Israel Kills 570 People In Lebanon Over Eight Days -today

Zionist attacks has displaced 759,000 Lebanese so far.

On Tuesday, Lebanon’s Disaster Risk Management Unit confirmed that Israeli occupation forces have killed 570 people in Lebanon over the past eight days.

The Israeli bombardments have also wounded 1,444 people and displaced 759,300, with 122,600 of those staying in 580 schools converted into official shelters.

In the past 24 hours, Lebanese authorities recorded 84 new deaths and 131 injuries in various parts of the country.

Since March 2, Israel has maintained an intense bombing campaign in the southern suburbs of Beirut and against targets in southern and eastern Lebanon.

In response to the Israeli offensive, the Lebanese Shiite group Hezbollah has continued to launch some limited-impact attacks against northern Israel.

The new wave of violence began 15 months after Lebanon and Israel reached a cease-fire agreement to end a previous conflict that left more than 4,000 dead in Lebanon between 2023 and 2024.

Since then, however, Israel has shown no interest in respecting the agreements, Lebanese officials said.

Since the early hours of Monday, March 9th, the Israeli air force has carried out a barrage of over 10 attacks on the southern suburb of Beirut in Lebanon. The bombardments hit key neighborhoods including Santa Teresa, Al Ghobeiri, Haret Hreik and Al Sfeir.

White Phosphorus Munitions Used

Adding a grave dimension to the already dire situation, Human Rights Watch (HRW) has formally denounced Israel’s use of white phosphorus munitions in its attacks on southern Lebanon.

The organization verified seven images depicting the aerial detonation of these dangerous munitions over the town of Yahmor on March 3. HRW emphasized that employing white phosphorus in residential areas raises profound concerns and carries severe consequences for the civilian population.
