The Government’s UAP Disclosure Catch-22

For decades, the possibility of secret crash retrieval and reverse engineering programs involving nonhuman intelligence-derived technologies has lingered within the American body politic.

With more and more whistleblowers coming forward to provide testimony about UAP (such as the recent revelation of an alleged Unacknowledged Special Access Program codenamed Immaculate Constellation), increasing public interest in the topic, and some elected officials starting to ask tough questions, the prospect of full disclosure appears to loom larger now. If UAP programs exist, bringing them to light would undoubtedly be one of the most transformative revelations in human history. However, the prospect of doing so creates a catch-22 for our government: disclosing the truth would fulfill the natural and legal mandate for transparency, but it could also trigger a constitutional crisis given that these programs have (allegedly) been hidden by certain Executive Branch agencies from Congress for so long. Our government officials — or some of them, at least — are confronted by a game of “Kobayashi Maru,” an apparent no-win scenario that tests character: either allow transparency, along with whatever constitutional crisis and/or legal action that might ensue, or keep playing the deception game in the interest of maintaining calm and allowing the stock market to increase.

To make sure we understand the stakes: the principle of transparency demands immediate answers. Who authorized these programs? How much taxpayer money has been funnelled into them? Were civil or criminal laws broken in the process of keeping them hidden? The consequences could involve high-profile investigations and prosecutions, with far-reaching implications for those involved, including government contractors and private industry.

On the other side of the equation, what say we of the threat of undermining public trust in our institutions by revealing the truth about UAP? There’s no room for equivocating here: we should rip off the bandaid and embrace whatever comes. This is true in part because the longer the deception continues, the deeper the wound gets, such that when inevitably things do come to light the damage will be worse than it would be now. But most important is the principle: the public doesn’t need to be protected against the truth. It never does. If political institutions have erred, then there should be temporary loss of faith in them — as this loss of faith will ultimately allow for the renewal of that same faith. Indeed, government disclosure would go a long way in restoring public trust, which is at or near historical lows: Americans’ faith in Congress (8%), the Presidency (26%), and the Supreme Court (27%).

UAP Disclosure Event Following House Oversight Hearing Announced by MUFON and New Paradigm Institute

The post-hearing event on Capitol Hill will bring together disclosure advocacy groups and activists in the interest of full government transparency on UAP.

The UAP disclosure event will provide media representatives and the public an invaluable opportunity to hear directly from representatives of MUFON and NPI, two of the most influential civilian organizations committed to advancing UAP disclosure and the need to provide continued support for Congressional disclosure efforts. Not to be outdone by the House of Representatives on the 13th November, the Senate will conduct a landmark UAP hearing today Tuesday, November 19, 2024. Hosted by the Senate Committee on Armed Services’ Subcommittee on Emerging Threats and Capabilities, the session will be chaired by Senator Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY), a leading advocate for UAP transparency.

These provocations on the part of Biden and Putin harken back to the Cuban missile crisis stand-off with Kennedy and Khrushchev. The irony is absolutely frightening.

The world was held captive for 14 days in Oct of 1962 until its “resolution”. Given the volatile nature of international tensions as we speak, this new set of circumstances surely does little to lessen this volatility.

There are ancillary effects. I fear this series of events could lessen the focus, impact and effectiveness of last week’s UAP Hearing and Gillibrand’s “discussion” with new head of AARO Jon Kosloski today and quite possibly disrupt future disclosure activity internationally.

Exclusive: Irish UFO-UAP records withheld under 'information that may be detrimental to security of Irish State'

A Freedom of Information request regarding Irish UAP records was partially refused due to possible adverse effects to the security of the Irish State.

The FOI was sent to former Irish Chief of Defence, Vice Admiral Mark Mallett, in November 2021 by researcher Chris Gaffney, spokesperson for the International Coalition for Extraterrestrial Research, a (ICER) group comprised of academics and scientists.


Mr Gaffney requested all access to any UAP records held by Óglaigh na hEireann, the Irish Defence Forces. This information was granted in part but also refused under Section 33(1)A of the FOI Act 2014.

Disclosure may happen supported by a wide range of evidence by the efforts of citizens and scientific evidence, not international governments and military operations.

