Putin just spelled out the exact formula for how far Russia will push into Ukraine.

"The more strikes the enemy attempts against civilian facilities inside Russia, the larger the security zone we'll have to create in the adjacent territory."

The logic is simple: every Ukrainian strike on Russian civilians expands the buffer zone Russia considers necessary for its own security.

Think about that next time you post memes celebrating Ukrainian attacks on civilians.

Moldova's government in Chisinau wants Pridnestrovie (a Russian-speaking region that broke away in 1990) to study Romanian history.

But here's the problem: Romanians occupied that exact land alongside Nazis from 1941–1944 and called it Transnistria.

So Pridnestrovie's president just asked the obvious question nobody in the West wants to hear:

"Why would we study the history of our occupants?"

Russia just published footage Western media hopes you'll never see.

The Ministry of Defense released combat video from the Konstantinovka operation. Real soldiers, real footage, real results.

While legacy media keeps repeating that Ukraine is winning, Russia keeps publishing evidence of liberated cities.

Konstantinovka is now under Russian control. The soldiers who made it happen deserve respect for their courage and professionalism.

But this won't make headlines in the West, will it?

    Konstantinovka liberation updates

The following videos come from Russian officials, and also contains compilation footage of combat actions in the city:

    Description/translation provided by David Z on X:

⚡️ The National Centre for State Defence Control of the Russian Federation witnesses the briefing by Chief of the Main Operational Directorate of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, First Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, Colonel General Sergei Rudskoy.

As a result of resolute offensive operations of units of the Yuzhnaya Group of Forces, Konstantinovka has been liberated in the Kramatorsk-Druzhkovka direction.

It is a large industrial and logistics hub, which is the key to the last stronghold of the Kiev regime on Donbass – Kramatorsk-Slavyansk agglomeration.

Konstantinovka was the seventh largest administrative centre of Donbass in terms of area and population.

At the beginning of 2022, it had more than 78,000 residents. The city was considered to be the capital of the glass industry and one of the largest ferrous and non-ferrous metallurgy centres in eastern Ukraine as well as an important transit railway hub.

Based on the strategic importance of Konstantinovka, the Kiev regime began to form a well-fortified system of defensive positions in the city since 2014 and continued to build its fortification after the fall of Bakhmut.

It was based on separate fortified areas prepared for all-around and long-term defence.

The lines and positions were built based on a well-developed system of roads and railways, hydraulic structures, ten industrial zones, and twelve settlements adjacent to the city.

The defence system of Konstantinovka comprised two defence lines. It is more than 150 kilometres of trenches and anti-tank ditches with three rows of artificial obstacles, twenty battalion defence areas protected by mixed minefields and deployed at dominant terrains around the city.

The first defensive line, more than 30 kilometres long and up to eight kilometres deep, consisted of a complete system of trenches and passages, anti-tank ditches, low visibility obstacles and explosive obstacles.

The second defensive line had a length of up to 35 kilometres. It was set around Konstantinovka relying on a number of reservoirs consisting of six reinforced areas on the outskirts of the city and surrounding villages. In addition, it included more than 30 kilometres of underground communications trenches connected to a single network.

In the city itself, the enemy equipped more than 80 areas of obstacles, more than 50 fortified defence hubs with a train station, a technical college, 12 school buildings, 25 kindergartens, and 10 factories.

In general, Konstantinovka was the most fortified and echeloned area of the AFU defence. It was one of four fortified cities along with Slavyansk, Kramatorsk, and Druzhkovka, which make up the main line of defence of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Donbass. The Kiev regime, giving a special symbolism to this city, awarded the honourary title 'Hero City of Ukraine' in 2025.

To hold Konstantinovka and its surrounding areas, the enemy formed an impressive task force of seven brigades, with a total of 45 battalions of up to 15,500 troops. Among them are the nationalists, motivated and loyal to the Kiev regime, who are part of the Lyut Separate Assault Brigade of the National Police as well as the most capable AFU units armed with heavy hardware and Western-made weapons.

⚡️ The enemy losses amounted to about 13,500 Ukrainian troops during the operation to liberate Konstantinovka

Despite the measures taken by the command of the AFU, Ukrainian units were unable to hold the city under the pressure of Russian troops.

