That song was the introduction world wide of the black population in U.S. and their new music: rap,later went into hip pop and the rest until today...in resistible...

It went on and on mixed with many genres : jazz,rock,and so on...like Red Hot Chili Pepers band,Body Count,etc.

Once upon a time I heard some comment , correct or not: black people always dancing sic. in funerals too...

Well, All music genres from last century were coming from blacks/color community...

Blues,Jazz,Rock,Disco,Reage, and if you believe or not House and Techno too! (original from Detroit!)

Without the color community, we were still dancing waltzes, and the such...
