Grand Theft - Otto Skorzeny & 'The Spider' Network (13:35)
Otto Skorzeny was Hitler's commando extraordinaire - a man who pulled off some of the most daring raids of WWII. His life postwar was equally intriguing, becoming an international arms dealer and military advisor. However, many don't know that he founded a shadowy organisation called 'Die Spinne' or 'The Spider' in 1948 devoted to helping SS men to escape from justice. It was financed by a huge amount of cash that Skorzeny had received at war's due to an SS raid on the Reichsbank in embattled Berlin.
More than fascinating, and many thanks. There's other material about Skorzeny on the forum, including his reported deathbed confession that he killed Nikola Tesla:
And much else, including the dense material researched by Webster Tarpley documented in this long and potentially very important post on the For an idea on the "big" picture thread:

Thanks for the links Bill, and it's indeed a fascinating video and a good overview of Otto Skorzeny's life.

I also found this video about the hunt on SS-Captain Erich Priebke, who commanded the infamous 1944 Ardeatine Caves Massacre in Rome, and escaped justice, going on the run in South America for an astounding 50 years. Especially the last part about his extradition to Italy is very interesting.

Himmler's Fourth Reich - SS Assets Saved in Global Conspiracy (24:28)
In August 1944, as the Battle of Normandy raged, a secret meeting was held in Strasbourg by a cabal of senior SS officers and German industrialists. The meeting was ordered by Heinrich Himmler himself - its purpose - none other than to save German industrial wealth from the Allies and to lay the foundations for a postwar Fourth Reich, with Himmler as its leader.

Operation Eagle Flight: The Escape from Berlin to Bariloche (41:01)
Apart from the bloody goldfish, this latest episode of The Why Files is really worthwhile to watch. Packed with photos and information on the whereabouts of other, hardly ever mentioned 'less important' Nazis, who also escaped to the Argentine Nazi enclave in Patagonia.

Secret Fourth Reich - The Naumann Circle Plot (25:13)
In the early 1950s, a secret Nazi organisation in West Germany attempted to infiltrate political parties to establish some form of Fourth Reich, a successor to the defeated Third Reich. The organisation was called the Naumann Circle, and was the mastermind of the last Propaganda Minister Dr. Werner Naumann, who had escaped from Berlin in 1945 in the same group as Martin Bormann.

Fegelein! Fegelein! The Mysterious Death of Hitler's SS Liaison (1:03:23)
The death of SS General Hermann Fegelein, apparently shot on Hitler's orders on 28 April 1945 during the last days of the Battle of Berlin, seems well known. But in this series, we will learn that the demise of Fegelein is much more complicated and shocking than the history books and movies tell us. Very shocking indeed!

Interviews with the Main Nazi Leaders Before their Sentences | Nuremberg 1946 (1:16:05)
This documentary presents valuable testimonies recorded in 1946, when several high-ranking members of the Nazi regime were interrogated following their arrest and prior to the Nuremberg Trials. In these interviews, the leading figures of the Third Reich sought to defend their decisions, downplay their roles, or distance themselves from the regime’s crimes.

Hermann Göring portrayed himself as a cultured and determined leader, claiming his position as Hitler’s political heir, while denying any involvement in the genocide of the Jews. Despite having initiated the first detention camps and overseen the economic plunder of Jewish communities, he claimed ignorance of the mass killings.

Ernst Kaltenbrunner, head of the Reich Security Main Office, tried to appear as a senior official who lacked key information. However, documents bearing his signature directly linked him to deportations, mass executions, and the suppression of dissent.

Joachim von Ribbentrop, in charge of foreign affairs, claimed he was unaware of the regime’s crimes and shifted the blame to others. Karl Dönitz, who succeeded Hitler, presented himself as a naval technician without political engagement, although he played a crucial role in sustaining the Nazi structure.

The Full Story of Otto Skorzeny (1:13:00)
The full unbelievable true story of Otto Skorzeny, Hitler’s most dangerous commando and one of the most infamous figures of World War II. From leading daring SS special operations like the rescue of Mussolini, to becoming a military advisor for Egypt’s Nasser and Argentina’s Perón, Skorzeny’s postwar life was as shocking as his wartime fame. In a twist stranger than fiction, he was even linked to the Israeli Mossad. This full documentary covers Skorzeny’s entire life, from his rise in the Waffen-SS to his escape routes through postwar Europe, Cold War espionage, and his lasting legacy. If you're fascinated by Nazi history, covert operations, and Cold War intelligence, this is the ultimate deep dive into the life of a man who served Germany, Egypt, Argentina and even Israel.

