    Default Turmoil in Somalia

    Suppressed News.

U.S President Trump spent weeks ramping up propaganda against Somalia and trashing them on media.

Israel today announced officially recognizing Somaliland.

This is not a coincidence, they are operating hand in hand to further Israel’s interests.

Northwestern Somalia “Somaliland” is an inseparable part of Somalia. It is, and it always will be. No amount of foreign meddling, Zionist backroom deals, or manufactured narratives will change that reality.

The coordinated efforts by Israel and their regional enforcers like the UAE to carve up Somalia—along with Yemen, Libya, and Sudan—will fail, just as they always do. These schemes are built on arrogance and exploitation, not legitimacy.

The people of these nations are not weak, not passive, and not for sale. They have endured war, sanctions, and interference—and they still stand. They have the courage and the will to defend their land, their sovereignty, and their future against these predatory alliances.

Fact: just open Google Maps and type in ‘Somalia.’ You’ll see one Somalia, period. Not the fantasy maps the secessionists and their Israeli/UAE sponsors keep pushing.

    🇮🇱🇸🇴 ABRAHAM ACCORD EXPANSION?

Israel has officially recognized Somaliland as an independent sovereign state, becoming the first country in the world to do so.

➡️ Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu formalized the move in a joint declaration with Somaliland’s leadership, explicitly framing it in the “spirit of the Abraham Accords.”

➡️ Netanyahu congratulated President Abdirahman Mohamed Abdillahi, invited him to visit Israel, and announced plans to expand cooperation in agriculture, health, technology, and economic development, citing regional security and stability.

Somaliland sits at a critical chokepoint near the Red Sea and Bab el-Mandeb, one of the most strategically important maritime corridors in the world. Formal recognition gives Israel a foothold in the Horn of Africa outside traditional diplomatic channels.

This recognition helps explain the recent surge of hostile rhetoric toward Somalia in U.S. political discourse. Somaliland recognition weakens Mogadishu’s territorial claims and aligns with a broader effort to extend the Abraham Accords beyond the Middle East and into Africa.

    Suppressed News.

You want control over Bab al mandab, control over resources for weapons manufacturing and you want to further destabilize the region by enforcing a recognition of a “country” that is not even internationally recognized just because it will further your own interest.

Also Somaliland has untapped natural resources (minerals, oil, gas, energy) and major trade potential, which could attract Israeli companies with advanced tech and industrial sectors and since Israel announced a shift towards independence when it comes to arms production then this move isn’t a surprise.

An Israeli think-tank (Institute for National Security Studies) has highlighted that Somaliland’s geography could help Israel in tracking, monitoring, or even staging operations against Yemen-based Houthi.

So Israel’s move isn’t a surprise, it’s a step towards further colonization, destabilization and hijack of resources in the region.

Türkiye says Israel’s recognition of Somalia's breakaway region of Somaliland 'unlawful'

Israel’s move 'constitutes new example of Netanyahu government’s unlawful actions aimed at creating instability at both regional, global levels,' says Foreign Ministry spokesman

    Serdar Dincel

    26.12.2025 - Update : 26.12.2025

    ISTANBUL

Türkiye said on Friday that Israel’s recognition of Somalia's breakaway region of Somaliland as an independent state is "unlawful."

Israel’s move "constitutes a new example of the Netanyahu government’s unlawful actions aimed at creating instability at both regional and global levels," said Turkish Foreign Ministry spokesperson Oncu Keceli on US social media company X.

"This step by Israel, which continues its expansionist policies and spares no effort to prevent the recognition of the State of Palestine, constitutes an open interference in Somalia’s internal affairs," Keceli said.

Decisions regarding the future of Somalia and the Somaliland region must be taken in a manner that reflects the will of all Somalis, he underscored.

Türkiye attaches great importance to peace and security in the Horn of Africa and firmly supports Somalia’s territorial integrity, Keceli stressed, adding that Ankara will continue to stand by the Somali people.

Earlier today, Israel recognized Somalia’s breakaway region of Somaliland as an independent sovereign state.

Somaliland, which has lacked official recognition since declaring independence from Somalia in 1991, operates as a de facto independent administrative, political, and security entity, with the central government unable to assert control over the region, and its leadership unable to secure international recognition of independence.

The Somali government refuses to recognize Somaliland as an independent state, considers it an integral part of its territory, and views any direct deals or engagement with it as a violation of Somalia’s sovereignty and unity.

ISRAEL RECOGNIZES SOMALILAND TO EXPAND REGIONAL DOMINANCE

This was not a diplomatic gesture.
It was a calculated move to gain leverage without firing a shot.

📝 Earlier this year, Channel 12 reported Israel was in talks with Somaliland and four other countries about resettling Palestinians from Gaza, with Somaliland named as particularly open while seeking international recognition. Recognition now creates the legal and political pathway for that displacement.

🌊 Somaliland sits on the Gulf of Aden, directly beside the Bab el Mandeb chokepoint linking the Red Sea to the Indian Ocean. Nearly all Red Sea shipping flows through this corridor. When Houthi attacks from Yemen escalated, Israeli-linked vessels were forced to reroute around Africa. The vulnerability was exposed.

📡 Recognition clears the way for security agreements, intelligence cooperation, and long-term military access near Berbera. A foothold here allows constant monitoring of Red Sea shipping, missile and drone activity tied to Yemen, and early warning far south of Israel’s own borders.

🇾🇪🇮🇷 From Bab el Mandeb, Israel gains closer reach to Houthi forces in Yemen and Iran’s Red Sea supply lines, without having to project everything from Israeli territory.

🇺🇸🇩🇯 The same access benefits Washington. It reduces dependence on Djibouti, where China already operates a military base, and places U.S. and allied forces closer to the source of instability in the Red Sea.

🇪🇬🇹🇷🇩🇯🇸🇴 The backlash was immediate. Egypt, Turkey, Djibouti, and Somalia condemned the move, calling it a violation of Somalia’s sovereignty. The reaction confirms what this really is. A Red Sea power grab disguised as recognition.

🌍 Somaliland has sought recognition for over 30 years. Strategic access is the price. Israel is the first to pay, and in return, it just got access and control of the Red Sea gateway.

So: Trump bombed the hell out of Somalia out of public view for a year, paving the way for imperial Israel to move to breaking it up with an eye to expelling Palestinians to a breakaway section.

And when his attacks got a bit of coverage, Trump tried to reframe it as an immigration issue to pretend to be “America First”. #InterestingTiming

    Quds News Network

Israel built an advanced military facility at Berbera Airport in Somaliland, including twelve underground hangars for fighter jets and drones.

Berbera Airport, located on the Gulf of Aden, has one of the longest runways in Africa, originally built during the Soviet era.

The United Arab Emirates maintained a strong military presence at the airport since 2017. They developed the airport and the adjacent port through DP World and established a base used for operations in Yemen and for monitoring maritime routes.

Israel became the first entity to officially recognize the self-declared Republic of Somaliland as an independent state.

Arab and Muslim countries, including Egypt, Somalia, and Turkey, rejected the recognition, warning that it threatened international peace and security.
