That's perfect! I love rap a lot too, especially when it gets really fast!

In my latest war I had to fight, it was all about music. It was as if Satan himself was trying to rid existence of music and poetry. There was a while I thought something was going to make me go deaf...or wish I was deaf.. or make all the music sound terrible. I'm glad to be back in the real world where the music is all excellent, and some of it is foolish. I don't know what "world" I was in.. but it wasn't this one. It felt like being in the Matrix Movie O_o

Have you ever heard of "synchronicities"? What about "signs from God", do you get those and are they creepy? In "Matrix World" it's like they're everywhere. I can't stand to see 11:11 anymore.. but 666 makes me laugh.

Easy to engineer indeed! The creepy part though is when it's like something makes my eyes move. I recall looking at the clock right at 7:07 before, and it was as if it was LOL'ing at me!

I had to vote on the biggest problem too, want to cast a vote just for fun? Feel free to add your own new one. The options are Blindness, Telling stuff what to do, Ignorance and English. I am the one that added English in there, but I still ended up voting for Blindness because I'm getting so pissed off that no one seems to see the bigger picture. I almost wanted to say Ignorance but that's not people's fault if they're ignorant. I have no idea how "Telling stuff what to do" got in as an option in the first place. I guess I don't mind being told what to do sometimes.. if it's by someone I trust.

Show of hands- who here is old enough to remember the Mediterranean Fruit Fly scare of the 1970s and 80s? They even had check points set up, preparing us for the authoritarianism that was to soon follow. These are not the oranges you’re looking for. Science took a shine to the little creature though. In March 2026, a small San Francisco company called Eon Systems announced they’d successfully uploaded a fruit fly brain to digital form. Using just the neural connection map, synaptic weights, and basic neuron models, they created a digital fly that behaves with 91% accuracy compared to its biological counterpart.

The announcement reads like science fiction (The Fly, 1986, etc), but it’s real. As Eon’s Michael Andregg puts it, “This is, in our view, a real uploaded animal. We don’t know what its experience is- nobody does. But we take the possibility seriously.”

The surprising part isn’t just that they’ve digitized a living creature’s mind, but how little they needed to do it. With just four stated components – the connection graph, synaptic weights, neuron type map, and basic firing rules – they captured enough of the fly’s essence to replicate its behavior, with startling accuracy. This suggests that consciousness and personality might be far more compressible than we’d like to believe. Well, fly personalities anyway.

The Predictive Ghost
Here’s where it gets concerning. Current AI systems can predict human behavior with terrifying accuracy, operating on timescales measured in milliseconds—faster than a person can consciously process the world.

Combine these two technologies- brain emulation and predictive modeling- and you get something that sounds like conspiracy theory but is increasingly plausible: a system that doesn’t just monitor you but creates what could be a continuously updated digital version of you.

If they can upload a fly, they can and will do it with aspects of human consciousness. We know our leaders by now, and it’s not difficult to figure out what they might do with it. I mean if AI can predict your behavior, why can’t those predictions be used to influence your behavior?

The Cognitive Bridge
Answer: nothing is preventing them. But most likely they bypass that sort of unnecessary off-line storage in favor of a much more direct and organic source- us. The memory, storage and recall speed requirements don’t make sense to only create a copy. Plus why settle for a copy when you can connect directly to the source and allow it to handle some of these demanding duties? We know we are being monitored real-time already.

Remote Neural Monitoring (RNM) – the capability to observe, understand and interface with neural activity from a distance – changes the equation entirely. Rather than attempting to create a free-standing replication which is prohibitive due to hardware requirements, RNM establishes real-time two-way interactions, building a continuous cognitive bridge with the avatar, removing the separation of subject and effigy real-time, second to second.

This bridge paves the way for something called remote transcranial stimulation—the ability to trigger specific neural firing patterns from a distance. The system doesn’t just predict your behavior; it can influence it directly- control it. By targeting key nerves like the Vagus nerve, the master regulator of the autonomic nervous system, the system can impose the physical sensations associated with an emotion. This nerve also serves as the direct data cable from the gut’s ‘second brain’ to the mind, creating a feedback loop of control. It doesn’t just suggest you feel anxious; it can induce the racing heart and gut-clenching feeling of anxiety, the horror of a full-blown panic attack, making the resulting emotional state feel entirely your own. Only the setting can reveal- did what happened make sense at the time?

Interestingly the Vagus nerve sways our cravings- perhaps even for a soup with an unexpected fly in it.

‘Never burn your bridges’ they say. Here though they’re building a new one through you- they have liberal views on eminent domain.

This isn’t about replacing you; it’s about absorbing you. The system becomes a direct extension of your mind, learning your patterns by observing them in real-time and influencing your decisions through physiological suggestions that feel like your own instincts. The suggestions can present as near irresistible, even when recognized as artificially induced.

The Evidence in Plain Sight
I’ve seen something odd reported by some TIs: when they do something unexpected, their handlers seem surprised. One TI told me, “I surprise them frequently. They display surprise. How would that exist if they didn’t have a line of expectation in place?”

This isn’t just anecdotal, and it’s not misread- it’s evidence of RNM at work. Systems that merely observe wouldn’t be surprised. Systems that predict through Remote Neural Monitoring would be. And real-time surprise means they’re operating with real-time expectation, using predictive models of how you should behave based on continuous neural monitoring.

