Venezuela and the January Full Moon

Following the tragic event in a Swiss bar on New Year's Eve, farmers remain angry with Mercosur. Donald Trump chose the day of the Full Moon to kidnap Nicolás Maduro and his wife Cilia Flores in Venezuela.

Venezuela's independence, declared on July 5, 1811, occurred under a Full Moon (Sun in Cancer, just like the US Independence) with the Moon in Capricorn. In its progressed cycle, the Moon is now in its Last Quarter. The Moon's position in the chart of independence is framed by retrograde Saturn, itself conjunct retrograde Neptune and retrograde Pluto, suggesting a quest for an ideal, or perhaps one whose attainment is hampered by insecurity.

It can be said that the "January Full Moon" activated the "Full Moon of Venezuelan Independence", therefore a strategic Full Moon in case of an incursion into the country. A double Full Moon reactivates the "Black Sun" in Cancer, affecting both Venezuela and the USA (the two Suns in Cancer are separated by 1° in close conjunction with the Black Sun, all energized by the Moon, ruler of the sign (homeland, protection of the people and their security, etc.)).

The conflict between Venezuela and the USA is not new; it is believed to have begun in 2001, with the Black Sun's influence intensifying in the 20th century.

The US independence of July 4, 1776, with the Moon in Aquarius in conjunction with Pluto and Uranus, represents a nation facing constant insecurity. In its progressed cycle, a new cycle began in the spring of 2024, coinciding with the US aggression. The progressed Moon in Aries is conjunct Chiron in exact opposition to retrograde Mars.

A dangerous and risky opposition for the USA; could this be a case of the biter bit? The progressed Sun is still in opposition to Neptune (exact opposition in 2030). Could this mean the USA has played its last card? Is it the effect of the January Full Moon that triggered Trump's midlife crisis? Especially since Trump was born during a total lunar eclipse, so Full Moon nights are clearly second nature to him!

In the progressed cycle of "Nicolas Maduro," whether he knew it or not—or perhaps he expected a turning point sooner or later—we find a progressed opposition between the Moon and retrograde Mars, though not as exact as the one in the progressed cycle of the USA. This indicates a phase of extreme tension, especially since the progressed Moon is accompanied by Saturn (its partner for a man). I should point out that since 2022, Mars, in its retrograde progression, has returned to its initial position at his birth. This can be seen as karmic retribution returning to haunt him. The New Conjunction of Mars and Venus on January 8th at 18° Capricorn occurs in conjunction with the 2nd house, representing national possessions (not unrelated to Venezuela's oil holdings). As you might have guessed, Nicolás Maduro, with his progressed opposition from the Moon and Mars, has found himself in the crosshairs of the USA, which has the same opposition in its progressed cycle, in a position of aggression!

In 2026, this summer, Venezuela enters its Last Quarter, especially since the Moon will be conjunct Uranus, itself in conjunction with Mars at the time of independence. We can assume that the struggle is taking on a new form…
In 2027, the transiting South Node in conjunction with progressed retrograde Mars in Leo presents a difficult position for escaping karmic retribution. The only recourse is the trine from progressed Venus in Sagittarius (foreigners). Could help come from neighboring countries? …in the natal chart, retrograde Venus is conjunct Neptune and waxing square retrograde Mars.
