There are definitely more but this is my starter evidence hahaha. I feel like I'm seeing a few different tropes going on within the name...all surrounding the idea of either a targeted individual or a major player in the big chess game.
Song explanation: 
A band that came to mind after reading your post, which my friends and I used to drool over way back in high school, was called Ash. So, I looked them up to see if any of their songs are still online and sure enough. The one that we loved most was called Girl from Mars. 
!! That is an interesting concept on the idea I am trying to explain. It feels like there is a girl who is trapped watching the rest of the world while a group of fancy "elites" watch and attempt to control her.