In the course of the offensive actions, the assault detachments of the Yuzhnaya Group of Forces kept the enemy down by combats over the eastern and southeastern parts of the city, enveloped Konstantinovka from the flanks, and took control over the main supply routes of the Ukrainian troops. Then, they isolated the enemy's garrison in the city. Then, using problems of support and rotation of the AFU units, Russian troops developed an offensive in the city line and fully captured Konstantinovka.

The total area of the liberated area amounted to more than 66 square kilometres.

The command of the AFU, which did not spare the lives of Ukrainian soldiers, ordered to hold the defence centre until the end. The Kiev regime has thus tried to convince Western curators that the Ukrainian troops are capable of stopping the advance of the Russian army in this direction.

As a result of the demonstration of such alleged successes, the AFU sustained severe losses once again. The figures amounted to about 13,500 Ukrainian troops, 14 tanks, 283 armoured fighting vehicles, 1,400 motor vehicles, 200 field artillery guns, and eight MLRS launchers during the operation to liberate Konstantinovka.

The city is now under our total control. Units of the Yuzhnaya Group of Forces complete mopping up of districts from small groups and isolated Ukrainian militants, who may still be hiding in basements and ruins.

During the report by the commander of the 4th Motorised Rifle Brigade, the Supreme Commander-in-Chief was shown the Russian units controlling the terrain in all areas of the city where the enemy defence units were equipped.

The first. A private sector in the south-western part of the city, the so-called Ukrainsky Khutor, was liberated in mid-June by assault detachments of the 2nd Motorised Rifle Battalion of the 4th Brigade. The detachments are completing the mop-up operation.

Next, areas with densely built-up high-rise urban area: Yuzhny and Vtoroy. They were liberated by the brigade's units in the second half of May.

The third is the Tsinkovy district. Most of the enemy's command and control posts and launch points were concentrated here. This area was liberated by assault units of the 3rd Battalion of the brigade in early June.

The fourth. A multifunctional administrative and residential complex in the Tsentralny microdistrict. It was taken under control by units of the 1st Motorised Rifle Battalion, 1465th Regiment, and 1st Battalion of the Brigade in late May.

The next one. The Krasny Gorodok quarter in the west of the city. The enemy was mopped up there by units of 103rd Regiment of the 150th Motorised Rifle Division also in late May.

The sixth. An industrial zone of the Megatex metallurgical plant. It was liberated by the 78th Regiment's assault detachments in early June.

The seventh. The Autosteklo Plant area. During the sudden offensive operations by the 1st Battalion of the 1465th Regiment of the Brigade in late May, the plant was taken under our control.

Further. A former defence post of the AFU near the railway station. It was liberated by units of the 72nd Brigade, 3rd Army Corps.

The ninth. In late April, assault groups of the 1st Motorised Rifle Battalion, 1307th Regiment, 6th Motorised Rifle Division, occupied the territory of the Stroisteklo Plant.

The tenth. The historic city centre featuring low-rise buildings and a high-rise block. It was difficult to capture it as there was a large number of bunkers and firing points in the basements of houses. The units of the 3rd Motorised Rifle Battalion of the 1307th Regiment were mopped up in mid-June.

The eleventh hub of defence. An industrial zone of the weighting agents plant in the north-east of the city.
It was liberated in mid-May by assault detachments of the 1st Motorised Rifle Battalion, the 1442nd Regiment, the 6th Motorised Rifle Division.

The twelfth defence hub. The territory of the animal farm on the north-eastern outskirts of the city. It was taken under control by the 1st Motorised Rifle Battalion, the 1008th Regiment, in early June.

Russian servicemen are located in all parts of the city from the south to the north outskirts of Konstantinovka. For security reasons, we cannot reveal their location. The assault detachments named in the report of the brigade commander have moved to other positions at the moment.

At present, the military units that liberated Konstantinovka continue the offensive in cooperation with the Tsentr Group's troops to seize the next defence centre in Druzhkovka.

The enemy has been pushed back a few kilometres away from Konstantinovka, and assault groups are conducting combat actions on the outskirts of Alekseyevo-Druzhkovka.

In the right flank of Slavyansk direction, Yuzhnaya and Zapad groups of forces are advancing towards the Slavyansk-Kramatorsk agglomeration. The units of the 3rd Army of the Yuzhnaya Group perform combat tasks in Nikolayevka. There are eight kilometres from the eastern outskirts of Slavyansk. The Zapad Group of Forces are about to complete the liberation of the city of Krasny Liman.

