Wow this is absolutely disgusting propaganda from the Economist. Literally the only truthful thing said in this video is that China is home to 56 ethnicities. Everything else is a pathetic attempt to smear China in the most negative way possible. But let's break down the facts of what's really happening in China👇

Most people don't know that China is home to over 300 different languages. You've probably heard of Mandarin and Cantonese as these are the two most spoken languages in China, but there are literally hundreds of other languages spoken by different groups of people depending on the region. In Shanghai, locals speak Shanghainese, in Chongqing the speak a local Chongqing dialect, travel throughout the country and local languages are EVERYWHERE.

But in order to move forward as one nation, China absolutely needs to have a national language that all people speak. That language is Mandarin and it's what is taught at all Chinese schools. Children in Xinjiang, Tibet, and Inner Mongolia ALL speak their local languages, but if you grow up speaking ONLY your local language you become a minority in your own country. You can not move to another region or city in China because you simply can not communicate.

This is something Americans have no concept of. In the United States we only have English and you can travel to all 50 states and the English language is practically identical. Sure certain words and phrases are used in different regions, but 99.9% of the English words are the same.

This is why so many Americans/Westerns fail to understand China, they simply can't comprehend how diverse and unique China is as a country.

Travel to Xinjiang and the Uighur language is EVERYWHERE. It's printed on billboards, signs, heard on the radio, TV, and everywhere in the streets. The same can be said for Tibet and Inner Mongolia.

China is not "squashing" 55 ethnicities. They are embracing them and wanting every Chinese person to be included in the development of the country's future.

Consider this, throughout the entire "one child policy" period (1980-2015). Ethnic minorities were ALWAYS exempt from this rule and allowed to have as many children as they wanted. If China's government really wanted to "squash" all minorities , why would the government allow them to produce as many babies as possible for 35+ years.

Once again, you can tell this is lazy journalism from the Economist whose writers have not spent enough time on the ground in China to truly understand how the country works.

But don't take my word for it, nor take this report from the Economist as truth. Simply book a ticket to China and go see it for yourself.

China is now on track to become the world's biggest tourism economy in 2026 and reports like this from the Economist will simply fall on deaf ears as hundreds of thousands of foreigners continue to pour into China and see the truth

Uneducated fools are the type of people who think the performance of a single airport stock = the entire tourism industry in China 🤦‍♂️

China’s tourism economy grew ~9.9% in 2025, more than double the global average and once again will become the top tourism economy in 2026.

You mention the performance of a single stock and want to pretend this represents the entire China tourism industry. In reality, it's one company, one airport, and one revenue model in a complex system of thousands of access points throughout China.

Beijing now has two international airports and the simple reality is PEK airport is not used as much anymore. In preparation for 2022 Winter Olympics, Beijing opened Daxing airport and that's where China Southern and China Eastern are now located at.

Another factor is that Shanghai is much more popular than Beijing for international tourists. Even Guangzhou a city I know the best in China as I travel back there multiple times a year has seen a massive increase in international tourism but of course it's always been a busy hub with the twice a year Canton Fair.

If your whole "China is collapsing" narrative is based on the performance of an old airport in Beijing than your cooked in your analysis.

Like I said before, unless you go to China and experience it yourself you will fail to understand China and it appears that is exactly what has happened to Ken

The China-built new-generation ultra-large vessel measures 230 meters long and 40 meters wide, with a design draft of 10.5 meters and a cruising speed of 19 knots. Powered by a LNG dual-fuel system, it has 14 vehicle decks and can carry a range of cargo, including electric vehicles, hydrogen-powered vehicles and heavy trucks.

In recent years, Chinese-built vessels have renewed the record for the world's largest car carrier. In late April 2025, BYD Shenzhen, with 9,200 standard vehicle spaces, made its maiden export voyage. Less than a month later, Anji Ansheng, with 9,500 vehicle spaces, set off from Shanghai for Europe on its maiden voyage. Both vessels were independently built by Chinese shipyards.

Since the dam closed in 2003, the Yangtze has stopped delivering the sediment that built its own delta over thousands of years. Downstream riverbanks are eroding. The Yangtze subaqueous delta — the underwater foundation of one of China's most densely populated coastal regions — has shifted from accumulation to erosion. Shanghai, built on a sediment plain that the river spent millennia constructing, is no longer receiving the material that maintains it.
Below the reservoir, the geology is responding to thirty-nine trillion kilograms of water pressing on fault lines that were only partially mapped before construction began. Earthquake frequency in the region increased seven to eight times after the reservoir reached full operating level. A previously unidentified fault — discovered only after the reservoir filled — has the potential to generate an earthquake approaching the dam's own designed seismic limit.
None of this is a failure. It is what happens when a perfect solution operates inside a system more complex than any engineering model was built to measure."

A California mayor who has since resigned has been charged with acting as an illegal agent of the People’s Republic of China and has agreed to plead guilty, according to federal prosecutors who say she secretly worked to push pro-Beijing messaging inside the United States before she took office.

Eileen Wang, former mayor of Arcadia, California, has been charged with acting as an illegal agent of the People’s Republic of China and has agreed to plead guilty to the felony offense, the Justice Department announced. She now faces up to 10 years in federal prison along with a potential $250,000 fine, though any sentence would be determined by a federal judge..

Federal prosecutors say Wang admitted she acted "at the direction and control" of Chinese government officials from at least 2020 through 2022, coordinating with individuals in the U.S. to spread pro-Beijing messaging, all without notifying the U.S. Attorney General as required by law. The conduct described by prosecutors occurred before Wang took office on the Arcadia City Council in December 2022.

Arcadia city officials said the case is tied to Wang’s individual conduct and does not impact city operations.

"Individuals elected to public office in the United States should act only for the people of the United States that they represent," Assistant Attorney General for National Security John A. Eisenberg said.

What if I told you the Chinese government is funding YouTubers to attack America's AI industry?

Honestly, a lot of people would believe that story immediately because for years, we've been told that China is the country funding propaganda campaigns, manipulating influencers, and secretly shaping narratives online.

But it turns out the exact opposite is true.

Not at all the exact opposite; no doubt both governments are paying for propaganda.
However, the CCP's is a lot more blatant and obvious, and their huge expenditures is a big factor in why their economy has been in a mess for quite some time now.
...Typical of what always causes the downfall of Communist countries.
I've been closely monitoring what's been ongoing in China for some years now, so I think I have a pretty good handle on it, and I've been posting that regularly on the forum regardless of the scarce attention it's been getting here.
Written reports can make all kinds of claims but there is visual proof in videos and those are still being successfully smuggled out of China, showing the reality.
One thing that is incredibly blatant and obvious is how horrible conditions have become for the majority of people in China with filthy food, air, water and the overall "No Trust" society, while in the US, it's still possible comparitively to live fairly well and safely even on a modest income.
Of course, the Globalists are doing their best to have China, their poster child, copied all over the world.
But the contest here on the forum focusing on East vs West is absurd once it's clearly understood where the whole planet is headed within the next 15 years or so.
What an example of the clown world we are living in now , where a conspiracy theory forum could become a voice for the Globalist agenda!