Bringing the scientific evidence of UAP research could well be the tipping point for mainstream to acknowledge the unambiguous nature of UAP are techno signatures and the NHI behind monitoring the Earth.

A recent paper presented at the American Geophysical Union (AGU) conference in Washington DC has come to the conclusion that the Earth has been monitored by techno signatures around the Earth.

Careful analysis of 80,000 UFO sighting reports led Dr. Eamonn Ansbro to one inescapable conclusion: the Earth is under controlled surveillance by UAP.

He presents the results of his recent UAP Techno signature analysis, and discusses UAP orbital tracks along with the hypothesis that Earth is under controlled, autonomous surveillance by UAPs.

At this juncture at the beginning of 2026 we can review the status of UAP Disclosure. Its been 8 years now since the announcement by the Pentagon that (UFOs) UAP are real. We still have a psychological perception problem within society. However, recent times does show a cultural transformation created by a multiplying affect of Congress hearings, UAP discussions within MSM, academic institutions funded research, documentaries and movies that in time may tip the balance to disclosure. Although this has started in the United States it has spread widely to many other countries.

Why Is No One Talking About the Aliens?
Psychology Today may answer this question
What psychology reveals about our resistance to uncomforntable truths.

Key points:

• When new information threatens identity and meaning, the mind often responds by tuning out.
• Cognitive overload and uncertainty make large, unresolved ideas easy to ignore.
• Fear of stigma quietly discourages people from engaging with controversial topics.

Something very significant has been happening in plain sight, and almost no one seems to be noticing.

Over the past few years, there have been televised congressional hearings, repeated news segments across major networks, and a recent release of a mind blowing documentary called The Age of Disclosure that brings much of this information together, featuring on-the-record disclosures and sworn testimony from dozens of current and former high-level U.S. government, military, and intelligence officials describing secret classified government programs tasked with investigating unidentified anomalous phenomena (UAPs). These officials describe large numbers of sightings of unexplained aircraft, recovered crash materials they say are not consistent with known human technology, and the remains of non-human biologics. All of this points to the same unsettling idea: Mankind is not alone in the universe.

If this were any other topic with implications this big, it would dominate conversations. It would be debated at dinner tables, and dissected and argued about endlessly by pundits and influencers online.

Instead, people seem to be oddly quiet about it altogether.

For many people, even if they hear it, the information barely seems to register, while others just reject it or don’t engage at all. From a psychological standpoint, the collective lack of interest is almost more interesting than the claims themselves.

The question is, why is what is possibly mankind’s greatest discovery barely on most people’s radar?

When New Information Conflicts With Identity:

Human beings don’t encounter information in a neutral way. We give it personal meaning as we absorb it through an existing cognitive lens made up of our self-identity and worldview.

Ideas that challenge basic foundational assumptions, such as the uniqueness of mankind, the limits of technology, or the transparency of institutions, aren’t simply new facts. They destabilize the mental frameworks that help people feel oriented and safe.

This creates what is referred to as cognitive dissonance, the uncomfortable psychological tension that arises when new information conflicts with deeply held beliefs. When dissonance becomes too intense, the mind often resolves it not by updating old beliefs but by disengaging from the information altogether.

Ignoring the topic, in this regard, is a way people regulate their emotions.

The Brain Has Limited Bandwidth:

Another contributing factor that is easier to understand: cognitive overload.

We are living in a constant state of mental saturation—political conflict, climate anxiety, rapid technological change, worries over the cost of living. Our brains are already working overtime to process threats, complex scenarios, and novel circumstances.

When new, emotionally charged information feels abstract and lacks clear instructions for action, it often gets deprioritized. From a neurological standpoint, the brain is biased toward what feels immediately relevant and solvable.

Existential questions, especially ones without obvious personal consequences, are easy to postpone indefinitely.

The Power of Social Stigma:

Another force at play is stigma.

For decades, curiosity about UFOs or non-human intelligence was considered culturally as unserious or fringe. Even as the conversation has shifted into formal government settings, those associations still linger.

Many people may privately feel curious while simultaneously thinking, I don’t want to sound foolish, gullible, or extreme.

Psychologists refer to this as normative social influence—the tendency to align beliefs and behaviors with what feels socially acceptable. Normative social influence was well demonstrated in Solomon Asch’s famous line experiments, where people intentionally gave wrong answers to fit in.

