O my daughter! Would that the believers in the holy Catholic faith opened their hardened and stony hearts in order to attain to a true understanding of the sacred and mysterious blessing of the holy Eucharist! If they would only detach themselves, root out and reject their earthly inclinations, and, restraining their passions, apply themselves with living faith to study by the divine light their great happiness in thus possessing their eternal God in the holy Sacrament and in being able, by its reception and constant intercourse, to participate in the full effects of this heavenly manna! If they would only worthily esteem this precious gift, begin to taste its sweetness, and share in the hidden power of their omnipotent God! Then nothing would ever be wanting to them in their exile. In this, the happy age of the law of grace, mortals have no reason to complain of their weakness and their passions; since in this bread of heaven they have at hand strength and health. It matters not that they are tempted and persecuted by the demon; for by receiving this Sacrament frequently they are enabled to overcome him gloriously. The faithful are themselves to blame for all their poverty and labors, since they pay no attention to this divine mystery, nor avail themselves of the divine powers, thus placed at their disposal by my most holy Son. I tell thee truly, my dearest, that Lucifer and his demons have such a fear of the most holy Eucharist, that to approach it, causes them more torments than to remain in hell itself. Although they do enter churches in order to tempt souls, they enter them with aversion, forcing themselves to endure cruel pains in the hope of destroying a soul and drawing it into sin, especially in the holy places and in the presence of the holy Eucharist. Their wrath against the Lord and against the souls alone could induce them to expose themselves to the torment of his real sacramental presence.

Whenever He is carried through the streets they usually fly and disperse in all haste; and they would not dare to approach those that accompany Him, if by their long experience they did not know, that they will induce some to forget the reverence due to their Lord. Therefore they make special efforts to tempt the faithful in the churches; for they know what great injury they can thereby do to the Lord himself, who in his sacramental love is there waiting to sanctify men and to receive the return of his sweetest and untiring love. Hence thou canst also understand the strength of those who prepare themselves to partake of this bread of the angels and how the demons fear the souls, who receive the Lord worthily and devoutly and who strive to preserve themselves in this purity until the next Communion. But there are very few who live with this intention, and the enemy is ceaselessly alert in striving to throw them back into their forgetfulness, distraction and indifference, so that he may not be obliged to encounter such powerful weapons in the hands of men. Write this admonition in thy heart; and since without thy merit the Almighty has ordained, that thou receive holy Communion daily, seek by all possible means to preserve thyself in the good dispositions from one Communion to the other. It is the will of the Lord and my own, that with this sword thou fight the battles of the Almighty in the name of the holy Church against the invisible enemies. For in our days they are heaping affliction and sorrow upon the mistress of nations, while there is none to console her or to take it to heart (Thren. 1, 1). Do thou thyself weep for the same reason and let thy heart be torn in sorrow. But while the omnipotent and just Judge who is so greatly incensed against the Catholics for having outraged his justice by their unmeasurable and continual transgressions even under the aegis of their grand faith, none are found to consider and weigh the fearful damage, nor to approach the easy remedy of receiving the holy Eucharist with a contrite and humble heart; nor does any one ask for my intercession.

According to tradition, St. John brought Mary to Ephesus, where she lived out her earthly life.

Jason Samosa has produced some of the most thought provoking materials on Youtube that I have seen lately. Like Richard Dolan, he is a meticulous researcher and careful thinker, but he goes even further down some of the rabbit holes. He is especially interested in the intersection of both religious and ufological ideas of apocalypse/end times, especially when it comes to the powerful people who are driving the strange events happening in the world.

One of his main theses: the elite and powerful of Europe (but perhaps the rest of the world too), have always been in conflict with each other to acquire as much wealth and power as possible. Since the European Revolutions of 1848-49, and as the common people have tried to take more powerful by establishing democracies, these elite and secret groups have had to put away some of their differences and band together with other elites to control the common peoples. They do this by maniputating events (e.g. war) and mind control. Never the less, elite groups are very much at war with each other.

It seems that these elites groups are also aware that "something is coming", that there will be an event, one that may erode some of their power. Since they want to hold on to their power and wealth, they are manipulating some of the narratives out their: religious and ufological narratives, and trying to convince the common people that something apocolyptic is going to happen.

The demand for exorcisms in the US has skyrocketed in recent years, leading to a significant increase in the number of priests trained to perform the ritual, a leading Catholic exorcist has revealed.

Speaking to the New York Post, Father Chad Ripperger of the Archdiocese of Denver stated that the Catholic Church currently has around 150 priests in the US who can perform exorcisms. In 2020, there were only about 20 priests trained in the practice, marking a whopping 650% increase in just a few years.

However, Ripperger argued that the phenomenon reflects a rise in human sinfulness and occult involvement rather than an increase in demonic activity.

