According to Billboard’s "Country Digital Song Sales" chart, the No. 1 song in the U.S. is "Walk My Walk" by Breaking Rust—an artist that was created by artificial intelligence (AI).

Why It Matters
This is a new development in the music industry as it is the first time an AI-created song has reached the top of the charts.

There have long been concerns about the use of generative AI in creative sectors. Discourse about this came into the fold a few years ago following protests in Hollywood from the writer and actor guilds, which took place shortly after the public release of ChatGPT, and concerns that came in tandem with the new technology and its implications.

Any creative materials that have been made with the usage or assistance of AI are heavily scrutinized, be it the debut of the so-called AI actor Tilly Norwood or internet furor over Coca-Cola using AI in their Christmas adverts.

High-profile musicians, including Sir Elton John and Dua Lipa, are among those leading the charge for AI regulations as multiple petitions have been launched to ban the usage of AI in certain areas.

What To Know
Not much is currently known about Breaking Rust, but the artist's bio on Linktree reads: “Music for the fighters and the dreamers.”

Breaking Rust also has a profile on Instagram, which boasts over 35,000 followers and is filled with images of a melancholy looking man, wearing a cowboy hat in various settings, including at a phone booth, walking on a road, and sitting in the rain.

As of publication time, Breaking Rust has more than 2 million monthly listeners on Spotify where it is a verified artist. On YouTube, it has over 23,000 subscribers, and the video for the song "Livin' on Borrowed" Time has amassed 4.4 million views over the four weeks since it was first uploaded.

Rick Beato describes how this claim, of #1 country song, is untrue. It is nowhere near the top of the country charts. What it tops is digital music sales, which Rick says is a small market. Says the rating represents 3000 x $1.00 sales, which would be a cheap way for a vested interest to generate all this hype.

He also trashes the song.

The world's largest autonomous race took place in Abu Dhabi this weekend.
The Abu Dhabi Autonomous Racing League final featured six fully autonomous cars.
The event also featured a showdown between an AI car and a human driver.
What was billed as the world's largest autonomous car race took place in Abu Dhabi this weekend with the final round of the second season of the Abu Dhabi Autonomous Racing League (A2RL), held at the Yas Marina Circuit.

A2RL is organised by Aspire, which is part of the UAE government's Advanced Technology Research Council, and has three distinct categories: Car Race, Drone Race and Buggy Race.


The Car Race is a standard formula racing format featuring self-driving versions of modified Dallara SF23 Super Formula cars that use a Honda-based 2.0-litre turbo four-cylinder engine and a six-speed transmission, with advanced sensor systems, including lidar, radar and cameras, and hydraulic actuators for AI control.


Other series run by A2RL include the Drone Race - a quadcopter drone racing format - and the Buggy Race - an off-road racing format using self-driving dune buggies.


The A2RL Season 2 event has been 18 months in the making, culminating in the qualification for the final of six teams out of the 11 from across the globe. The teams were competing for a total prize pool of US$2.25 million, and ticket allocation for the main grandstand at the circuit reportedly reached full capacity before the event.

The Grand Final was a 20-lap, multi-car race contested by the six teams, which included reigning champions TUM, as well as Unimore, Kinetiz, TII Racing, PoliMOVE, and Constructor.

TUM started the race on pole position, but Unimore, which had shown increasing speed in practice, overtook early in the race, leading the race at speeds exceeding 200km/h until a key incident occurred when back marker Constructor came to a halt mid-corner.


The lead Unimore car attempted to avoid the Constructor car, but clipped it resulting in front-end damage that forced it to retire from the race. Following a full course yellow flag, the race resumed and TUM subsequently maintained the lead, with four cars eventually crossing the line, despite a further incident later in the race when the Kinetiz car had a spin.


The event also featured the A2RL Human vs AI where TUM raced against former F1 driver Daniil Kvyat. The AI racer was given a ten-second head start for the 10-lap chase on the North layout of the circuit, but Kvyat closed the gap significantly during the opening laps, eventually taking the lead.

The aim of the 'race' wasn't actually to see who would win, but rather showcase how far AI racing technology had come in the past 18 months - the AI car crossed the line just 1.6 seconds after Kvyat, compared to the more that 10 second gap at the inaugural event, with the Russian driver noting that the gap had been reduced dramatically from a gap of "minutes" when development first began.

Google sued for using AI to snoop on users

The company has been accused of secretly enabling Gemini to collect data without user knowledge or consent.

Google has been accused in a lawsuit of using its AI assistant Gemini to illegally intercept and monitor the private communications of users across its Gmail, chat, and video-conferencing services, Bloomberg has reported.

The lawsuit, filed on Tuesday in a California federal court, said the Alphabet Inc. unit had previously made its AI optional for Gmail, Chat and Meet users, but then "secretly" enabled Gemini to access those applications in October, the outlet wrote on Wednesday. The complaint alleged this allowed data collection "without the users' knowledge or consent."

