It's an inverted pentagram. No symbol is inherently evil...but this one comes close to being.
It's basically about inversion, that's why satanists like it. I avoid it like the plague.

LOL, HopSan, you’re a gem. This mix is in many ways quite boring (my friends told me that). Unless you’re driving long distances on Australian roads (as I do), or you’re in the air on a long-haul flight (window seat preferred) across this vast land, this mix is unexciting. But if you relate to either one of those scenarios, I think I nailed it quite perfectly. A deeply introverted mix to be sure (I am INFP after-all).

In comparison to other mixes, I have fallen far. Not unexpected, I guess. Flashback to exactly 8 years ago on Boxing Day 2018:

At the risk of disrupting things, I want to share a song from the jukebox we all sang (drunkenly) at the university bar after our final exam; qualifying ourselves as the “epitome” of biological engineers. The era was 1992. We were the pioneers (that’s what they told us) of the “genetic revolution”.

I went outside. I didn’t ‘gel’ with what we’ve become. I didn’t ‘gel’ with a lot of things our graduate year had absorbed. I didn’t ‘gel’ with anything at all. But I DID ‘gel’ with this song, and I suspect I always will:

As I write this post here in FNQ (Far Northern Queensland), the first of the tropical storms have passed us. We were hit with 900mm of rain in the period from 31-Dec-2025 to 2-Jan-2026. From 2-Jan-2026 to 4-Jan-2026 there has been another 1200mm rain. There’s been some damage (to put it mildly) to our dam, and our pumping station has been completely washed away. Life in the tropics! Damage estimate: AUD$247,000.00. Insurance claim: AUD$0.00.

These kind of issues forces oneself to maintain a steadfast resolve. Fortunately, my stereo (yep those old-skool reel-to-reel audio tapes) hasn’t been touched. It’s an analogue solace and it adds a lot of depth to the recordings; something I will try to emulate with a digital version of what I’m listening to now…
