A personal note: I truly, truly understand that many who have faithfully and loyally supported Donald Trump may find this all very unpalatable and difficult to believe or even listen to at all.

All I can suggest personally is that wearing a logical scientific hat (as it were), and treating this as a hypothesis, the hypothesis predicts that this issue will get steadily worse and increasingly visible to all.

So if the hypothesis is correct, the outcome of the 'test' will be there for everyone to see. We'll just have to wait for it all to play out as it may, or may not.

here's the thing...... it isn't as simple as...... 'loyally supporting Donald Trump....'

I can't speak for anyone else but I don't want to get side tracked by endless Anti~Trump propaganda..... that has been full on for at least the last 10 years..... I don't want to succumb to the manipulation of the MSM and Internet influencers (whoever they are and however 'impressive' and knowledgeable they (at first) seem)......I don't want my mind polluted with all the suspicion, doubt, spite and nastiness - dressed up as 'serious debate....serious research - -

    I'm not having it.....

I will skim over the general stuff being said....alleged.... taking in possibilities (potentially real problems) but without letting it influence MY mind - I'm keeping the bigger picture at the forefront ....

    re the bolded....

indeed we will see how it all plays out.... but..... constantly directing heavy negativity at another Human Being (ie Trump in this instance) - affecting the collective consciousness - could actually influence the outcome.... like a kind of voodoo thing....like a curse....

'no man is an island' and all that....

    cheers....
    The hypocrisy is astonishing.

Most of the same people now claiming Trump has dementia or is mentally unfit to be President and that the 25th Amendment should be invoked to remove him from office are the same people who completely ignored or said nothing when Biden was falling on stage, constantly mumbling and fumbling words, unable to complete a full sentence, saying things completely making no sense, falling asleep on camera, bursting out in unprovoked fits of anger, etc. etc. etc. Biden literally didn't know where he was or what exactly was going on around him much of the time!

Yes Trump is almost 80, but he is in better shape physically and mentally than most people his age. Sure his age is likely affecting him, but nothing like we seen with Biden.

Blind hatred does affect the collective consciousness and could or does influence the out come like a curse as you say; it also often prevents many from seeing the bigger picture.

and...... one of the potential outcomes of the never ending Anti Trump PSYOP could be a 'boy who cried wolf' scenario - lets say IF Trump went severely down hill in the brain department one day - ie did actually go bonkers - because of the pressure, workaholism, stress, bad diet, traitors circulating like vultures, mind control, directed energy weapons, the curse..... etc etc etc... well half the world (and the majority of his own supporters) would remain sceptical about it because of all the previous lies, twists and exaggerations..........the occasional serious and concerned researcher at the moment could easily be ignored because of the army of boys crying wolf... year after year with no let up....

as you say Biden was a complete, incoherent mess - but endless excuses were made for him and in comparison Trump is doing extremely well for a man in his late seventies....

    from Wikipedia...

Quote "The Boy Who Cried Wolf" is one of Aesop's Fables, numbered 210 in the Perry Index.[1] From it is derived the English idiom "to cry wolf", defined as "to give a false alarm" in Brewer's Dictionary of Phrase and Fable[2] and glossed by the Oxford English Dictionary as meaning to make false claims, with the result that subsequent true claims are disbelieved.[3]

    Fable
The tale concerns a shepherd boy who repeatedly tricks villagers into believing a wolf is attacking his flock. When a real wolf appears and the boy cries for help, the villagers dismiss it as another false alarm, allowing the wolf to devour the sheep. In a later English-language poetic version of the fable, the wolf also eats the boy.

For those who want some clarity, these two videos are most interesting. For those who are resistant, watching these two videos would probably trigger defence mechanisms!

IMO opinion, most of the political class are complicit, captured and motivated by self enrichment. The fact that Biden was defended by Democrat supporters does not make the defence of Trump right. It simply reaffirms the problem as a general one.

Quote In this video, journalist Chris Hedges analyzes Donald Trump's political movement through the lens of a cult leader. Hedges argues that Trump functions similarly to pastors of mega-churches and leaders of historical cults by demanding total loyalty, exploiting the despair of his followers, and positioning himself as an omnipotent, god-like figure.

