Tuapse has been attacked for the fourth time — the seaport terminal is on fire

There are no casualties; 128 personnel and 41 pieces of equipment are involved in extinguishing the fire.

This marks the fourth attack on the terminal since mid-April: previous strikes occurred on April 16, 20, and 28.

After the most recent of those, an oil refinery caught fire, and residents living nearby were evacuated. The fire was fully extinguished on April 30.

British MI-6, through its Ukrainian branch attempted today to attack Crimean Bridge with underwater kamikaze drones, strikes went on all night.

Nevertheless, according to preliminary data, British operation was thwarted, the Crimean Bridge is closed, the sea area is being inspected for the presence of underwater drones if, possibly, not all of them were destroyed.

Not coincidentally, Medvedev hinted today that we become witnesses to the use of nuclear weapons, but likely we do need to prepare for this.

Russian Defense Minister Holds Talks In North Korea

    Published on April 27, 2026

Russia’s Defense Minister, Andrey Belousov has arrived in North Korea on a working visit for talks with the country’s top leadership and armed forces command. The Defense Ministry stated that “As part of the visit, top Russian defense officials will meet with North Korea’s top leaders and armed forces command in Pyongyang. The Minister will also participate in ceremonial and commemorative events.”

At Pyongyang airport, Belousov was met by his North Korean counterpart Army General No Kwang Chol. During discussions in Pyongyang, Russia and North Korea agreed to “long-term” military cooperation. Belousov said “We agreed with the DPRK defence ministry to place our military cooperation on a stable, long-term footing. The agreement will cover the period from 2027 to 2031.” This suggests that Moscow may be expecting the Ukraine conflict to drag on for several more years.

North Korea has sent thousands of troops – as well as missiles and munitions – to support Russia’s special operations campaign in Ukraine. In return, analysts say North Korea is receiving financial aid, military technology, food and energy from Russia.

The North Korean President, Kim Jong-un said North Korea “would continue to fully support Russia’s policies of defending its sovereignty, territorial integrity and security interests.” Kim has steadily moved to elevate the North Korean troops who fought for Russia in the Kursk region into symbols of sacrifice and loyalty, using state ceremonies and memorial projects to publicly honour their role. “The souls of the fallen will live forever with the great honour they defended” Kim said in a handwritten message at the memorial on Sunday (April 26). Belousov meanwhile awarded the Russian Medal for Courage to North Korean troops during a ceremony in Pyongyang.

Kiev loses around 8,010 troops in special op zone over past week

Forces of the Black Sea Fleet destroyed 14 unmanned Ukrainian Navy boats over the past week, the Russian Defense Ministry said

MOSCOW, May 1. /TASS/. The Ukrainian army lost a total of around 8,010 troops in the special military operation zone over the past week, the Russian Defense Ministry said.

TASS has compiled more details on this and other weekly developments reported by the ministry.

    Enemy losses

According to the report, Ukraine lost over 1,270 servicemen in the Battlegroup North’s responsibility zone, over 1,340 in the Battlegroup West’s area, over 1,125 in the zone of the Battlegroup South, over 2,045 in the Battlegroup Center’s area, more than 1,960 in the zone of the Battlegroup East, and up to 270 in the Battlegroup Dnepr’s area.

Forces of the Black Sea Fleet destroyed 14 unmanned Ukrainian Navy boats over the past week, the ministry said.

    Air defense

Russian air defense systems shot down 53 guided bombs and 2,628 fixed-wing drones of the Ukrainian army. "Air defense systems have shot down 53 guided aerial bombs, four HIMARS rockets, and 2,628 fixed-wing drones," the ministry said.

    Destroyed equipment

"Over the past week, strike drones, missile forces, and artillery units of the Russian military have destroyed a Croatian-made RAK-SA-12 multiple rocket launcher, two Grad MLRS vehicles, and two Buk-M1 air defense missile systems," the report stated.

    Retaliatory attacks

Russian forces have carried out one massive strike and five group strikes against Ukrainian defense industry facilities. "In response to Ukraine’s attacks on civilian targets in our country, the Russian military launched one massive and five group strikes using high-precision long-range weapons, including land-, air-, and sea-based systems, as well as strike drones, resulting in the destruction of enterprises of Ukraine’s defense industry, as well as energy, transport, and port infrastructure used by the Ukrainian army, and sites for the assembly, storage, and launch of strike drones and unmanned boats," the report noted.

The ministry added that temporary deployment sites of Ukrainian armed formations and foreign mercenaries were also targeted.

    Russian army expanding foothold

Russian troops have taken control of six settlements in the special military operation zone, while four others have been completely liberated, the Russian Defense Ministry reported.

