People all over the political spectrum are getting tired of the antics of people like Rep. Rashida Tlaib of Michigan. Every time the woman speaks, it’s a fire and brimstone diatribe about the evils of America.

She doesn’t talk like a member of congress. She sounds more like the unhinged leader of an invading force, threatening to take down the very country she claims to represent. Everyone is sick of it.

Actress and filmmaker Justine Bateman is not a conservative. If anything, she is a centrist, yet even she has had it with this. You will want to read what she wrote in response to Tlaib.

None of it is true. Not the fantasy about America about which she is shrieking, not her identity of believing herself to be some “hero” in a movie about an oppressive government, and not the resulting congress-free, senate-free, President-free, childish (and completely chaotic) future she sees for this country.

Not a retired Marine. He was medically discharged on May 3oth, 2o25 for conduct that directly violated his oath and inconsistent service values by stating in a video that Trump should be killed and that he was the anti-christ.

Also, he is a 'write in candidate' for Florida's 5th congressional district. Successful write in candidates are extremely rare.

This is the problem with X. It is able in the short term to pass data far and wide but at the expense of the data itself. This guy is going nowhere. This does not help the anti-trump movement and it doesn't help because whenever I see stuff like this I have to make a decision, do I look it up and get it right, or do I let it go and let the readers believe it? There are many things that get posted here by well respected posters that do not pass go and eventually it will catch up with them and their reputation will be at stake.

The original post did not have the facts right. That is my point. The sourcing after the fact is still suspect except for the verification from the Marine Corps. Which this person should have got a dishonorable discharge. He got a medical discharge likely from mental illness. And its likely he'll never carry the votes needed for the congressional seat. Any promotion of this guy is unsatisfactory.

And I am not going to check everything. But the point is the point. The original post was suspect. That is all.

I do not admire these types, no matter what religion they are spouting. Peaceful religions don't condone killing, and let their God handle justice as He sees fit.
And I would not want a marine defending a country who sees fit to take justice into his own hands.

I would hope both left and right adhere to this same viewpoint.

Leading with: 'A Retired Marine' paints a picture of someone who served for 2o or more years.

Enlisted retirement is 2o-3o years. Officers can serve well into their 6o's at flag rank.

This guy was a newly minted officer. The contrast between A Retired 'serviceperson' and a 'zero' which is what an enlisted might think of a newly minted officer that has low experience is a profound difference.

So the media is trying to paint a picture here of tenure that never happened in an effort to bolster the presentation based on the general public not really knowing some military things. <--- This is why I get bent out of shape about the media.

Trust but Verify means to check and honestly the amount of data is not really 'checkable'. I cannot keep up with the main stream nonsense, but if it were a team effort, then maybe. But this also means the poster bears some responsibility in the act of reposting the news. [I mean there should be.]

A former U.S. Marine who is now running as a write-in candidate for Congress in Florida is facing widespread condemnation after posting a lengthy video in which he declared that President Donald Trump “must be killed” while describing the commander-in-chief as the “anti-Christ.”

The disturbing remarks prompted an unusually swift public response from the U.S. Marine Corps, which made clear that William Upham’s rhetoric does not reflect the values of the Corps or the oath he once took.

William Upham posted a deeply disturbing six-minute video to his X account. As of the time of writing, the video remained available on his account.

Wearing his military uniform, the medically discharged former Marine First Lieutenant leveled the ultimate threat against the leader of the America First movement, declaring that President Trump “must be killed”.

He claimed he reached a “turning point” in his campaign after realizing “our country is broken” and that “we are led by a president who’s the enemy of God.”

Upham tied his hatred to President Trump’s recent criticism of Pope Leo XIV and an AI-generated image Trump posted depicting himself in a Jesus-like pose. “He is nothing like Jesus Christ,” Upham said.

The former Marine tried to cloak his call for assassination in religious language, claiming “we are at war with evil” and that “this is a war between God and the Antichrist.”

He ranted that “America is Babylon” and that “the Book of Revelation is occurring right now.”

He also stated that “violence should never be used for evil purposes such as vengeance or plunder” while simultaneously insisting the President “must be killed.”


This is the dangerous, unhinged rhetoric that has fueled a documented pattern of political violence and multiple assassination attempts against President Trump.

In a statement posted to X, the Marine Corps said: “The Marine Corps is aware of the disturbing statements made by William Upham, who was medically discharged on May 30, 2025. The comments made by Upham are a direct violation of the oath he swore to uphold and are not in keeping with the service’s values.”

Acting Secretary of the Navy Hung Cao was even more direct: “Unacceptable. William Upham is no longer a Marine and does not represent our values or ethos.”

Comment: We are a few hours away from President Trump's much-hyped Thursday speech. I'll be in bed when it begins at 4 am Greek time. However, I'm not excited. Trump is a figurehead, a mouthpiece, and divisive. I doubt that he would personally announce anything that could start a war. That sort of thing has to be approached cautiously; wake the people slowly, slowly, a little at a time.

So if you expect an announcement that "China (or whoever) has interfered in US elections and here's the proof," prepare for disappointment.

It'll probably be more about the mess that went down in Fulton Co. Georgia. Tulsi dove head first into that mess and I'm sure she gathered some mud to sling. Maduro's name may be mentioned....

Regardless, no one is ever held accountable for anything, so I'm not holding my breath.

Same goes for China, even if Trump mentions that China hand their hands in things, what exactly will be done about it? Nothing....
