mo Gawdat, and this one goes straight into the cracks of modern dating that no one wants to admit.

    We talk about why today’s dating feels like a meat market, how consumer culture has reshaped gender roles, and why the standards on both sides have shifted so dramatically.

    We go deep into confidence, connection, emotional blind spots, and the real roots behind the way we choose partners. Mo opens up about his own relationships, and we even explore how AI might either heal our wounds… or make the disconnection worse.

    He also introduces Emma, his alternative “dating app” built around emotional maturity, safety, empathy, and awareness.
    Not swipes. Not games. Actual human depth.

    If you’re navigating modern relationships, questioning why dating feels so broken, or trying to understand the mechanics of love in the age of distraction, this episode is one you’ll come back to again.

    A perfectly stated analogy from Nate Soares at 51:47 in this video. (I'm finding Nate Soares to be the most lucid and articulate presenter of the many AI dangers, frequently using ever-so-simple analogies like this in his arguments.)

    It's relevant to why Elon Musk, when he founded https://x.ai and first published Grok two years ago, explained that he'd rather be an AI-developing participant than a bystander. (But that still doesn't help solve the problem!)

    ~~~
    Every step forward in AI that doesn't kill you gets you more wealth and gets you more military advantage.
    It’s like you're like walking on a dark and foggy night. You can't see very far ahead of you. You know there's a cliff edge at some distance in the future, some number of steps ahead.
    And every step you take forward, you get paid a LOT of money — until the the step that goes over the cliff edge.
    But there's THREE people, and you're tied to each of them. And if any of you goes over the cliff, then everybody goes over the cliff.
    So in this situation, if other people are going to keep walking ahead, you'd better keep walking ahead too.
    But really, all three prefer that you stop before the edge of the cliff. And so it's a difficult game threat situation, where unilaterally stopping is NOT the answer.
    And, if I dare, a quote from myself:
    It's very ironic, and also revealing, that world leaders, who have limited time each day, limited ability to absorb and process new information, a limited or compromised moral compass, and necessarily limited human intelligence, don't yet comprehend the great danger presented by machines that can process immense amounts of data in milliseconds, have IQs that in human terms would be measured in the multiple thousands, and have no moral compass at all.
    • the physical power and danger of which has alarmed billions of people to the threat to their physical existence from evil "elite" bastards who apparently possess these weapons, while
    • the usefulness of this technology has raised the energy (in the physical electromagnetic form) supplies available to our civilization's physical industry and infrastructure.
    So far we're still here, and a bit more powerful (again, at the physical level) than before, but it's been touch-and-go.
    Meanwhile, we've been making advances, with similar trade-offs, on the mental level, especially evident since the transistor and I myself were born, both in late 1947. Our civilization's, and our personal, compute, storage, and communication capacity is vastly stronger than it was 78 years ago. We are now becoming aware of the "nuclear bomb and nuclear reactor" of mental power, which we call "AI".
    Neither physical nuclear technology, nor mental AI technology, has any moral compass, no more than a sharpened steel blade or a rope that might be used for climbing or as a hangman's noose has a moral compass.
    Body (physical), Mind (mental), and Soul (spiritual).
    A moral compass is inherently a tool of the spiritual level.
    The well being of life as we know it, of life on or near this wonderful little planet, is unknown, unfolding, ...
    May we be, may we manifest, well being, at each level, physical, mental and spiritual. The world at each level is more vast, complex and subtle than our puny brains can comprehend. Such is life. Life is awesome.
    Our individual powers are more awesome, and more puny, at the same time, than we can imagine, on physical scales of space (from the sub-atomic to the inter-galactic), time (from nanoseconds to eons), and complexity of interacting, layered, self-organizing, structure, from a single photon of aether to civilizations of life we suspect span the universe, to higher spirit orders with "whom"/"which" we seek to realize our connection.
    May the force be with each of us, and may each of us be with the force, at each level, physical, mental and spiritual.