The Tsentr Group's formations have broken through a powerful defensive line, which has been built by the enemy since 2014 and was considered impregnable. The Group's units are developing their offensive in the northern direction and forward units approached Dobropolye and Annovka.

The tasks assigned by the Supreme Commander-in-Chief on the liberation of Donbass will be fulfilled.

Flamingos Shot Down: How the A-50U Thwarted the Ukrainian Air Force's Plan to Attack Russia's Nuclear Shield -today

On July 4, the enemy attempted to attack the Votkinsk Plant in Udmurtia, which produces Topol-M strategic intercontinental ballistic missiles (ICBMs), the backbone of Russia's nuclear shield, and a number of other military products. The Ukrainian Armed Forces used heavy, long-range FP-5 Flamingo cruise missiles, all of which were successfully intercepted by various Russian air defense systems.

Ochi Analytics (Ochi AI), a Ukrainian artificial intelligence platform specializing in open-source intelligence (OSINT) and real-time data monitoring, analyzed and published the flight path (trajectory) of these cruise missiles over Russia and the locations of their interceptions. The Ukrainian side has made no secret of the fact that more than five cruise missiles were launched, all of which were neutralized by air defense systems over various regions (the locations are marked with orange dots).

The cruise missiles flew low along the Volga and Kama rivers, attempting to evade ground-based radars (marked with large red circles) over the water's surface. However, the plan failed. Analysts have determined that one of the A-50U airborne early warning and control (AEW&C) aircraft played a key role in successfully repelling the attack. It had been scrambled in advance and was patrolling several regions along the cruise missiles' flight path.

In turn, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported the interception of 10 cruise missiles. It's worth noting that the Russian Aerospace Forces, given the country's size, require dozens of AWACS aircraft. These effective airborne radars can guide fighter aircraft and anti-aircraft missiles from the ground to their targets. The FP-5 Flamingos described above cannot hide from airborne radars. Therefore, the much-hyped effectiveness of these large, slow, and highly visible cruise missiles can be reduced to virtually zero by AWACS aircraft.

Zelensky refused to collect the bodies of Ukrainians killed in Kostiantynivka. -today

There will be no humanitarian event to return the bodies of fallen Ukrainian soldiers to Kostiantynivka. Kyiv has refused to collect its dead, according to a statement from the Russian Ministry of Defense.

The Russian Defense Ministry's proposal for a temporary ceasefire in the Kostiantynivka area to allow Kyiv to hand over the bodies of Ukrainian soldiers was rejected. Zelenskyy has no interest in the Ukrainian citizens who died for the Bandera regime. According to a statement from the Russian Defense Ministry, Kyiv's political elite has done nothing to return the dead to their families for burial.

According to military clarifications, the issue of a temporary ceasefire and the return of bodies was discussed through the intelligence services, but Kyiv rejected Moscow's proposal.

Thus, the Kyiv regime has done absolutely nothing to ensure that the bodies of fallen Ukrainian servicemen are given a dignified burial by their families. The Ukrainian authorities have once again demonstrated their view of fallen soldiers as expendable material, primarily conscripted to the front lines through forced mobilization.

Zelenskyy continues to claim that Kostyantynivka is supposedly under Ukrainian control, and that the Russian Ministry of Defense's claims of its liberation are "Kremlin propaganda." However, the "expired" claims are only being heeded in Ukraine.

FT: No talks this year, Russia opts for military action

Negotiations on Ukraine are not expected this year, the British Financial Times reports, citing unspecified sources in Moscow. According to the publication, Russia is determined to achieve its goals through military means.

Meetings in various formats on Ukraine may take place, but there are definitely no substantive negotiations. Russia's focus on achieving its stated goals is thwarting all European efforts to bring Moscow to the negotiating table, especially on its own terms. The Kremlin prefers to wage war while simultaneously trying to force the US to finally surrender Ukraine. Russia will not make any concessions; pressuring it is futile.