Quote This video explores Hannah Arendt’s influential book Eichmann in Jerusalem, focusing on the concept of the "banality of evil" and applying it to the modern role of technocrats using a "salience frame" model.

Those ‘Scary’ AI Models Are Still Only Slop

    April 24, 2026

There are two big companies all over the media who’s sole products are so called ‘Artificial Intelligence’ models.

One is OpenAI, led by Scam Altman, and the other is Anthropic, led by Dario Amodei.
The products these guys peddle are simulation machines based on Large Language Models.

One can ask those machines questions. The models will recognize patterns in those questions and compare them with patterns they have learned during their training. They then simulate real answers by adding the most probable words to the previous ones. They are probabilistic language prediction tools.

These simulations models are huge, use a lot of human derived training material and cost a lot of computing power to run them. Often their results seem quite nifty. Variants of them can create text, pictures and even movies. But all of these results are simulations. They ain’t the real stuff.

These models are inherently faulty. That faultiness, which often result in so called ‘hallucinations’, is not correctable. It is part of the algorithm. It is a genuine, mathematically proven characteristic of these types of models.

I have just asked the AI system offered within DuckDuckGo, my standard search engine, “How many ‘p’s are in strawberry”. The model gave the correct answer. There are none.

I then asked “How many ‘e’s are in strawberry”. The model gave an incorrect answer. Its full response: “In summary, “strawberry” has zero ‘e’s.” It even lists the letters found in the word ‘strawberry’ and states the count of ‘e’s therein is zero.

No only the result but also the simulated ‘reasoning’, here the letter count by the model, is wrong.

Why anyone would trust these general Large Language Models with anything is beyond me.

The models both – OpenAI and Anthropic – currently have on offer are faulty but hugely expensive to run. Given their rudimentary capacities no one is willing to pay big dollars to use them. Both, OpenAI and Anthropic, are burning money. They offer access to and the use of their models for prices that are up to ten times lower than it is costing to run them.

OpenAI and Anthropic need tens of billions to further develop and run their models. (Also Altman and Amodei want to get rich.) They hope that some-day, some-how, these models will do better and generate profits. But to, maybe, get there will require many more tens of billions. They try to collect these by hyping the alleged future value of their products.

The OpenAI/Altman claim is that some Artificial General Intelligence (undefined) will soon emerge from their model and solve all of the world’s problems. Those who own shares of it will become rich.

The marketing scheme of Anthropic/Amodei is based on scaring people: “AGI will take over and rule the world and you need us and our models to protect you from it”.

Both claims are, of course, utter bullshit.

But media like to hype this stuff and some so called ‘journalists’ love these narratives.

Anthropic recently came up with a new model which is allegedly bigger and better than any other one. But Anthropic is also out of money. Computing capacity has become rare and it can not afford to let the public use the model.

To justify its non-release of the allegedly specular new ‘Mythos’ model Anthropic invented another scare story. Mythos, it claims, is good at hacking:

Anthropic’s New A.I. Model Sets Off Global Alarms (archived) – NY Times
Mythos has triggered emergency responses from central banks and intelligence agencies globally, as Anthropic decides who has access to the powerful model.
When Anthropic told the world this month that it had built an artificial intelligence model so powerful that it was too dangerous to release widely, the company named 11 organizations as partners to help mount a defense.
All were from the United States.

World leaders have struggled to figure out the scale of the security risks and how to fix them, with Anthropic sharing Mythos with only Britain outside the United States. The Bank of England governor warned publicly that Anthropic may have found a way to “crack the whole cyber-risk world open.” The European Central Bank began quietly questioning banks about their defenses. Canada’s finance minister compared the threat to the closure of the Strait of Hormuz.

Anthropic, which is based in San Francisco, told The New York Times that it was keeping access to Mythos small because of safety and security concerns.

Well, the Financial Times reports that there are other, more serious reasons, for Anthropic to limit access to its newest model:
Anthropic has said it will hold off on a wider release of the model until it is reassured that it is safe and cannot be abused by bad actors. The company also has a finite amount of computing power and has suffered outages in recent weeks.
Multiple people with knowledge of the matter suggested Anthropic was holding back from a wider release until it could reliably serve the model to customers.
Anthropic can not let people use its new model because it lacks the necessary capacity and/or money to provide for its use.

