    Glide-bomb figures

    -----------------------------------
The Ukrainian Air Force released their claimed figures for how many glide-bomb strikes they carried out on Russian positions during July.

According to them, approximately 300 sorties were carried out by the Ukrainian Air Force - an average of 9.7 per day. Because this is an official report, this is the maximum number possible. The true number will likely actually be lower as they have an incentive to lie.

In comparison, Russia launched over 8,300 glide-bombs in July, with an average of ~268 per day (as per the Ukrainian General Staff). The true number is likely slightly higher as this is also an official claim with an incentive to lie.

If we were to make a rough estimate of 2 glide-bombs per Ukrainian sortie, then it would give us an airstrike ratio of around 14:1 in favour of Russia. This has a large margin of error due to Ukraine's incentive to lie, and because Ukraine's numbers include sorties while Russia's include individual munitions.
    --------------------------------------------

I do have to state a little surprise that Kiev forces still have anything resembling a functional air force, but it would seem that they do have some materiel/hardware left

Natural consequences for Kiev: Odessa Port edition

Kiev just begged the empty suit that is the West to force Russia into reopening a sea corridor to Odessa. But the Black Sea runs on power not bad PR stunts.

After Zelensky’s self declared 40 day “influence operation” of terror drones slamming Russian civilian targets deep inside Russia, Ukraine’s acting foreign minister Andrii Sybiha is now crying to Moldova, Romania, Slovakia, Hungary and Poland that Moscow must be pressured into restoring Odessa’s maritime exports. How rich. Over 30 million tons of product risk being stranded, alternative land routes can handle maybe half the volume, and every idle day at Greater Odessa ports is costing Kiev roughly $70 million while the same ports have long doubled as logistics nodes for Western military supplies.

This is not a humanitarian plea. This is a regime that spent weeks trying to set Russia’s energy system on fire and commiting acts of terrorism against Russian civilians, then acts shocked when the Black Sea stops being a free delivery lane for its own exports and dual-use cargo. Sybiha rejects any “retaliation” framing and calls Russian strikes ironically “systematic terror” going back to 2022. Reality is simpler: you launch a public 40 day campaign of long-range drone strikes designed to create domestic pressure inside Russia, you hit energy infrastructure that keeps the Russian economy and war machine running, and you expect the other side to keep your ports and shipping lanes open out of goodwill.

What exactly are the empty suits in Brussels, Paris and Berlin supposed to do now? Hit Russia with an EU working group and letter of condemnation? Threaten more sanctions that Russia has already adapted to? Send more non-existent ATACMS and Storm Shadows so Kiev can keep escalating while Europe’s own industrial base continues to deindustrialize under the cost of this forever war? The “allies” Sybiha is appealing to cannot even guarantee their own energy security without Russian hydrocarbons or LNG from across the ocean at inflated prices. They certainly cannot open a sea corridor that Russia has decided is no longer available on the old terms.

Natural consequences are not “terror.” They are the predictable result of treating the Black Sea as a one way street for your own war and terror logistics while attempting to cripple the other side’s economy and fuel supplies. Kiev had years of a functioning corridor after the original grain deal collapsed. Now the ports that handle its maritime trade are effectively frozen, shipowners have walked away from the risk, and the regime is reduced to begging neighbors for overland scraps that will never match Odessa’s capacity.

The multipolar reality is that Russia is not required to subsidize the logistics of a regime that is actively trying to terrorize her people. Europe’s political class can keep performing Russophic hysteria for the cameras. The ships are not sailing. The grain is stacking up. And the bill for this particular round of escalation is landing exactly where it was always going to land. In geopolitics rhetoric backed only by hysteria and terrorist stunts has a shelf life. Logistics see what matters.

Update from AMK Mapping on overnight Russian attacks on Odessa Oblast

Not much video available at present but that's sure to trickle out.

    Source: https://x.com/AMK_Mapping_/status/2086297725533139187

    _____________________________

Last night, Russia carried out a large-scale, combined missile and drone attack on Odesa Oblast:

    The following was launched:

~4 Iskander-M ballistic missiles launched from OTRK installations northeast of Simferopol, Crimea.

~3 Iskander-M ballistic missiles launched from OTRK installations in western Crimea.

~4 Kh-31A supersonic cruise missiles launched from 2 Su-30 fighters near Sevastopol.

~2 P-800 Oniks supersonic cruise missiles launched from K-300P Bastion-P launcher(s) near Belbek Airbase, Crimea.

~4 Banderol jet-drones launched from Crimea.

    ~4 Geran-3/4 jet-drones launched from Crimea.

~50+ geran-2 drones launched from Crimea.

    -----------------------

    Total missiles launched:

    ~7 Iskander-M ballistic missiles
    ~4 Kh-31A supersonic cruise missiles
~2 P-800 Oniks supersonic cruise missiles.

