"Following intensive talks, we are pleased to announce that the Peace Deal between the United States of America and Islamic Republic of Iran has been REACHED. Both sides have declared the immediate and permanent termination of military operations on all fronts, including in Lebanon.

The official signing ceremony will be on Friday, 19 June in Switzerland.

We would like to thank the United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Iran for their commitment to finding a diplomatic solution to the conflict. We would also like to extend our sincere appreciation to our brothers in this mediation effort, the great leadership of State of Qatar, for their support in reaching this agreement. I would also especially thank the visionary leadership of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Republic of Türkiye for their immense contributions in this regard.

With the agreement now in place, mediators will facilitate a series of meetings this week. These pre-implementation discussions will lay the foundation for the technical talks and the official signing ceremony."

I have to say, if these are indeed the 14 points to be formally agreed, it's a little hard to believe that the US and/or Israel will accept them, or abide by them. These are all huge concessions to Iran.

Mehr News in Iran has released a short version of the 14-clauses of the MoU that will be signed on Friday, between Iran & US.

1. The permanent and immediate halt of war on all fronts, including Lebanon.

2. A U.S. commitment not to interfere in Iran’s internal affairs and to respect the sovereignty of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

3. The complete lifting of the naval blockade within 30 days.

4. A U.S. commitment to withdraw its forces from the areas surrounding Iran.

5. The reopening of the Strait of Hormuz within 30 days under Iranian “arrangements”.

6. The suspension of oil sanctions, petrochemical products and derivatives, and Iran’s full access to the financial proceeds from them.

7. The requirement for the US & its allies to present reconstruction plans for Iran worth at least $300 billion.

8. Sixty days of negotiations to reach a final agreement based on nuclear issues and the complete lifting of primary and secondary U.S. sanctions, as well as UN Security Council resolutions and resolutions of the IAEA Board of Governors.

9. Iran’s reiteration of its commitment under the NPT not to produce nuclear weapons.

10. During the negotiation period, the U.S. has committed not to add to its forces in the region and not to impose any new sanctions.

11. The release of $24 billion of Iran’s frozen funds during the 60-day period of final negotiations. Half of this amount must be made available to Iran before the negotiations begin.

12. The formation of a supervisory mechanism to implement the agreement.

13. The final agreement will be approved through a UN Security Council resolution.

14. Final negotiations will not begin before half of Iran’s frozen funds are released, Iran’s oil sanctions are suspended, and the naval blockade is lifted. The final agreement will be limited only to the fate of enriched materials and enrichment, sanctions relief, and the program for rebuilding Iran’s economy. Discussions about Iran’s missile program and support for Resistance groups have been definitively removed from the agenda.

ADDED: Plus the document is supposed to be signed next Friday....Hell, by next Friday the US, Israel, and Iran, can derail this "Plan" several times over!

In my opinion, this document will be shredded in to a million pieces by next Friday and nothing will be signed....

I don't know. The PM of Pakistan seems like a pretty serious guy, and the statement came from his official account. That a deal was reached has been confirmed. So good news—even if it only lasts a day or two—is still better than nothing.

But, yeah, there's the other factor that may screw it up: Israel. Israeli "settlers" have already continued burning villages, ostensibly to demonstrate that support for the deal is nonexistent.

We can be sure that Trump's sharp drop in the polls, combined with the approaching midterms, has added urgency to making a deal. At the same time, Netanyahu has reiterated his intention to continue pursuing his Greater Israel project, including his Side Ambition of the Month—absorbing Lebanon.

We can only pray that Trump grows a big enough nut to weigh down his foot and finally put it down where Israel is concerned. But with bills proposed in Congress* expanding intel-sharing and deepening military and tech integration between the U.S. and Israel, it kind of seems unlikely. I can hear it now: "We'd do something about Israel, but now that our intelligence services and militaries are intertwined with our greatest ally, we're kinda screwed."

*S. 4615 and Section 224 of the FY 2027 NDAA would expand intelligence-sharing and deepen military and defense-technology integration between the U.S. and Israel. If those pass, we are seriously screwed.

