I'm curious, is anyone marking this milestone day? Attending any events? Have any special plans at all? I haven't seen much traffic on the forum regarding this special Independence Day. Judging by some of the sentiments in this thread, maybe not everyone is in the mood to celebrate.

I ask, what does it mean to be American? What does it mean to be American today? What does it mean on the 250th Anniversary of the country? And what does it mean when you look back on the principles on which the country was founded, the idea that was the United States of America at its birth, compared to what it has become in the 21st century?

Whatever the case, from your cousins across the pond, we salute you.

As a third generation American, this day has an emotional edginess for me. Yesterday, I was unusually tired for most of the day. I assume this was me experiencing the collective consciousness of many Americans, who work hard and then feel exhausted when everyone slows down together for the big holiday. Then last night I was quite emotional, with thoughts and imagery associated with my grieving over the death of a favorite pet rabbit, which strong grieving had been delayed for four years. I again realized quickly that the holiday emotionality was triggering this.

I subscribe to the print newspaper Epoch Times, which I understand is now the fourth most popular newspaper in America. This paper was created, I believe, by Hong Kong Chinese dissidents, Falun Gong members, who are extremely grateful to be in America, such a free country compared to the rest of the world. This newspaper glorifies American freedom, and Western heritage in general.

I am super grateful for being a woman who can experience the kind of personal growth, and spiritual freedom, that my ancestors could never experience in Europe or anywhere else. I cannot fathom how America's founding fathers ever came together to create this experiment in freedom the likes of which are still rare on this planet.

Not really marking this milestone day. From another perspective 25o years is really young in the scheme of many much older areas across the globe. Not attending any events. No special plans. Not really in the mood, to be honest.

What does it mean to be an American? I had more lofty ideas in my youth as a young sailor. I saw parts of the world. I said back then if there wasn't an America, I would find myself in Australia [visited twice]. I loved it there but at the time it would be second best because America was so awesome. But we do not know what we do not know especially in our youth.

Around 2o17 I was practicing a little with an electric violin. I could play Amazing Grace and a couple other simple tunes. I played on the sidewalk in the downtown area for about a couple hours one early evening and collected $13 dollars [dinner] and a business card to a music store in my open violin case. Another time the VFW [veterans of foreign wars] was selling burgers and hot dogs at the local grocery store. So I asked the manager of the store if I could play my violin outside. He gave me permission. So I set up just a little bit farther away from the cook out so as to attract a little attention but not be a bother. [Boy was I wrong on this day.]

I set up my violin and small amp and plugged in and started playing. Cars driving by slowed down and watched me play. A VFW member stormed over to my position. He was the commander of that section and a vietnam vet. He stood in front of me and screamed at me to stop playing. I kindly paused and mentioned I had permission from the store manager and started playing again. He screamed at me some more "YOU WILL STAND DOWN!" I mean spitting in my face. I stopped again and told him I had permission. This all happened in front of God and everybody. So he stormed off and brought back the manager. The manager reneged on his permission. So I calmly stopped playing and collected my belongings and put them in my car. I was enraged inside. This is america.

I took my VFW Life Member hat out of my car and walked over to the commander. He kind of just looked at me. I handed it to him. He had no idea I was a veteran or qualified for VFW membership - he had no idea how many american Veteran's funerals I attended to perform gun salutes. I didn't say anything and walked away. I would never attend another VFW meeting after that day.

What I really learned is america is bullsh!t. Not just because of that day; but it certainly didn't help. America has this teflon-like feature where it gets away with murder at its own expense.

The feeling you get when you see the real america beyond the facade of greatness is plainly just sad. With all this liberty, 'so called' america really doesn't know what to do with it [and liberty was at a premium most times in american history].

So while some people might think 'merica - here's to 25o years. I wonder how long the facade will really last. Trump says the world respects his new america. I don't think that is all the way true.

And I do not mean to dwell but I will never forget.

