Jeffrey Epstein & Ghislaine Maxwell: the whole story so far

The most intriguing aspect of the Epstein files (in my estimation) is the vast network of global elites mentioned in the files. There are politicians, academics, royalty, tech billionaires and business titans that have been mentioned multiple times in the files. Trump has been named over 38,000 times, and Vladimir Putin has been named over 1000 times, but we must resign ourselves to the fact that only two people have ever been convicted, Epstein and Maxwell.

Biden and his Department of Justice had complete access to the files for four full years. If they had had evidence that would have destroyed or even damaged Trump, they would have released that information. Epstein hated Trump; that is not an indictment of Trump, that is an acquittal. Also, keep in mind that most of the sensational evidence about Trump was called in by the general public during the 2020 presidential election campaign. Trump haters had a free pass to say anything they pleased about Trump, and it would be recorded in the files, possibly gotten into the news cycle (some sensational but fake info made it), and they had no worries about legal repercussions.

I feel confident after Biden discovered that there was no daming evidence in the files to crucify Trump. Biden and his minions then went about removing all the evidence that would have convicted Democrat donors and politicians. It was an impossibility to remove information that would harm their good name (there was too much of it), but it was possible to destroy actual evidence. Remember that Epstein was a Democrat and a serious Democrat donor, and while he successfully corrupted some Republicans, the vast majority of the damage he wreaked was on Democrats.

Some people had to be sacrificed to pretend that an effort was being made.

While the files contain thousands of names of powerful figures, mere mention does not imply criminal conduct, and most individuals have denied any wrongdoing. If it weren't for the Trump haters hoping for one small slice of evidence to convict him, these files would have been relegated to the dustbin of history. Trump certainly has his faults, but I think it is safe to say that he is not a child molester or child abuser.

Depending on how long this affair drags on, there may be another sacrifice or two and maybe even a conviction or two (that's doubtful), but chasing and hoping for a conviction of Trump is not time well spent.

I have such a low opinion of Trump that I would be the last one to defend him as a stance.

* The lurid 'evidence' against Trump is in the form of testimony (deposition), which was not tested in court. If I am wrong about this, I stand to be corrected.
* At the time that Trump was hanging out with Epstein, he was often photographed surrounded by young women fans. I think he was also an organizer for some beauty contest. It is disturbing that well into the century, young women were still excited by the display of wealth and thought that being decorative amusement for men was advisable, but that indeed was still the culture at the time.
* Trump cannot be relied on to tell the whole and absolute truth all the time. From email exchanges we know that Trump was concerned about Epstein exploiting young female staff at his club and he communicated this to Maxwell rather than directly to Epstein (who was very annoyed that Trump said 'no'). According to Wolff, the actual falling out occurred because Epstein took Trump to see a property he wanted to buy in Florida, and Trump sneakily bought the property for himself. Who knows which is true? However, Epstein was so very connected that Trump probably thought he could not win the presidency without patching things up with him (and blaming it all on Maxwell, although Trump probably did pick up that she is evil). Trump will reconcile with people he has had a major bust up with, if it serves his interest. That Epstein was still accepted in New York society, despite Trump not talking to him for years, led a lot of people to open the door to Epstein (you think it may be wrong, but so and so is friends with him, and ...), and since Israel was always a major supporter of a Trump presidency, the Zionists would have wanted Trump to bring Epstein into the fold.

I think most of the mess around the Epstein files is because of incompetency. The people in charge are not the sort of person you want running your business. Thus, a lot of the redactions, and many of the contradictions coming from the government are because of incompetence.

Lastly, if anyone thought that the billionaire class and political supporters of Trump would be held accountable for anything they may have done, or even that anyone would have their property raided ... not in America and certainly not in a state hearing towards fascism. Law enforcement is a tool, and not to support and uphold justice. Trump genuinely does want everyone to move on and focus on how fabulous and amazing he is. The Epstein files are a distraction, to him. 'Illegal aliens', Canada, Iran etc. are the enemy, not paedophiles among the wealthy and political elite.

While Breaking Points is usually a good news source, they didn't really get what the provenance of this document is - I know it was just discovered in the last few days, but how, where and by whom I still don't know.

The wording here, which was written the day before Epstein allegedly died allegedly by suicide, is almost word for word the same as the official government news release of Epstein's "death" except that the words "by apparent suicide" were added.
