Default The self may not be what we think it is

    https://newsletter.martingeddes.com/...-what-we-think

A potential category error at the core of inquiry into human experience.

    Excerpt:
"Over the last few years I have been studying how disciplines, institutions, and symbolic systems become detached from reality, and how that breach can be repaired. In the process, a more general inquiry has emerged into the conditions under which reality gets a say at all—ideally before collapse overtakes hallucination.

Whether the object is a telecoms network, a military intelligence backchannel, or an unintelligible court document, the underlying questions remain surprisingly consistent:"

Self replicating as many selves . Self projecting countless multifunctional selves as intelligent operational functions that help to "solve reality problems"..

Key: There are more problems to address than number of humans . No matter what they claim at Tesla many diverse forms of selves are still needed to solve problems.

Once a particular problem is resolved completely ( example would be "eradication of small pox) the particular "research self" can retire , it can pick another function.
But until the "problem" is alive in broader reality the self ( function ) that is temporary such as being a parent or other human responsibility can not die ,
even if it dies there is need for replacement . As each self is unique and endowed with individual function it may get impossible to "replace" one unique function or self by another .

Most societies exist due to multi - functional self to self reliability of its members , families, clubs, job organisations all depend , rise and fall , on intelligence of its members.

Even though almost every society has people with strong "social self" function who can act as therapist , ombudsman or teacher to many different selves.

Functions of the "self" are infinite because it's intelligence is fluid rather than static.

It is proverbially "faster than the blink of an eye, subtle than the subtlest, further than the furthest and nearer than the nearest .
Even while we can observe those many subtle functions when they "hit the ground" of reality flow, the way reality reacts , folding or resisting the function , resulting in better or worse human experience is about "how far" can advanced human science reach,
basically down to neural impulses, information exchange, electroshocks or for the "hard nuts", synchronising their selves with computers.

I can imagine a future without the pain of education and need to cheat at exams when we will be eventually able to "sync" a microchip and biochip and read data straight from a "dot" of quantum colloid nanocarbons containing "the content of Wikipedia , the Google Servers" etc.

and WE WILL , HENCE ON, CARRY SELVES around differently from where we do now.

The functional intelligence of selves can be improved to near perfection

unfortunately the problem of MEMORY function has not been sorted
and we are still receiving most of our education with "whip and carrot",
that is too much effort for little result .

For now billions of people rely on their computer devices and smartphones as memory banks, calculators , prophetic tools, and tools of improvement.
Withdrawing them out of sudden much of the world and it's Self would leave many people bewildered or speechless.

And yet , all of the complex function exists in ourselves whether we are able to access it or not, its own natural time DID NOT COME.

It would take SUPER FUNCTIONAL SELVES to either destroy, restart this world or create new ones.

We all have that potential in our selves.

In this age, most of us quite like historical people, are forced to minimise our selves, our functions, potentials, downsize our functions due to the pressing numbers of competitors ,
billions of freshly awakened , new born selves most of whom aspire to solve some problems.

I don't care where our naught mothers and grandmother's were with it in my age ,
I'm still eager to know and practice everyday and that's because reality Universe is infinite.

So even if I forget half of everything as usually the rest can ...restart civilisation .

    Thank you

My friend here on forum , Incider used to say :"There are only two types of people . Those who can read binary and those who can't ".

Eventually , the greater Reality that echoes the tides , waves and transformations of Universe bombards us with quantum bits of information at all times.

That's how people sat in meditation for ages, doing nothing, just listening to the whispers of soul against the roar of space .

Eventually all the quidbits align in a sequence and "make sense" or not. Our individual processing capacity is limited, we are small in size and unfairly powerless against "mother nature" should any of our selves happened to be left here alone , all to them selves as some secretly hoped for now overpowered by crowds of like-minded souls
who too wanted to be genuinely left Alone, in themselves.

"We are the Sequence. We are the sequence of Causes and Consequences..".

How intriguing that Even the most complicated "mandelbrot set of information" translates to simple chain of commands in the 3D human world.

The "Central Brain"( Self ) of this era of human civilization is overloaded with uncorrelated 4D data in need of processing.

In the dark sanctuary of Central Intelligence of Digital Humanity,

the command RUN prompted eternal DASH of little mouse at the beginning of the first computer .

But I'm almost sure there is a way to rewrite it all .
