Let us not forget the underground cities in Turkey ...


What I have always found confusing is that such underground cities would take a lot of labour and time to construct ... all while fending off marauding invaders? Perhaps people used existing underground cities as protection against invaders?

How about considering a ruling class that cared about the survival of their people, and had worked out through long observation of the heavens and possibly even ancient scrolls an inevitable catastrophe was heading their way. They set about building a survival shelter. Consider US 'dumbs', they were not built solely for nuclear concerns - I feel anyway.

Finally, I wouldn't pay too much attention to marauding bands of Muslim invaders.

Yes Ewan -- these "shelters" took too long to build and too much effort for this to be a short term shelter.
The sumerian texts predicted from the study of the stars that certain things were/are cyclic -- a civilization that could predict -- intese solar flares --severe weather conditions could well have buit these undergrounfacilites to shelter thousand of the population from extreem longlasting conditions --
We are heading for massive changes as warned by some of the sumerian tablets as pointed too in some of the videos recently poste -- a bit long they are but some "gems " in them.
I put my hands upp "I dont know where any of this is going" interesting stories or real -- who knows.
