... and those of us with the luxury of enough time on our hands to have gone down the Alex/Sandy Hook and the Candace/Brigitte Macron rabbit holes know Trump hasn't looked at these subjects deep enough to 'get it'....

Back in the days when the news came off a printing press and smelled of fresh ink, there was a quip going around that the local paper published a first page, above the fold, report that the local Mayor had been up to some no good. However when the Mayor immediately phoned (imagine wired handset going to a base with a rotary dial) the paper to complain, his primary complaint was that they misspelled his name.

In short: Any news is good news.

Trump, over and over again, brings the focus of news to himself and others who normally would be buried on a back page, by making outrageous pronouncements the main stream press just can't resist reporting.

We are in a war for our lives, our futures, and therefore the lives of our children. The powers that be ingeniously installed devices to allow for them to maintain power while preparing for total suppression. These devices come in one form as intolerable speech. The only real survival now lies in evolution of a different kind — not moral surrender, but moral defense. According to Coinbase's WLFI chart, on Sun, Feb 22, 2026 WLFI dropped $0.0222 (-2.19) to a low of $0.9924. That's a large transient for a stable coin, but a small transient for a thinly traded cryptocoin. WLFI returned to it usual $0.9990 to $0.9999 range the next day. The above March 31 Coindesk article did not mention that the alarming trade it was reporting on had happened over five weeks earlier on February 22.

If I understand this right, it really underscores the risks of using small, illiquid tokens as collateral for large loans in DeFi, especially when insider influence can threaten protocol stability and depositors' "money". ???

Well, yeah ... I wouldn't engage in such transactions, even if I played at that level, unless I had some serious inside understanding of what was going on.

This Sandmark article seems to explain what's going on with a bit more clarity, and a bit less click-bait alarm:

If I can understand this properly
My take is that this might not be a live scandal but rather, old selectively framed information made to sound more alarming than it is?

That said though, even stripped of media spinning in background- the basic structure still sounds sketchy - use of own token as a down/collateral, borrowing from a platform connected to your own peeps and tying up depositors money?

I’m now stepping in territory I really stink at and hoping I even understood this post correctly?

Yep, I think you’re right.

Trump may have been blowing off steam, but he also knows exactly how to throw a grenade into the room and get everybody talking. And that’s what happened. Now people are digging into Tucker, Candace, Alex, all of it, and drawing their own conclusions.

So credit where it’s due. He knows how to stir the pot and make people look. Whether that’s wisdom or just chaos in a red tie… well, that’s another

So Trump is now openly praising Palantir and tagging the stock symbol like a promoter. Fitting name, really. In Tolkien, the palantír was a seeing stone that did not just reveal — it also deceived, influenced, and trapped the user in a manipulated vision of reality. That feels about right. The outsider image was the bait. We were sold a patriot at war with the machine, but more and more it looks like a manufactured mask used to gather up sincere dissent and route it straight back into the system. Maybe MAGA was not the rebellion but rather was the roundup, the funnel.

The outsider image was the bait. We were sold a patriot at war with the machine, but more and more it looks like a manufactured mask used to gather up sincere dissent and route it straight back into the system. Maybe MAGA was not the rebellion but rather was the roundup, the funnel.

It's astonishing to me how so many people take EVERY SINGLE action or quote from Trump so literally, especially after so many years of seeing how he responds to insults from others so often. He's truly broken the minds of many in my opinion. Or perhaps it's the main stream media and anti-Trump propagandists that has actually broken the minds of many people.