This means that more people strive and succeed in the US than anywhere else. And it's increasingly obvious. You remain stunningly more innovative and productive than any people anywhere else on the planet.

And so I say, as all should who are fortunate enough to live in the western world, let alone America:

Thank God for the United States.

Thank God for the wisdom of its founders.
Thank God for its faith in the free market and in the natural rights of man.
Happy birthday, you damn Yankees and Southerners.

Long may your admirable country dominate the world.

Long may your freedom and hope provide an example to those suffering everywhere at the hands of their malevolent states.

May your two and a half centuries of unparalleled success be just the beginning.

I’ve been thinking about what the 4th means this year here in America on the 250th Anniversary and it’s a bit perplexing to be sure. I’d almost liken it to the Project Avalon forum itself. In the beginning everyone was inspired and fired up to participate in what was to be The Great Awakening which was almost palpable before and after the 2012 milestone which was supposed to be a metaphorical boarding of the mothership at last, so to speak, a worldwide spiritual awakening, as everyone could feel something brewing with all the new inspired material and whistleblower revelations concerning the nature of our universe and the subversive and covert military projects messing with the nature of our universe. People were receiving over 300 likes for new threads back then. Minds were on fire. It was a truly inspiring time and though I wasn’t a PA member yet I was definitely participating on my own level.

Yet all those gifted minds have gone their own way at this point and no longer, or very rarely, participate. When I ponder the reasons why I usually come to the conclusion that they’re continuing their journey on a more personal and internal level, maybe realizing that it’s a spiritual battle and when you boil it right down it’s a battle we must all fight ourselves. I know many left for many different reasons which we don’t need to dwell upon here but they’re still venturing upon their quest, in their own personal way.

For me this directly correlates to the spirit surrounding 250 this year. When Trump first got elected it was an exciting time, calling out the fake news, the Weiner laptop and Pizzagate emails, the Q info, it really felt like we were getting somewhere and things were going to change for the better, and that right soon. I enjoyed believing there were White Hats out there getting ready to lock up the worldwide criminal syndicate who’d been stealing our children for decades. Again, it was an exciting time and people were expecting real change. But then Trump began lining his cabinet with the worst of the worst and no one got locked up, not even Hillary!

Move forward to this election and for all intents and purposes he appeared to pick some real quality individuals this time, people many of us trusted to get the job done. What happens? Very little if anything. Doge and others uncover fraud on a massive scale and no one goes to jail, Trump reneges on “No new wars,” and suddenly he’s pals with the likes of Lindsey Graham and turning on MTG, Tucker, and anyone holding firm to his maga campaign promises and ideals.

Again, the popular inspiration and energy seems to have died away to be replaced by a more personal introspection, a returning from the external battle taking place on our screens to the old personal spiritual battle taking place within. We see their plans to destroy America playing out around us, their plans for authoritarian control through a surveillance state and realize we must fight it every way possible in our own personal worlds, in our own cities and small towns, from rejecting medical mandates and unjust laws to refusing to comply with the digital currency end game they continue to roll out as we focus on their many distractions like complete genocide, and we realize that is their plan for America too.

I agree wholeheartedly with all the previous statements from Arcturian’s feeling of gratefulness to Jack’s disdain and frustration and even Peterson’s praise for the great American experiment. They’re all valid. And they all need to be carefully weighed and examined at this Anniversary moment. It feels as if the majority are experiencing this in this uncertain time in America’s history.

Our neighbors always shoot off fireworks and we can see those from the center of town too so we had a very small gathering of immediate family and enjoyed the warm night air. It stays light till after 10pm here in the North and has been very hot lately so it was an enjoyable evening here at home.

Don’t know if this has been shared on the forum yet but a pretty decent AI job that kinda sums things up. Favorite lines: “Somebody said a storm was coming but it’s been a long long time,” and, “So tell me is it gonna be free energy forever or just the same damn old grind?”