“The demons are empowered as more and more people commit evil deeds,” the priest said, pointing to voluntary engagement in Satanism or witchcraft as a key factor making individuals susceptible to demonic influence. At the same time, he noted that only “about 10% of cases are as dramatic as portrayed in Hollywood.”

Reverend Dan Todd, a trained exorcist in New Jersey, also told the New York Post that while “the devil is out there,” about 99% of cases are due to mental illness, adding that psychiatric disorders such as schizophrenia and dissociative identity disorder can often mimic demonic possession.

The surge in demands for exorcisms has become so pronounced that Pope Leo XIV convened a summit of the world’s most senior exorcists at the Vatican earlier this month. At the meeting, the International Association of Exorcists warned the pontiff of a global rise in “occultism, esotericism, and Satanism” and called for every diocese worldwide to have trained exorcists.

More than 300 exorcists gathered last year for the 15th International Conference of Exorcists, reflecting what participants describe as a coordinated and expanding international ministry.

The trend has not been limited to the US. In Russia, the occult services market has recently ballooned to an estimated $24 billion annually, with Russians spending as much on “sorcerers” and fortune-tellers as on groceries.

The Russian Orthodox Church has warned against performing or seeking such rituals, demanding that Satanism be legally prohibited as well as the advertisement of “occult magic services.” Last year, the Russian Supreme Court officially banned the ‘International Satanist Movement’ as an extremist organization.

Also at my parish church, at Epiphany after mass our church had blessing kits for us to take home and bless our homes to protect from evil spirits. And after mass we always say the St Michael’s prayer for protection, before we leave.

St Michael’s Prayer

St. Michael the Archangel,

Be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the Devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray,

O Prince of the heavenly hosts,

Yes indeed, but if you want Satan to know you really mean business, the prayer can also be said in Latin:

Today is Holy Wednesday, or as we traditionally call it: Spy Wednesday the day Judas betrayed Jesus for 30 silver coins.

But something curious most people miss is the fact Judas betrayed the Son of Man for little more than 4 months of wage. Literally.

When we hear "thirty pieces of silver," it sounds like a mythical, massive pirate's treasure. It wasn't.

Let's do some quick math.

The coins were likely Tyrian shekels. One shekel was worth exactly four Roman denarii. A denarius was the standard wage for one day of hard manual labor.

Thirty shekels equaled 120 days of work. Exactly four months' wages.

Judas Iscariot didn't get a palace. He didn't get an army. He didn't get political immunity. He handed over the Creator of the Universe to be tortured to death for the equivalent of a used car or a few months of cheap rent.

We look at Judas with absolute disgust, but we do the exact same thing. Sin never offers you a fair trade.

The devil doesn't need to offer you the entire world to buy your soul; he just needs to find out how ridiculously cheap your price is.

Men abandon their faith, break their vows, and compromise their integrity every single day for a slight promotion, a fleeting moment of pleasure, or a tiny bit of social approval.

You are trading eternity for pocket change.

I am a new Catholic but I am deeply concerned about Bishop Barron. Paula White in an unabashed heretic.
He remained silent when His Eminence was refused from the Holy Sepulchre but penned a Twitter novel lambasting Carrie PreJean over her theologically-sound views regarding Zionism. Today, the Bishop promotes Ben Shapiro as his friend— Ben, to his credit, has always been honest about his views that Christ was a criminal who is burning in feces in hell. I will remind you he also once told Ben that he could be saved, before backtracking.
I ask you sincerely, what is the proper recourse for this within the church?

He did not even know the St. Michael prayer.
My two year old son knows this prayer.
I am genuinely confused about what he is doing and who he is doing it for. I know I have much to learn, but it would be nice to see a Catholic round table regarding this.

Did you know? The wounds of Christ were not random. Each major wound He endured on the Cross corresponds to the deepest sins that have afflicted humanity since the Fall—the very sins the prophets warned us about and that the Church still calls us to repent from today...

🔸 The Scourging — His flesh torn by countless lashes — atones for lust, our repeated offenses against the dignity of the body and the slavery of our passions.

🔸 The Crown of Thorns — piercing His sacred head — atones for pride, the root of all sin that exalts ourselves above God and others.

🔸 The Wounds on His Shoulders, Knees, and feet — from carrying the heavy Cross and falling under its weight — atone for injustice, the burdens we selfishly place on others through oppression, indifference, or greed.

🔸 The Nails in His Hands and Feet — fixing Him to the Cross — atone for disobedience, our stubborn rebellion against God’s will and the true freedom found only in surrender to Him.

Yet Jesus bore every one of them with perfect, unconditional love, so that you and I could finally be set free: “He himself bore our sins in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; ‘by his wounds you have been healed.’” (1 Peter 2:24)