This is the reason why we are presented with a scare story and told about a necessity of close access.

The Mythos model is allegedly especially powerful in breaking into computer systems. The NY Times claims:
[Britain’s] A.I. Security Institute, a government-backed organization, tested Mythos and published an independent evaluation last week, confirming that it could carry out complex cyberattacks that no previous A.I. model had completed.
In basic hacking tests Mythos indeed performed a tiny bit better than other models. But the A.I. Security Institute also found that the general cyberattack capabilities of all these models, including Mythos, are only rudimentary:
Mythos Preview’s success on one cyber range indicates that it is at least capable of autonomously attacking small, weakly defended and vulnerable enterprise systems where access to a network has been gained. However, our ranges have important differences from real-world environments that make them easier targets. They lack security features that are often present, such as active defenders and defensive tooling. There are also no penalties for the model for undertaking actions that would trigger security alerts.
Said differently. These models can do amateur level hacking IF one allows them full open access to ones network AND disables all its defenses. That is of course not something any sane network administrator will do.

Other investigators also found that the allegedly scary Mythos model can’t do what is claimed:

Anthropic’s super-scary bug hunting model Mythos is shaping up to be a nothingburgerRegister
Anthropic, in announcing the new model, claimed Mythos identified “thousands of additional high- and critical-severity vulnerabilities.” VulnCheck researcher Patrick Garrity, however, put the count as of last week at maybe 40. Or maybe none at all.
Another engineer, Devansh, scoured the Mythos-related CVE advisories and Anthropic’s exploit code, 44-prompt transcript, and 244-page system card, along with Glasswing partner agreements, red-team writeups. He also looked at Aisle’s replication study, which tested Mythos’ showcase vulnerabilities on small, cheap, open-weights models and found they produced much of the same analysis.
Devansh ultimately concluded that while the bugs it found are real, the true Mythos story is “one of misinformation and hype.
So much for the veracity of the NY Times hype story linked above. That story also claimed that the announcement of the ‘Mythos’ model is a sign of U.S. superiority:
“For China I think this is the second wake-up call after ChatGPT,” said Matt Sheehan, a senior fellow at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace. He added that a U.S. policy to prevent China from obtaining the most sophisticated semiconductors for building advanced A.I. systems was helping to extend the U.S. lead.
Ahhh – those very “most sophisticated semiconductors” … as if China would need those …
DeepSeek previews new AI model adapted to run on Huawei chipsReuters
BEIJING, April 24 (Reuters) – DeepSeek, the Chinese startup whose low-cost AI model stunned the world last year, on Friday launched a preview of a highly awaited new model adapted for Huawei chip technology, underlining China’s growing self-sufficiency in the sector.
The Pro version of the new model outperforms other open-source models in world-knowledge benchmarks, trailing only Google’s closed-source Gemini-Pro-3.1, DeepSeek said.
The close collaboration with Huawei on the new model, the V4, contrasts with DeepSeek’s past reliance on Nvidia’s chips.
Within some well defined circumstance and use-cases Artificial Intelligence models, including LLMs, are cost efficient and useful.

But the current false hype about LLM systems, and their (ab)use to create ‘slop’, will likely delay the more useful applications.

Trump is having a tremendous impact in every aspect of the US government but hardly any of this info is making it into the news.

Washington DC Now Has the Highest Unemployment Rate in the Country at 6.9 Percent

A few years ago, I was eating breakfast in a DC hotel listening to two men talk about their schedule for the day. Their business was decorating homes for Christmas, and they were discussing their heavy workload.

As I listened quietly the men were describing premium rates for DC families who wanted their decorating services completed fastest. The average rate was $15,000 per residence for 30-day interior holiday decorating, and the rates went up from there. They were overwhelmed with business calls.

I sat there stunned doing spit-takes with my coffee while thinking, “holy cow, who has that kind of money to blow, just renting Holiday decorations?” One of the client names was familiar, Kellyanne Conway. “Jumpin’ ju-ju bones, this is an actual thing they do up here,” I thought. My mind was blown, but this put context to the economic bubble that isolated DC from the rest of ‘real’ America.