Hello everyone! Following the line of the original post, there is a quite prominent Nazi official who apparently escaped to Argentina: none other than Adolf Hitler himself. Some of you may find this unlikely or outright nonsensical, although from what I’ve seen, others do believe such a thing might have been possible. But what leads me to believe that Hitler probably fled to my country are the investigations of a journalist from here. And he’s not just any journalist — this man has been researching the subject for almost 30 years and has already written 8 books as a result of those investigations. I’ll now share a summary of the main reasons put forward by Abel Basti (the journalist in question) to assert the unofficial fate of the Führer:

    1. Testimonies from people who allegedly saw Hitler in Argentina

Basti says he bases his hypothesis “on about twenty direct testimonies from people who saw Hitler after the war.”
    Among those he highlights:

    Carmen Torrontegui
Cook at the San Ramón ranch near Bariloche.
According to Basti, she stated that Hitler lived there with Eva Braun shortly after the war and that she served them.
San Ramón appears in his books as one of Hitler’s first refuges in Patagonia (Hitler’s Patagonia, Hitler’s Second Life).

    Edgar Ibargaray
An Argentine living in the U.S.; Basti publishes his account stating that he met with Hitler at the San Ramón ranch in the 1950s.

“Military X” and other anonymous witnesses
In Hitler’s Second Life and In the Footsteps of Hitler, he mentions recorded testimonies from an Argentine soldier who supposedly guarded or saw Hitler in the Bariloche region.

Neighbors and employees of Patagonian ranches
Basti gathers accounts from locals in Bariloche, Villa La Angostura, and Tornquist claiming that in certain ranches (San Ramón, Inalco, Chacayal, Collun-Co, etc.) lived “important Nazi chiefs” and even “Hitler himself.”
Some witnesses describe interior architectural details (two bedrooms connected by a bathroom, view of the lake, etc.) that Basti compares to the layout of Hitler and Eva Braun’s apartment in the Berlin bunker.

    Alias “Kurt Bruno Kirchner”
In press notes and forums, one of his claims is summarized as: during Perón’s early governments, Hitler lived at the San Ramón ranch under the pseudonym “Kurt Bruno Kirchner.”

Taken together, Basti uses these testimonies to outline a chronology: arrival on the Patagonian coast, transfer to San Ramón, movement among other ranches in the area, and a relatively quiet life in Patagonia for decades.

    2. Testimonies and accounts outside Argentina

In later books he expands the map:

    Colombia (Tunja)
In Hitler in Colombia and later in The Photos of Hitler After the War, Basti claims that Hitler spent several months in a hotel in Tunja (Residencias Coloniales).
He relies on a CIA file containing a 1954 photograph of an elderly man identified by the informant as Hitler; the CIA archived the image without giving it conclusive value. Basti asserts that modern forensic analyses confirm it is an aged Hitler.

    Chile, Paraguay, and other countries
Basti mentions additional accounts of Hitler’s travels or stays in Chile and Paraguay, relying on interviews with alleged witnesses and on the movements of former Nazi officials throughout the region.

    3. Declassified FBI and CIA documents

Another block he considers key comes from intelligence archives:

    “Package of 731 FBI documents”
Basti and other authors cite a set of hundreds of declassified FBI documents containing reports of alleged Hitler sightings in South America (Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, etc.).
They are letters from informants, internal cables, and reports where local agents investigated rumors that Hitler had arrived by submarine or been seen in hotels or ranches. The FBI investigated and filed the reports but never confirmed anything.

FBI report on the Hotel Edén (La Falda, Córdoba)
Basti highlights a memo from September 1945 that, according to him, describes preparations at Hotel Edén to receive Hitler, based on information from the hotel’s gardener, who worked for U.S. intelligence.

CIA files on the Tunja photo
The CIA papers containing the 1954 Tunja photograph appear in Hitler in Colombia and The Photos of Hitler After the War. The document attributes the information to an informant named Philip Citroën (or a variant), who claimed to have been photographed with Hitler.
Basti interprets this set of reports as evidence that Western agencies were never fully certain of Hitler’s death and took the escape hypothesis seriously.

