President Trump's proposed 'Golden Dome' defense shield

This new video isn't about the Golden Dome as a 'new weapon in modern warfare'. It's a terrific presentation by Professor Ted Postol about why such a thing could not and would not work.

It's actually Postol's response to the excellent recent Netflix movie A House of Dynamite (all about failed US missile defense, and the consequences that follow), but I didn't post it where that was discussed, in the Avalon thread titled Nuclear War - Annie Jacobsen, as Postol's presentation below is really very technical and I think better belongs here.

In A House of Dynamite, the chances of a ballistic missile interceptor (called an Exoatmospheric Kill Vehicle, or EKV) destroying its incoming missile target are stated to be 61%, "hitting a bullet with a bullet".

Postol explains in a fascinating and detailed sequence of slides why

1. It's harder than hitting a bullet with a bullet,
2. The chances of success in a real-world situation are 0%, and
3. Why the US tests that have been done were all rigged.