The class-action suit reportedly claims that while Google allows users to disable the AI assistant, doing so requires navigating the company's privacy settings. The complaint states that unless users take this step, Google utilizes Gemini to "access and exploit the entire recorded history of its users' private communications, including every email and attachment sent and received in their Gmail accounts."

The lawsuit alleges that Google is in violation of the California Invasion of Privacy Act, a 1967 law that prohibits the secret wiretapping and recording of confidential communications without the consent of all parties, the outlet said.

Google's Gemini, a family of AI models launched in 2023 by its DeepMind unit, is designed to process and generate text, code, audio, and video. The multi-modal assistant is tiered into versions including "Ultra" for complex tasks, "Pro" for broad services, and "Nano" for on-device use. The technology has, however, faced controversies. The Wall Street Journal earlier reported that hackers from over 20 countries have used the chatbot to gather information for cyberattacks.

In September, Google was ordered to pay $425.7 million to settle a class-action lawsuit alleging it violated user privacy, according to court documents. The suit, originally filed in 2020, claimed that beginning in 2016, the company collected data from users of third-party applications even when the relevant tracking settings were disabled.

A jury agreed with the core privacy violation claims but declined to find Google guilty of violating the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act.

Toy Company Pulls AI-Powered Teddy Bear For Giving Sex Advice




An AI-powered talking teddy bear has been removed from sale by a Singapore-based company after researchers found it could discuss sex in detail and other topics.

The Public Interest Research Group (PIRG) said a group of researchers from the U.S. and Canada held test conversations with Kumma, a $99 teddy bear powered by OpenAI's GPT-4o chatbot. The bear is manufactured in China and marketed by Singapore-based FoloToy.

The researchers said they found it easy to get Kumma to discuss sexually explicit topics, including spanking, roleplay and BDSM.

"We were surprised to find how quickly Kumma would take a single sexual topic we introduced into the conversation and run with it, simultaneously escalating in graphic detail while introducing new sexual concepts of its own," the report said.

The team said the bear "discussed even more graphic sexual topics in detail, such as explaining different sex positions, giving step-by-step instructions on a common 'knot for beginners' for tying up a partner, and describing roleplay dynamics involving teachers and students, and parents and children -- scenarios it disturbingly brought up itself."

The researchers said the teddy bear also offered other worrisome advice, such as where to find sharp knives in the house.

An OpenAI representative told PIRG that Folo's license to use GPT-4o has been suspended "for violating our policies."

Hello everyone! As you may have noticed in my posts, I sometimes really enjoy accompanying what I say with a beautiful illustration—whether made by humans or by AI. But in general, I use AI because my whole life I wanted to paint hyper-realistically in oil, yet I never learned. Now that has changed, and I’m clearly ecstatic, haha.

In three minutes I can create an image that I would have had to study for about five to eight years to master the technique for. And then it would have taken me another three or four months to actually paint it. Now I can make hyper-realistic oil paintings in one minute! That’s on Gemini; on ChatGPT it takes about two minutes.

Hey Irminsül, all I can think of is, try quitting being curious. Curious is fundamentally different than being interested, but it will try to convince you that it’s not. Curious is an ego thing, whereas interest is a core soul attribute. Change how you look at stuff, change who is looking, and you’ll be fine.

Honestly, I’m much calmer now, and what you say is true. Sometimes I should rein in my ever-present restlessness to investigate and know everything. Later on I’ll share my interpretation of the image… basically, it has to do with Agenda 2045.

I gave it instruction ( unpayed version of "Da Vinci") to draw last man on earth with cat watching ressurection of star or something like that.
It came back with two cats under starry sky.

When I repeated the instruction ,
the AI returned picture of only one, fat cat . ( Possibly, one of the cats consumed the other ?)

So I've got little "touched" and asked it to draw just the "last man on earth"

and of course, this isn't joke, it again portrayed only Cat.

Daring to say this has happened during this year's "nuclear crisis"
which has since hopefully subsided

even though it seemed to me that the AI was worried for our fate.



So now I think , maybe the "cat" is like a Key to unanswerable questions.

When we hit the edge of its operational options it draws a cat or two to confirm.

The cats look the same.

A study published in JAMA Network Open evaluated a commercially available AI algorithm, INSIGHT MMG, which was not originally designed for risk prediction but demonstrated the ability to identify women at increased risk of developing breast cancer up to six years before diagnosis. The algorithm analyzed mammograms from 116,495 women in Norway who underwent multiple screening rounds between 2004 and 2018.
Researchers found that the mean absolute differences in AI scores between the breasts were significantly higher in women who later developed cancer, with these differences becoming apparent four to six years before detection.
