Keeping with the food theme, here is a rave review of an entirely different kind of Chinese Food.

It’s a light and simple (no reason to heat, except if to melt snow) meal for PLA grunts, for the the starting (“3”) days of an operation or other warring activity.

Steve loved everything except the pork jerky, says it rates at the top of MREs he’s tried (“Meals Ready to Eat”, pretty much defined as a military thing, his channel subject).

I can and do take sides about military conflicts, but I hope for the best for the grunts on either side. Good food is from Heaven, it makes us feel good.

Quote This is one of the more advanced rations from China. Used for the first 3 days of combat before self-heating meals and then field kitchen food is established, this is almost like a Chinese CCAR or FSR, but much more compact. It features food that is enriched with nutritional supplementation that makes this ration effective in the environment that it's used in, which is high altitude cold climates where there's less oxygen and higher strain on the body during heavy exertion.

"Step off the beaten path and dive into the real mountain life of China — far beyond the tourist trails.

In this 4K cinematic journey, we uncover unknown mountain villages, untouched landscapes, and the authentic rhythms of daily life that few outsiders ever see.

From misty peaks in Sichuan to remote Tibetan settlements, this film captures the beauty, mystery, and soul of China’s highlands like never before.

Some places are not abandoned — they are sealed. Not to protect what is inside, but to protect the world from knowing what was done there.

Every layer hides another decision that was never meant to be questioned. Power, fear, loyalty, and silence were all built into the same structure. And once you start seeing the patterns, you realize history did not forget this place… it simply chose not to speak about it.

The deeper the evidence goes, the harder it becomes to separate honor from cruelty. What looks like glory on the surface begins to feel like something far more deliberate underneath.

This is not a story about the past.
It is a reminder of what humans are capable of when no one is allowed to remember.
"Is there an idea more radical in the history of the human race than turning your children over to total strangers whom you know nothing about, and having those strangers work on your child's mind, out of your sight, for a period of twelve years?" John Taylor Gatto