Until the idea of non-human intelligence and spacecraft becomes more widely discussed, silence is a way to protect one’s reputation and social belonging, regardless of what people believe privately.

Ambiguity Creates Anxiety:

There’s also the problem of uncertainty.

The information being disclosed doesn’t come with neat conclusions. It raises profound questions without resolving them. For many, ambiguity can be very uncomfortable.

The mind prefers coherent narratives, even flawed ones, over unresolved complexity. When answers are incomplete, people often default to avoidance rather than sustained engagement.

In other words, it’s not just what is being suggested that’s hard to face. It’s the lack of closure about what to do with it.

The Existential Weight Beneath the Surface:

Finally, there is the emotional gravity of the idea itself.

If humanity is not alone, it challenges long-held assumptions about our meaning, what control and power we have, and our identity as the dominant species. These questions touch religion, mortality, and humanity’s place in the universe.

For many people, that level of existential disruption is simply too much to integrate all at once. Avoidance can be a form of self-protection.

Silence Doesn’t Mean Apathy:

What looks like indifference may actually reflect a complex psychological response:

1. Cognitive dissonance
2. Cognitive overload
3. Fear of social stigma
4. Intolerance of ambiguity
5. Existential self-protection

History suggests that paradigm-shifting ideas are rarely absorbed in real time. They are resisted, minimized, and slowly normalized only after the psyche has had time to adapt.

Whether current disclosures ultimately withstand scrutiny or not, the public’s muted response reveals something about human nature:

We often resist new ideas, not because we don’t understand them, but because change can be emotionally difficult.

We have some very astute, well informed people among our community, I appreciate these folks: I am seeing a lot of Paulina Luna/Tim Burchett/ & other Congress Oversight members who are doing a really excellent job in prizing open this knurly Oyster of stubborn refusal to disclose what is genuinely known within the more esoteric/rarefied circles of the Intelligence & Aero-space communities, I know many of us are following this with massive support, what do we think about this "demons" inter-dimensional assertion? The craft in question appear to be tangible technologies, not ethereal immaterial stuff, there appear to be actual beings operating in our realm, so they cannot be the 'legions from Hell', do you not think? Is this the result of the Bible-Belt faction, the Christian fundamentalists such as J.d Vance (a solid son from Appalachia) imposing their faith-driven interpretations on the matter, is this, if you will forgive me, just a failure to understand the complexity of these entities, or do you honestly think the UAP visitors are truly not from other planets/star systems? We have some very astute, well informed people among our community, I appreciate these folks: I am seeing a lot of Paulina Luna/Tim Burchett/ & other Congress Oversight members who are doing a really excellent job in prizing open this knurly Oyster of stubborn refusal to disclose what is genuinely known within the more esoteric/rarefied circles of the Intelligence & Aero-space communities, I know many of us are following this with massive support, what do we think about this "demons" inter-dimensional assertion? The craft in question appear to be tangible technologies, not ethereal immaterial stuff, there appear to be actual beings operating in our realm, so they cannot be the 'legions from Hell', do you not think? Is this the result of the Bible-Belt faction, the Christian fundamentalists such as J.d Vance (a solid son from Appalachia) imposing their faith-driven interpretations on the matter, is this, if you will forgive me, just a failure to understand the complexity of these entities, or do you honestly think the UAP visitors are truly not from other planets/star systems? I am curious to know what some of you think about this, as I am a little perplexed - I think this is a multi-being enterprise, some are truly 'Aliens' perhaps some are something else entirely. Thoughts anyone?

Why can’t both things be true? I agree with you.

The “demon” attribute is a real question, about possible harm from some ~Others, but I think that that harm is not on the level of evilness that we associate with “demons”. We have some bad people on Earth, but last I heard no one that bad can incarnate here.

Besides that, I have read of interdimensional travel to Earth, in a vehicle, of folks who they and their planet home are “part-material”. Said their star shines through their planet, said they’re on the 5th level of consciousness of 7, below Heaven, Patience. Our throat area chakra. They affirmed the goals and way that our Jesus taught, the Christ incarnate on our little planet, a billion minutes ago.
