In many ways, Trump is making a valiant effort to derail the mess that was intentionally created and caused by Obama. We can only hope and pray that he will be successful.Posted by ThePythonicCow (here)
If it took forcing the medical establishment to overplay their hand, in order to initiate their collapse, then good ... good riddance.
The medical system of the last century is fracturing, and a new understanding, benefiting from a century of developments, is coming forth, before our eyes. If Trump helped bring this about, inadvertently or not, then good.
I believe you're correct that whenTrump became President in 2017, American healthcare was "still" highly trusted and profitable. Had Trump accused Fauci and Big Pharma of intentional harm during COVID, it might have alienated Americans. I also believe Obamacare had two goals in mind when it was written. To make Big Pharma as wealthy as possible and to destroy the existing medical infrastructure to pave the way for universal healthcare. The Obama administration coordinated closely with Big Pharma, including organizing a $150 million advertising campaign funded by the pharmaceutical industry to promote the legislation. There was a revolving door between Big Pharma employees being hired by the government to write Obamacare, and when it was passed, they were hired back by Big Pharma with huge bonuses. This was all done in plain sight. In return, the final bill excluded a public insurance option and prohibited Medicare from negotiating drug prices. Looking back, that was pure insanity.