It specified that the army took control of the settlements of Pokalyanoye, Bochkovo, and Zemlyanki in the Kharkov Region, as well as Korchakovka, Novodmitrovka, and Taratutino in the Sumy Region. The settlements of Ilyichovka, Ilyinovka, Novodmitrovka, and Novoaleksandrovka in the Donetsk People’s Republic have been liberated.

Ukrainian commander reveals drone defense hit-rate- 30 April

Most of Kiev's 300 anti-drone units have not registered a single kill, according to the man responsible for their deployment.

More than half of Ukraine's drone-interceptor crews haven't been able to take down a single Russian UAV over an entire year, a senior Ukrainian air force commander has revealed. The disclosure comes amid Kiev's push to market its anti-drone expertise to Gulf nations and the US in its war against Iran.

In an interview with Ukrainskaya Pravda published on Wednesday, Colonel Pavel Elizarov, deputy commander of Ukraine's Air Force, stated that of the 300 interceptor crews under his command, 66 shot down more than 10 Russian Geran drones while 170 failed to hit a single one. In one region, 24 out of 28 crews recorded zero eliminations over the same period, he said.

Elizarov, a former television producer, also described systemic mismanagement in Ukraine's low-altitude air defenses that has persisted for years. Radar stations were regularly placed wherever operators felt like standing, he stated, while regional commands treated drones that passed through their territory without striking as a success.

The colonel also admitted that Ukraine's drone logistics still follow an outdated delivery model, creating chronic mismatches where some units possess drones but no control stations while others have stations and warehouses full of unused aircraft.

"Unfortunately, we have lost our drone advantage. With what we had in 2022-2023, we could have done key things," Elizarov told the outlet.

The admissions come as Ukraine's Vladimir Zelensky has been offering to provide the US and Gulf states with Ukraine's supposed expertise in defending against Iranian drones. He is also engulfed in an expanding graft expose involving his closest associates and the Firepoint company. Once a casting agency it now boasts a billion dollar drone-production capacity Zelensky is also promoting internationally.

Last month, he stated that some 200 Ukrainian specialists had been deployed across five countries, with Kiev later claiming its forces had shot down Iranian Shaheds in several Gulf states.

Kiev has reportedly signed defense agreements with Saudi Arabia, Qatar and the UAE, which are estimated to be worth billions of dollars, according to the New York Times.

Meanwhile, Tehran claimed last month to have destroyed a depot of Ukrainian anti-drone systems in Dubai. Farhad Ibragimov, a Middle East expert at Russia's Financial University, told RT the strikes were likely meant as a warning that Ukrainian assets would become "legitimate targets" if Kiev continued its involvement in the US-Israeli war against Iran.

    Alexander Mercouris

The CNN and Financial Times reports of the Kremlin worrying about a coup - of which there is no sign - and CNN's admission that 'hoping' for Russia's internal collapse is the West's only 'strategy' for winning the Ukraine war shows just how desperate the West has become.

Betting everything on internal collapse in Russia is not a 'strategy'. It is a confession of strategic and moral bankruptcy, sacrificing a nation (Ukraine) whilst holding out for a miracle.

That miracle will not come. Russia is politically and economically stable and its army is advancing. That is the reality.

It is beyond time for these fantasies to be abandoned and for serious negotiations with the Russians to begin. Further delay compounds the disaster. Of course for that to happen there needs to be an honest debate, which in the West - and especially in Europe - it is now all but impossible to do.

    All discussed in today's video

And still they claim that Estonia is harassing Russians who live in Estonia. If that was true none of that would be allowed. Or they would go across the river to Russia but somehow nobody wants to go there although Putin has called Russians to return to Russia several times. Do they like to be harassed or is there no harassment?
Before the war with Ukraine it was rather opposite , people from Russia wanted to migrate to Estonia not other way around . Why escape from paradise into hell ?

True that Estonia is transitioning schools to be in Estonian language only. Plenty of schools still exist that teach only in Russian.
USA has millions of people that speak Spanish . How many schools are there that teach everything only in Spanish ? Aint that discrimination against Mexicans that they can't go to schools that only teach in Spanish?
People should learn the language of the country where they live in instead of trying to convert the country into their language.

Yet I don't see anybody crying that Russia is doing the same or even worse to minorities living in their territories .

While Russian is the primary language of instruction for most students, schools in Russia utilize about 39 different languages for teaching in minority regions and offer foreign language instruction (primarily English) in most schools. Although 239 languages and dialects are spoken, only about 1% of pupils study in a non-Russian language school, a significant decrease from previous years.Key details regarding language instruction in Russia:Minority/Native Language Schools: In ethnic regions, schools may teach subjects in native languages like Tatar, Bashkir, Chechen, or Yakut. These "national schools" often teach in local languages but are increasingly limited to 1–2 hours weekly or used in primary education.

Pray that the Euro and Ukraine fascist elements observe this, or it looks like there might be hell to pay. No, it's not a fake or a bluff.