Yesterday, I read a New York Times column describing how the professional political employees and their families have been impacted by President Trump and the downsizing of the federal workforce.

    Amid the tear-filled typeset meant to generate sympathy this part jumped out at me: “The District of Columbia currently has the highest unemployment rate in the nation, at 6.7 percent, in large part because of major reductions in the federal work force, including U.S.A.I.D., and cuts to government grants and contracts.” {CITATION}

Almost all of the $35 billion spent by USAID in 2024 went to Washington-based contractors, not to people in need overseas. Eliminating USAID has now created an unemployment problem for all of those DC-based federal contractors, NGOs and USAID employees. The NYT article gives examples of the terrible state of affairs. I have just asked the AI system offered within DuckDuckGo, my standard search engine, “How many ‘p’s are in strawberry”. The model gave the correct answer. There are none.

I then asked “How many ‘e’s are in strawberry”.
The default AI model currently used by DuckDuckGo (duck.ai) is gpt-5-mini. I got the same answer as you did - zero 'e's in strawberry. I then stayed in DuckDuckGo (duck.ai) and used the option on its page to switch models from gpt-5-mini to Claude Haiku 4.5, and got this answer:
The word "strawberry" contains 3 e's.
Here's the breakdown: strawberry — the letter 'e' appears once in the word, but let me count more carefully by going through each letter:
    s-t-r-a-w-b-e-r-r-y
The 'e' appears once (in the 7th position).
I apologize for the initial error. The correct answer is 1 e in "strawberry".
My speculation would be that Claude Haiku 4.5 is so accustomed to answering the "how many r's in strawberry" question with the answer "three", that it just said "three" ... but then it double checked and got it right.

Some of the other AI models I work with (and pay modest sums of money for) are getting far more powerful.

Yes - they can hallucinate. So can my mind, even on a good day, in areas where I am expert. AI enables me at present to be productive in technical areas where I am not an expert (or even barely a novice), and increases the speed I can architect and refine solutions in areas where I am expert. As in many endeavors, working with a cooperative "colleague" or even just a "fine tool" is a "richer" experience than working totally solo. As always, one learns the strengths and limits of one's self, one's tools, and one's colleagues ... though in the case of AI, that is changing rapidly (a delight to some of us, a less welcome challenge to many others).

It was predicted quite a while ago that strangely enough, Trump would shift toward some kind of spiritual figure of some sort. lol Not looking quite as crazy as last year.

    FWIW, I asked Tarot
    1) "whats going on with his unhinged behavior?"
"3 of Pentacles" - That would seem to indicate a secret society hidden plan no? No idea if my tarot pulls are legit or not, but for people to say this can't be part of the theatre are pretending they know. Biden was a good cover to speed up the destruction , since they got the perfect scapegoat of a prez with no idea whats going on. Perhaps they are just keeping that going by having him look like he is losing it, while they continue the implosion of the system.

    Then I asked,
    2) "What then is the plan?"
"2 of wands" - Keywords = Physical Decisions, Stay or Go, Deciding Which Course Of Action To Take, Waiting For The Signal To Act, Waiting For The Right Time To Make Your Move, Being At A Crossroads, Travel Over Seas, Power, Ambition, Aspirations, Business Partnerships, Forging Alliances, Negotiation With Another Over Goals/Action To Take, Overseas Expansion, Boredom, Restlessness, Life becomes Dull, Not Content, Outgrown Current Conditions, Feel You Are Missing Out On The Action, Needing New Challenges, More To Life Than What You Have, Greater Things To Achieve, Could Do Better For Yourself Elsewhere, Wanting More Out Of Life, Vision Of Better Things, Wanting To Make Something More Of Your Self, The Need For Something New, Plans Waiting To Be Implemented, Needing To Move On, Grass Greener on Other Side, The Lure of Adventure, The Lure of Foreign/Overseas Places, Emigration, Sudden Departure, Restrictions to Freedom, Overseas/Long Distance Relationship, Attracted To Someone Not Of Your Own Nationality, Hankering For Someone