    4. German submarines and the logistics of the escape

Another pillar of his reconstruction involves the U-boats:

U-530 and U-977 in Mar del Plata
It is a historical fact that submarines U-530 and U-977 surrendered in Mar del Plata in July and August 1945 after long voyages.
Basti takes previous studies (such as Hitler’s Escape by Patrick Burnside) and incorporates them, suggesting that these or other U-boats may have disembarked “very special” passengers in Patagonia before surrendering.

Sightings of submarines on the Argentine coast
He cites Argentine Navy documents that record numerous reports of unidentified submarines off the Patagonian coast between May and August 1945, kept secret for decades.

Material remains: shipwrecks and boats in Patagonia
Basti has participated in or cited investigations using magnetometers in the Caleta de los Loros area (Río Negro), where a large metallic mass was detected that he suggests could be a sunken U-boat.
More recently, he found old boats on the shores of Camarones (Chubut) that he proposes may have been auxiliary landing craft used in Nazi disembarkations.

Basti uses all this as a logistical framework to argue that Hitler could have reached an isolated Patagonian beach by submarine and then been transported to the Bariloche area.

    5. Nazi refuge networks, ranches, and properties

In Nazi Bariloche, Hitler in Argentina, and Hitler’s Second Life, Basti devotes considerable space to:

Mapping ranches and hotels linked to Nazis
San Ramón, Inalco (in Villa La Angostura, on Lake Nahuel Huapi), Chacayal, Collun-Co, among other properties owned by Germans or sympathizers.
He connects these properties to reports from Argentina’s Special Commission for Investigating Anti-Argentine Activities, where the surnames of Nazis or collaborators appear, along with suspicions of clandestine activity.

    Political connections and protection networks
He posits an agreement among Nazi leaders, sectors of U.S. intelligence, and Perón’s government to facilitate the escape and residence of Hitler and other war criminals in Argentina. This idea is often summarized in editorial descriptions: Basti is presented as the “biographer of Hitler in exile” who documents this plan.
The argument here is that there was a real infrastructure (ratlines, ranches, contacts in the armed forces and government) that made it plausible for a high-profile figure to hide.

    6. Photographs attributed to Hitler after 1945

In his penultimate book, The Photos of Hitler After the War (2023), attempts to provide what he previously lacked: images.
According to summaries of the book:

It includes several photos from family archives and intelligence documents (including the Tunja photo), showing an older man whom Basti identifies as Hitler.

He claims that facial recognition experts compared these photos with images of Hitler from before 1945 and concluded that they could indeed be the same person, considering age progression.

Here I’m sharing the declassified FBI photo where Hitler is seen visiting Colombia in 1954.

As a curiosity, to finish, I’m sharing some images from a book by Miguel Serrano. This man created an entire cosmological narrative around Hitler, considering him an incarnation of divinity (an avatar). Which, obviously, I find crazy. But I will also clarify that, personally, Adolf Hitler does not seem to me to be the worst “villain” in history. There have been other military leaders who, through their campaigns or their madness, caused millions of people to be killed and almost wiped out entire peoples or ethnic groups. Some of them: Stalin, Mao Zedong, Genghis Khan, Timur, Leopold II of Belgium, Cortés/Pizarro, etc.

The Death of Himmler - AI Investigation Bombshell (XMAS SPECIAL) (22:26)
In his search to find out the truth of Heinrich Himmler's death, Mark Felton recently stumbled on some rather extraordinary new evidence that, if true, throws the official British story into serious doubt. For the first time, AI will be used to assess the photographic evidence to help us understand who died in British captivity on 23 May 1945 - was it Himmler or an imposter? It promises some startling results!

Find the Führer - The Secret Soviet Investigation (COMPLETE SERIES) (1:57:13)
The fate of Hitler is one of the most infamous subjects in history - but the investigation of the nation that was best placed to find out, the USSR, is often ignored or dismissed in the West. This series examines what the Soviets found, both at the bunker and Reich Chancellery, and also the medical examination of the purported bodies of Hitler and Eva Braun. Kept secret until 1968, the Soviet files reveal many strange anomalies that challenge the established story of the ultimate fates of Hitler and his wife.