No way. Call me skeptical, but there's no deal possible when Trump & Netanyahu are involved. The Pakistanis, Iranians, Russians, etc. may be well-meaning but they're being fooled if they think there's a deal. The USA-Israel axis will never stop attacking Iran and Lebanon. They'll run out of weapons before they stop.

Why in the world wait until Friday to sign this deal anyway? Doesn't make sense. It's a set up.

Here's what's been set up. The deal isn't official until signed 5-6 days from now. Meanwhile Israel will continue bombing Lebanon and massacring Palestinians. They'll even ramp up their extermination spree to the hilt and destroy as much as they can. Trump will make a show of his disapproval of Netanyahu's carnage, and will also tell Iran to not retaliate against Israel, to just wait until Friday, the official signature day. But by then Lebanon will be so damaged as to be non-recoverable. Or something like that.

By now the Iranians should know that they're dealing with the most devious and malevolent criminals on the planet, i.e. Trump and Netanyahu. These two will pull the rug from under the Iranians' feet at the first opportunity. You'll see. The Iranians should never ever believe anything they say.

From what I understand so far this is only a Memorandum of Understanding which is legally quite distinct from any formal treaty. I expect that while the Football (Soccer) World Cup is going on, which Iran are participating in, for PR purposes may be a 'reason' this has been drafted now; this same competition takes place while USA celebrates 250 years of existence: we'll see what takes place when Iran get knocked out of the competition.

Benjamin Netanyahu's political existence, the avoidance of imprisonment, and the Greater Israel project upon which he is umbilically conjoined will proceed regardless the memo.

I agree: those concessions given the current climate seem impossible they'll be respected

One of the key aspects of this is that if Israel declares it will not be a party to the agreement, then so be it: if Israel attacks Lebanon or Iran, Iran will retaliate, and if the agreement is signed and the US adheres to it, the US will NOT come to Israel's aid.

In an effort to navigate President Donald Trump’s erratic behavior during the indirect negotiations aimed at ending the war, Iran’s negotiating team enlisted the help of psychiatric professionals to develop an assessment of the U.S. president’s mental condition and to assist Iranian negotiators in crafting messages passed to Trump by regional mediators.

“We added two senior psychologists to the negotiations’ advisory circle so that we can shape messages intended for President Trump from the perspective of managing what we regard as psychopathic behavior pattern,” an Iranian official told Drop Site. He said the psychologists began assisting Iranian negotiators following the initial round of bilateral talks in Islamabad in April as the two sides began exchanging proposed terms for a potential Memorandum of Understanding.

“[Trump’s] reactions have improved noticeably since we began incorporating the recommendations of these advisers into our messages and written communications,” said the official, who was not authorized to speak publicly.

“Because the exchanged texts will ultimately become part of the historical record, we conduct our negotiations in a manner that ensures the relative weight and sophistication of each party’s negotiating techniques will be evident should these communications be made public in the years ahead,” the official added.

The Washington Post recently reported that 22 medical specialists examined Trump as part of his latest checkup, saying it was “nearly double the number of specialists who assessed Trump for his past medical checkups as president.” The report added that this “represents the most medical specialists to assess a president for a single visit.”

On Sunday night, Trump and Iran announced that they had reached a preliminary agreement for a Memorandum of Understanding, to be signed in Geneva, Switzerland on June 19.

This depends on the goals of the US and/or Israel decision makers.

Some of them likely want to destroy Iran, and some likely want to liberate Iran from being a covert antagonist in the globalist "security" (security of their globalist wealth) architecture.

If asked to wager which way either of Israel or the US will go on this, I'd take my usual tack, and decline the opportunity to wager. However if forced, I'd wager that Israel will oppose this deal (keep fighting, likely), while the US will support this deal, albeit with anti-Trump talking heads getting ample time on main stream media to disparage this deal.

If Israel does not somehow sabotage this deal, then I would for once gladly place a wager: that "Bibi" Netanyahu's political goose is as good as cooked.