    Lastly, I asked
    3) "why do they need to go about it in this manner?"
"10 of pentacles" - Keywords = The Death of a Situation Prior to The Beginning of a New One, Transition, Major Psychological Transformation, Mental or Physical Collapse, Mental Stress, Breakdown, Exhaustion, Defeat, Failure, Ruin, Catastrophes, Luckless, Cursed, Blighted, Heavy Cross to Bear, Powerless, Letting Go, The Death of a Situation, Time to Move On, Goodbyes, Severance, The End, Closure, Flogging a Dead Horse, Surrender, Giving Up, Finality, As Low as you can Go, Hitting Rock Bottom, ‘The Straw That Broke The Camel’s Back’, Final Nail in The Coffin, The End of The Line, Unable to Cope, Hitting The Wall, ‘Darkest Hour is just before Dawn’, Relief, Release, Overkill, Exaggeration, Melodramatic, Martyr, Victim, Looking For Attention, Treachery, Betrayal, Stabbed in the Back, Bitter Rows, Assault, Attack, Violence, Aggression, Crime, Enemies, Disloyal Friends, Bad Mouthing, Bitching behind Your Back, Being Used as a Doormat, Bullying, Run Down, Chronic Fatigue, Ill, Back Problems, Acupuncture, Getting Your Point Across, Forcing your Opinions on Others,

Many interesting keywords I underlined in questions 3.

Well that was a bit of fun lol.

06:43 The London-Tehran Big Lie Machine
10:42 Justice Comes for the Insurrectionists

Barbara Boyd previews renewed Iran peace negotiations in Islamabad ahead of a ceasefire deadline, as Iran allegedly challenged a U.S. naval blockade, lost a ship, and again closed the Strait of Hormuz, with Trump warning “No More Mr. Nice guy” if peace fails and arguing Iran is bleeding $500 million a day.

She shows a City of London–linked propaganda network is working to prolong the war and damage Trump before the midterms by targeting Vice President JD Vance, citing a Financial Times column by Edward Luce and post–Munich Security Conference smears portraying Vance as pro-Putin.

Boyd outlines three layers of Iran-linked messaging—Press TV in London, NIAC in Washington, and the “Iran Experts Initiative” infiltration of U.S. think tanks—and says justice is coming via prosecutions led by Joseph DiGenova, with Kash Patel promising arrests, while Vance leads talks and a National Fraud Task Force.

09:44 The Empire Holds Its Inquest

In this midweek update, Susan Kokinda argues that Kevin Warsh’s Senate Banking Committee testimony—calling for “regime change” at the Federal Reserve and blaming inflation on excessive money creation—signals a broader shift aligned with the Trump administration against what she describes as an Imperial, British-led free-trade order.

She highlights Warsh’s criticism of post-2008 quantitative easing as benefiting financial asset holders while many Americans own no assets, and contrasts this with Democrats’ focus on divestment issues. Kokinda ties Warsh’s stance to Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent’s emphasis on raising living standards over bailing out markets and to Trump’s comments on Fed independence.

She then points to Trump’s April 20 Defense Production Act action citing market failures in energy infrastructure, including transformer shortages, as national-security threats, linking this to energy independence and Iran, and contrasts it with Mark Carney’s globalist posture and references to the War of 1812.

DOJ Expands Federal Death Penalty Methods to Include Firing Squads
    ByKelly McBride Ni
    4/24/2026
    https://www.ntd.com/doj-expands-fede...Rr%2BBrOBwY%3D

" The DOJ said it would 'restore its solemn duty to seek, obtain, and implement lawful capital sentences—clearing the way for the Department to carry out executions once death-sentenced inmates have exhausted their appeals.'

The U.S. Department of Justice announced that it plans to expand and resume use of the federal death penalty, including reinstating execution protocols, authorizing new capital prosecutions, and adding potential execution methods.

In a press release on April 24, the DOJ said it has rescinded the Biden-Garland moratorium on federal executions. The DOJ said it would “restore its solemn duty to seek, obtain, and implement lawful capital sentences—clearing the way for the Department to carry out executions once death-sentenced inmates have exhausted their appeals.”
The Biden-Garland moratorium on federal executions commuted 37 of 40 federal death sentences to life without parole in December 2024. Since then, the remaining federal death row inmates include Dylann Roof, Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, and Robert Bowers.