In accordance with the decision of Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, a ceasefire is declared on 8–9 May 2026 in honour of the celebration of the Victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War.

We expect the Ukrainian side to follow this example.

At the same time, we have taken note of the statement made by the head of the Kiev regime in Yerevan at the European Political Community Summit, which contains threats to strike Moscow on 9 May.

The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation will take all necessary measures to ensure the security of the festive events.

Should the Kiev regime attempt to carry out its criminal plans aimed at disrupting the celebration of the 81st anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation will launch a retaliatory, massive missile strike on the centre of Kiev.

Despite the capabilities at its disposal, Russia has previously refrained from such actions for humanitarian reasons.

We warn the civilian population of Kiev and the staff of foreign diplomatic missions to leave the city in a timely manner.

" We warn the civilian population of Kiev and the staff of foreign diplomatic missions to leave the city in a timely manner."

This is for bloodthirsty fanboys who want to make a show out of war. Here is for your consideration. That will be a demonstration (if it comes to it) of what will happen then to Paris or London, or Berlin, which is long overdue for stone rearrangement. I am talking about conventional strikes.

We've tended to (rightly) focus on information that counters the blatant Western media spin on what's going on with, as best we can with what's available, an objective documentation of genuine Russian progress in the ground war in Novorossiya (former eastern Ukraine) and in the border regions, but there are pockets where Kiev forces are having some successes, although realistically insufficient to alter the inevitable likely outcome.

An interesting report here from Rybar in English while ostensibly pro-Russian, akin to AMK Mapping which is ostensibly pro-Ukrainian, tries to present information as accurately and objectively as possible. I was surprised to see that the AFU/Kiev forces actually seem to still have some effective air cover here:

    ____________________________________
    AFU attacks in the south

In the West Zaporizhia direction, new evidence emerged of deteriorating conditions in the coastal zone of the former Kakhovka reservoir.

According to objective control footage, the enemy is setting up positions already in the south of Primorske. Previously, most of the village represented a "gray zone" with high activity of small groups.

After a series of counterattacks, Ukrainian formations not only held the northern outskirts of Stepnohirsk, but also expanded their control zone along the line.

AFU aviation is working on Russian Armed Forces positions in the ruins of the southern multi-story quarter, which adds difficulties in holding positions. Ukrainian formations continue to enjoy an advantage in the quantity and types of drones employed.

Signs of the Russian Armed Forces correcting their mistakes are not yet observed, so the situation clearly shows a tendency to deteriorate. Especially since the enemy clearly will not abandon the opportunity to restore the status quo from the beginning of 2025 by pushing the Russian Armed Forces back to their original positions.

The AFU has every opportunity to develop their own offensive toward Vasylivka, and possibly further, to the Mikhailivka—Tokmak line. Incorrect assessment of the situation and misconceptions about the Russian Armed Forces control zone could prove very costly, especially amid complications in logistics due to the growing number of drone strikes on communications at distances of 30 kilometers and beyond.

North Korea's Kim praises soldiers who committed suicide to evade capture in Ukraine

SEOUL, April 29 (Reuters) - North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has praised soldiers who committed suicide while fighting against Ukrainian forces in Russia's Kursk region, confirming an extreme battle policy.

North ‌Korea sent an estimated 14,000 troops to fight with Russian forces in Kursk region. South Korean, Ukrainian and Western officials said they suffered heavy casualties with more than 6,000 North Korean soldiers killed in the fighting.

Mounting evidence, including from intelligence reports and testimonies of defectors, has indicated that North Korean soldiers resorted to self-detonation or other forms of suicide rather than be captured.

In a speech addressing Russian officials and bereaved families at a completion ceremony for a memorial honouring North Korean soldiers, Kim mentioned for the first time the lengths to which they had gone, praising them as "heroes", according to a transcript published by North Korean ‌state media KCNA on Monday.

"It is not only the heroes who unhesitatingly chose the path of self-destruction and suicide to defend great honor, but also those who fell while charging at the forefront of assault battles," he said. Kim said those who survived were also patriots.

"Those who writhed in frustration at failing to fulfil their duty as soldiers rather than suffering the agony of their bodies being torn apart by bullets and shells — these too can be called the party's loyal warriors and patriots," he said.

In return for sending troops and munitions, Pyongyang has received economic and military technology assistance from Russia, according to South Korean intelligence assessments.

I saw one interview with North-Korean soldier who was captured by Ukrainians.
He was very upset that he got captured alive because his family might now end up in forced labor camps because of it ..
I tried to look for the video but can't find it. Could have been propaganda from Ukraine but at the same time that's how things go in North-Korea . Traitors will be sent to labor camps with their whole family ..
If your orders are to fight or die but instead you surrender... Not good .

Found one story about captured Koreans. One of them supposedly chew through his veins and managed to kill himself that way.
It's a messed up world that we live in.
