"In November 2021, an Iraqi-Italian restoration team working in the basement storage of the Iraq Museum in Baghdad opened a wooden crate marked Tell al-Hiba, 1968 season, unclassified material. Tell al-Hiba is the modern name for the ancient Sumerian city of Lagash, one of the largest urban centers of the third millennium BCE. The 1968 excavations were interrupted by political crisis, the materials shipped to Baghdad, the crates sealed and placed in a basement where they survived three wars, the 2003 looting, and the flooding of the lower levels in 2015. De Gregorio photographed the tablet and sent the images to Iraqi State Board of Antiquities epigraphist Ali al-Hashimi, who began preliminary transliteration that same evening.

I cannot vouch for its authenticity, but this video provides a logical explanation for the existence of a mysterious Sumerian underground city.
...Although the length of time that the people were required to remain underground varies greatly from present day estimates regarding the outcome of an imminent disaster of the same origin, that being the regularly occurring natural, disastrous solar cycle that periodically culminates in a micronova, though there may not have been a micronova that time.
There is no explanation given as to how it was known beforehand that a disaster was forthcoming which would require living underground in order to survive, although it is stated that it was known a similar disaster had occurred previously.
According to this narrative, the atmosphere remained toxic from radioactivity for a long time, producing similar, fatal symptoms of acute radioactive exposure as those that were suffered by victims of the Hiroshima & Nagasaki bombings.
So the solar cycle would seem to be the logical source, as it was not attributed to any kind of weaponry, but to a natural event that had occurred before.
If this is true, it may portend an even more difficult struggle for present day Preppers than has been envisioned thus far.
But it explains why the residents of the underground Sumerian city remained underground for 3 generations.
The tablet says it was 3 months before anyone in the underground city went above to see if it was safe, but it was not at all safe, it was deadly, with luminous dust covering everything.
The second video below describes a period of darkness which could have been caused by what Ben Davidson describes as cosmic dust and debris that enters Earth's atmosphere when the ozone layer and magnetic field have been greatly diminished by a geomagnetic pole reversal/solar cycle such as the planet is undergoing now, but is still in the early stages.
It appears to be describing more of the aftermath of what occurred at the same time as the first video. )