“The prior administration failed in its duty to protect the American people by refusing to pursue and carry out the ultimate punishment against the most dangerous criminals,” said Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche.

“Under President Trump’s leadership, the Department of Justice is once again enforcing the law and standing with victims,” he said.

Among the changes, the DOJ directed the Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) to reinstate lethal injection using pentobarbital and expand execution protocols to include additional methods, such as the firing squad.

The DOJ said they directed the BOP to “examine relocating or expanding federal death row or constructing an additional execution facility to permit additional manners of execution.”

The DOJ is also developing legislative proposals to accelerate capital cases.
Capital Punishment 'Essential' for Functioning Justice System: Trump Administration
In its newly released report, “Restoring and Strengthening the Federal Death Penalty,” the DOJ said President Donald Trump recognizes capital punishment as “an essential tool” in a functioning criminal justice system.
“Not only does it ‘deter and punish those who would commit the most heinous crimes,’ but death, more than any other punishment, communicates the immeasurable value of innocent human life,” Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche said. “It also provides a sense of closure and finality to the families of murder victims.”

Blanche said that by the end of Trump’s first term, the DOJ had executed 13 people convicted of murder.

Among those executed was Keith Dwayne Nelson, who kidnapped 10-year-old Pamela Butler while she rollerbladed outside her home. He forced her into his pickup truck, took her to a wooded area behind a church, and sexually assaulted her before strangling her with a wire.

After witnessing his execution, Butler’s mother told reporters, “I feel at peace now, and I feel Pammy’s soul is at peace and that she can rest.”

The DOJ said additional steps in the coming weeks will include potential rule changes to shorten the time between sentencing and execution, and limit when clemency petitions can be filed.

Federal executions have more recently been carried out at the U.S. Penitentiary in Terre Haute, Indiana, which houses the federal execution chamber. According to the Death Penalty Information Center, 50 federal executions have been carried out since 1927, including 34 before 1988 using methods such as hanging, electrocution, and gas.
Since 2000, 16 federal executions have taken place, with two in 2001, one in 2003, and 13 carried out between July 2020 and January 2021. Those executed included Daniel Lewis Lee, Wesley Ira Purkey, and Lisa Montgomery, who were convicted of crimes including multiple murders, killing children, and kidnapping resulting in death. All were executed by lethal injection at Terre Haute.
The DOJ says in the coming weeks it will also “revise the Justice Manual to return the Department to its historic approach to capital crimes, streamline the process for seeking death sentences, and ensure appropriate consultation with victims’ families.” "

"No More Mr. Nice Guy" is apparently an understatement...
If Trump is suffering from dementia now, he may be one of those victims of the condition whose symptoms include very cruel behavior.
Though being nice was not really one of his priorities, imho.

Yuck! I look at some of the Trump posts on Truth Social that you repost here, Bill, and just feel like something needs to be said, but these posts just leave me speechless, although there are a lot of feelings the flash through me when I see garbage like this. I feel utter disgust that the President of a once really great country could post such undignified trash, it feels surrealy weird to live in such an age, and then, for a brief moment one has to laugh at the utter juvenile stupidity going on here. And then the disgust and surreal feeling return.

The way I get past this is to remind myself that "this is all fake." Just like "reality" shows on television are, this is scripted, purely for the sake of getting a reaction. The people who create this stuff are just spiritual pornographers trying "extract your loosh" and distract you while your soul is subconsciously lured into some darker place. It really feels like someone has recycled narratives from "The Jerry Springer Show" and "The Kardashians" and fed them into A.i. to come up with new outrageous scripts played out by actors with political titles. It's quite a show. But you will thank your self later if you just hit the "off" button.

And that's what I do. I just say "Wow, ain't that something". And then remember I have other, more worthwhile things to do, and "hit the off button." It gets easier each time.

Okayyy.... These Trump posts aren't even 2D checkers games, they're sewage. Absolutely obvious by now.