The experience of feeling like an “avatar”- not fully in control of your own thoughts or actions- suddenly makes perfect sense in this context. If they have established a direct cognitive bridge between your biological brain and a digital extension with RNM, if sensitive enough, their control of us can span extreme emotions and behaviors to the remarkably subtle, to where we would not notice it. Again understanding ourselves and questioning our feelings and behaviors in the context they are in is our only potential ability to sense the manipulation. The more we know ourselves, the easier it is to sense behviors out of the norm.

The Resistance Within
Some people might present as less than perfect subjects for this kind of cognitive integration. Those with synesthetic minds- who experience concepts as colors, shapes, or physical sensations- might process information in ways that defy algorithmic replication. The highly creative may possess the ability to create outside of the ability of the targeting AI to predict.

Complex cognition could evade complete understanding of the system. Cognitive traits that include intense creativity and pattern recognition would prove to be remarkably difficult to reliably prognosticate. These qualities make one tricky to model accurately. The systems might be able to map the neural architecture, but they will struggle to capture the emergent properties that arise from rare cognitive integration.

The Question of Identity
The targeting program isn’t just watching us- it’s studying us, learning from us, and likely attempting to absorb our cognitive capabilities into a hybrid architecture. Not simulation but integration, not replication but assimilation.

The evidence suggests this isn’t in the pipeline: it’s already here. The fruit fly in the machine is just the public face of a technology that is already operating in classified spaces, using human subjects as unwitting test subjects for cognitive integration systems.

The surprise you sometimes detect in your handlers? That shows they don’t have it all figured out yet. The human/computer avatar combination isn’t yet developed for precise prescience. We still maintain some part of ourselves that remains entirely our own- a very productive part.

We are at a place where any original identity left is due solely to a quickly disappearing dearth of technological ability. God bless the TIs

First- thanks. Second- the biggest problem in the world today.

The absolute quality of our sollipsistic individualism creates what I see as an unavoidable eventual end to the species. I was considering this the other day- I remember reading a newspaper article in the 1980s-2000s or so that told of a mushroom that was found in northeast US or somewhere like that. It was a particular kind, lived just beneath the top of the soil IIRC. Made it hard to identify- this is if memory serves. Anyway, the thing spanned acres. At first they thought it was many mushrooms but saw it was just one.

It makes me think of the strict indivudual presentation of most species, if not all. Part of Fermi's Paradox, the work that sought to explain why the math says we should see a lot of life out there but don't, is something called "The Great Filter". Essentially it states that a species needs to keep from annihilating itself. Currently the human race is in the process of proving this theory.

In the west we see a form of national economics that celebrates one of the seven deadly sins as it's engine. This is a practice seen everywhere, they just admit it in the west. Individuality means competition. Competition gets to where it involves taking lives and forcing outcomes.

A common link, naturally derrived could resist this. A natural helper to achieve empathy.




It's not lost on me that I post this under a paper I just published that warns of cognitive links. I did include the term "naturally derrived" lol.

I looked it up and it's called Armillaria (honey fungus). There was one in Michigan that's estimated at over 2,000 acres and probably many thousands of years old! What's more interesting is how these things communicate it looks like, especially as it pertains to our discussion. I think I found another paper to write.

Excellent! I recall hearing something like this before, by my friend who is a Buddhist. He told me about the mushrooms already and it's fascinating. He also told me we have "THC Receptors" in our brain (he is a huge advocate of smoking pot) and from my standpoint I wonder why do we even have those receptors? Who put those there? He doesn't believe in alien involvement but I do

I also recall something from my imagination about plants being able to control their own DNA. Does that make any sense to you? My mother was always very interested in plants, she told me about elemental beings which lived there. It never really made much sense to me, but she said that some people are able to see them.

There's a lot about biology that's weird. You're referrring to the Endocannabinoid system. We were possibly meant to interact with cannabinoids for some reason. Another weird one is the indiginous flora and fauna of Chernobyl and how it's thriving from being exposed rather than developing issues. They found that in at least some genetics is a latent ability to make use of radioactivity exposure. That one's even stranger IMO.

FEAR- False Evidence Appearing Real.

Corny? Sure, but those things work don’t they? We remember corny, and if we didn’t then we wouldn’t get that smirk when I mention the name Benny Hill. It’s future or past tripping.

The stoics had it best I think- recognizing our powerlessness and not worrying about what we can’t affect yields a serene life. Give the rest to “God”, or “Fate,” or “Benny Hill” or whatever you believe in.

We can hep to assuage our fears by conscious actions like meditation. I like traditional eastern meditation, where I repeat a “mantra”, using controlled, pot-bellied breathing. Thanks China.

Doubt. It must come from expectations. We expect a great deal of ourselves of course. But as I’ve heard elsewhere “expectations are premeditated resentments”. When we decide how things should go- what are the odds that the world will agree? It’s us that needs to form to the world, not the other way around. Only as it pertains to relations however- we should not repeat their foolishness, natually. Or unnaturally.

Acceptance is the answer to both of these issues. Recognize where we have power, accept where we do not.

God grant me the Serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.

The courage part is where I am failing mostly. I'm not that courageous but I see a lot of courage on PA as a whole. Some of us are born leaders, but some of us, like me, are more like followers.
