Was aiming to post this story on the Parenting thread, but that never got out of BAD Parenting mode. Hervé tried in the last post (#89), but then it got shut down.

So to reopen the topic of parenting, and to make sure that good parenting is represented, I put “good” in the title. But discussion of examples of bad parenting are welcome, since we can learn lots from that.