There's the possibility that Trump has given Laura Loomer access to his TruthSocial account, and it is Laura that is posting such garbage. In either case, it's a total and depressing defeat of the presidential office. Extremely concerning given that Trump is commander in chief of the most powerful military on the planet.
But that power is being whittled away fast now.

    News from Science

U.S. President Donald Trump has fired all 24 members of the National Science Board, the body that oversees the National Science Foundation. Many science advocates see it as the latest step by his administration to erode—some would say destroy—the independence of the 76-year-old research agency.

    https://x.com/NewsfromScience/status...67923361996810

1/Hypothesis: We are witnessing a meticulous deconstruction of the institutions that guide US policy and funding. By removing independent guardrails, the Admin is clearing a path to align federal R&D priorities with the personal and business interests of inner-circle allies. 🧵

2/The Friday dismissal of the National Science Board (NSB) is the "smoking gun." Firing the entire board—the buffer between politics and the NSF’s $9B budget—parallels the Project 2025 roadmap to centralize control. Without independent oversight, who decides where the money goes?

This stated hypothesis presumes that the NSF was well guided before, and now will be corruptly guided.

Given the depth and breadth of "influence" by (foreign and domestic) large corporate, financial, military, and intelligence on any such well funded program, I seriously doubt the NSF funding was mostly guided by a higher awareness of how best to benefit Americans or humanity. We see through history that the best science rarely comes from the best funded sources, and from what I can see, that remains to be the case.

I have not seen any evidence of what now will guide the NSF, and hence I cannot presume it will be better or worse than before. I doubt anyone reading this is in any significantly more informed position.

We cannot conclude that a "large bag of spending that was probably more corrupt than we could see" was better than any bag that is not yet known at all to us.

Donald Trump evacuated from White House correspondents' dinner after suspected shooter apprehended (Video at the link)

    In short:
    - A suspected shooter has been taken into custody after US President Donald Trump was rushed from the White House correspondents' dinner.
    - One Secret Service officer was shot at close range but was saved by his bulletproof vest, Mr Trump said.
    - An FBI investigation is underway, with preliminary information suggesting the suspect was acting alone and was a guest at the Washington Hotel where the dinner unfolded.

    Quote:
" ... Mr Carroll said the suspect was taken to the hospital to be evaluated, but "he was not struck by gunfire".

He added the man was "armed with a shotgun, a handgun and multiple knives" as he stormed the security checkpoint.

The suspect will be charged with using a firearm during a crime of violence and assault on a federal officer using a dangerous weapon, according to US Attorney Jeanine Piro.

He will appear before a US district judge on Monday, local time. ... "

EXPOSED: The 'Trapped Trump' Lie — DOJ Drops SPLC Bombshell

00:00 The Saturday Wrap-Up - EXPOSED: The 'Trapped Trump' Lie — DOJ Drops SPLC Bombshell - April 25, 2026
02:47 The SPLC Bites the Dust
    07:37 Trump Unchains the Grid

Barbara Boyd argues that media narratives about Donald Trump being trapped by impeachment, high prices, and a new Iran war are false, and claims the administration has launched an “accountability” and economic push.

It highlights a Justice Department indictment of the Southern Poverty Law Center for fraud, alleging the SPLC smeared conservatives while secretly funding racist groups and paying an informant involved in planning the 2017 Charlottesville “Unite the Right” event.
FBI Director Kash Patel cut ties with the SPLC and ADL, and that the IRS is banning fiscal sponsorships that hide donors.

It also covers five Defense Production Act energy executive orders to rapidly expand U.S. grid and fuel infrastructure to drive prices down, plus Regeneron joining “most favored nation” drug pricing and reshoring.

Finally, it cites Scott Bessent’s statements on expanding dollar swap lines to Gulf and Asian allies, framing this as outflanking London-backed alternatives to the dollar.

    Quote:
" 10 minutes Affordability Ward isn't just about energy. It's also about healthcare. This week, the White House announced another major pharmaceutical company, Regeneron, has agreed to most favored nation pricing for American patients and is moving manufacturing back to the United States. Now, 87% of all drug manufacturers have agreed to drastically drop prices and produce here. "