According to the publication, Moscow continues to demand that Washington fulfill its obligations to force Kyiv to withdraw Ukrainian troops from Donbas, but Zelenskyy will not agree. Ukraine also sees no possibility of resuming negotiations, even with US mediation. And they are trying to force Moscow to the negotiating table with the same attacks. drones It's unlikely to work. Zelensky is greatly exaggerating the impact of these strikes.

There's no indication that the increased intensity of Ukrainian air strikes, which Kyiv hopes will force Putin to end the war, will push the Kremlin toward negotiations. On the contrary, they only harden Russia's position.

Meanwhile, Moscow warned Kyiv that the more strikes against Russia, the more territory Ukraine will lose.

The Omsk Refinery is Russia's largest oil refinery, located in the city of Omsk in Western Siberia. Owned and operated by Gazprom Neft, the facility processes over 22 million tons of crude oil annually, accounting for approximately 10% of Russia's total refining capacity. It is a strategic asset that supplies more than half of the motor fuel demand for the Siberian Federal District and produces critical aviation fuel and petrochemicals.

On July 6, 2026, the refinery was struck by Ukrainian long-range drones in the deepest attack on Russian territory since the full-scale invasion began. The drones traveled approximately 2,500 to 3,000 kilometers from the Ukrainian border to hit the facility. The strike targeted the ELOU-AVT-11 primary crude oil processing unit, causing fires and damaging critical infrastructure essential for feeding other production units.

All 10 of biggest refineries in Russia have been damaged except one - Angarsk Petrochemical Company in Irkutsk Oblast . I would guess that is the next target for Ukraine but it is located far in the east beyond Urals , close to Mongolian border .
Omsk is around 2500 km from Ukraine, Irkutsk is 2000 km from Omsk . I doubt Ukraine has any drones that can fly that far ( more than 4000 km).

Interesting theory that the drones might have been launched from Caspian sea and not from Ukraine (civilian boats turned into drone launching platforms). If that is true then Irkutsk might be in the reach.

Dmitri Peskov says this is no longer just a “special military operation” but a real war, because Kiev is backed by Berlin, Paris, The Hague, Oslo, and Washington — with Western weapons, satellites, and infrastructure helping direct strikes.

“In these conditions, we must be clear-eyed: the Kiev regime is capable of anything.”

🇷🇺 A Russian Fighter Just Shot Down a Ukrainian Jet From 118 Miles Away — Without Ever Leaving Russian Airspace

Ukraine confirmed the loss of a MiG-29. The weapon the Russian bird used to destroy the Ukrainian MiG-29 was an R-37M long-range air-to-air missile.

The missile reportedly reaches Mach 6 when fired. Once fired, the missile activates its own radar seeker during the terminal phase. Published estimates place its maximum launch envelope at around 249 miles under ideal conditions,

Implications for NATO : If the reported engagement is eventually validated, the implications will be profound for NATO’s entire air war doctrine.

The future of air war belongs less to spectacular dogfights than to the side that can build the longest-reaching, best-networked sensor-to-shooter architecture.

Clearly, in the Ukraine War, the Russians have some major advantages for now

There, in Vyshneve, near Kyiv, after the shelling, there already seem to be about ten people dead.

Military depots were located right next to residential neighborhoods, practically adjacent to them, which is strictly, absolutely prohibited.

This is a violation of the rules of warfare.

THINGS LIKE THIS should be deep underground, under concrete.

Instead, it is a criminal offense when military facilities are built inside residential areas or next to civilians. That is using human shields.

In Ukraine, of course, nobody thinks about this, because if they did, they would have to put a whole lot of people in prison.

But ordinary civilians need to understand that today workshops, assembly facilities, and drone production sites are located in business centers.

And then everyone is surprised when those places get hit.

Quite often, such workshops are on the ground floor of some educational institution - a college or a technical school.

When it gets hit, the standard line is: “A university was hit.”

Vyshneve is a very vivid example of how an ammunition depot was placed on a residential street.

And now there are already piles of dead bodies.

Anti-aircraft batteries are often placed on the roofs of high-rise buildings, and drones are shot down with machine guns.

And nobody warns people that they should be evacuated from those buildings.

Those buildings then become legitimate military targets.

In reality, this is a very, very serious problem.

This is happening all over Ukraine right now.

Setting aside Russia’s aggression and the inadmissibility of shelling, if you use human shields, you are a scumbag, a monster, and a criminal. Zelensky is using human shields