    -----------------------

    Ukrainian air defence work:

None of the missiles were shot down. Some/most of the Banderol jet-drones and a portion of the Geran-2 drones were shot down.

    -----------------------

Exact targets for this attack are still being clarified, but its known that the following locations were hit:

    - The town of Mayaky (possibly the Mayaky Bridge) by ~3 Iskander-Ms.

    - The vicinity of Velykodolynske by ~2 Kh-31As.

    - Two different locations in Odesa by ~1 Iskander-M each.

    - The town of Kryzhanivka by ~2 Iskander-Ms and ~2 Kh-31As.

    - The vicinity of Nova Dofinivka by ~2 P-800 Oniks.

    -----------------------

Keep in mind, the numbers of missiles launched may be slightly higher than what I've listed, as the number of missiles detected is sometimes lower than actual launches. These numbers may be adjusted in the coming hours as more information comes available.

This was one of the largest single attacks on Odesa Oblast since the beginning of the war.

A reminder, via Eva Bartlett on recent statements made by retired Delta Force commander, Pete Blaber, recently shared more widely. As we know, MI-6, the US State Department/Pentagon/CIA, and Mossad already knows the actual reality, but your 'medias' are under instruction not to let you know the truer picture, a practice well perfected over at least a hundred years.

    Source: https://substack.com/@evakarenebartl...te/c-306641802

    ------------------------
"Former Delta Force commander Pete Blaber tells Americans the truth about the SMO.

'I have some contacts – one in the State Department, two in the intelligence community, and another friend who works there as a long-term contractor. We met in Los Angeles, and they told me everything, and I thought, "Damn." They asked, "Can you get this out?" And I said, "Yes, I feel it's my duty to voice it." Currently, according to their data, approximately 1.25 million Ukrainian soldiers have died. They've been losing about a thousand people a day, every day through 2025. Those are incredible numbers.'

'The main question from the start should be: why is there no coverage of the war in Ukraine? And I'll tell you why there isn't. Because if this is widely reported, the [Western] propaganda stories that are being spread will be exposed. In fact, in every city the Russians capture, they are greeted as liberators. People come out and celebrate when Russian troops arrive, telling stories of the harsh conditions they lived in due to the presence of the Ukrainian army in their city."

Eva also provides links to her exhaustive on-the-ground reporting:
I've certainly heard my share of such stories from civilians terrorized by Ukrainian forces and liberated by Russian forces, mostly in cities liberated in 2022, including in Mariupol in April 2022, but also civilians from Artyomovsk (Bakhmut) in 2023:

Oleksandr Dubinskyi, a political prisoner of the Gollum, again reminds us what's really happening here. He's a former Member of the Rada, so, as has been posted here before, very well placed indeed, to know.

And herein lies the deeper tragedy of all this:

    ---------
The worst part is that no one even hides it anymore: Ukraine has become the proxy and battering ram of an anti-Russia project, no matter what it costs Ukraine itself.

Zelenskyy is the leader of a private military company that took power and sells human lives to those behind this project to keep the war against Russia going.

No one cares about the result of the war or its economic consequences. No one cares how many people die or how much of the country is destroyed. The only goal of this private military company is to stay in power and keep control of the money that comes with it - through trading human lives and looting businesses that will eventually be destroyed anyway.

This is a classic neo-colonial model. A small group of comprador elites has hired itself out to foreign powers and is destroying its own country for their interests, in exchange for a relatively modest reward considering the larger goal: weakening Russia and its influence.

There is no "war of national liberation" here. There is no ideology and no ideals. Zelenskyy simply happened to get a population willing to endure almost anything.

And when those people are gone, whatever remains of the country will be repopulated by someone else, who will work with what is left of the economy. Then today's private military company will simply be replaced by a "Ukrainian East India Company."

Unfortunately, I see no other future for this country.

🇺🇦 Ukraine's Armed Forces Deliberately Commit Atrocities for Terrorist Purposes, Russian Foreign Ministry Denounces

🔊"The daily atrocities of the Kiev regime against the civilian population of different regions of Russia continue, causing victims, including children, women, and elderly people," declared Maria Zakharova, spokesperson for the Russian Foreign Ministry.

This is how she referred to the recent Ukrainian drone attacks on civilian facilities in Belgorod and Nizhnekamsk, carried out on August 9 and 10, respectively, which left dozens of victims, including minors.

🔊"The enemy carries out these attacks, which lack any military sense, deliberately for terrorist purposes," she added.

    📍Other statements from the diplomat:

🔶 The Russian Foreign Ministry strongly condemns the attacks by Ukrainian neo-Nazis.

🔶 All those responsible will be identified and receive severe punishment.

🔶 Moscow urges international organizations to firmly condemn the attacks.

🔶 Russia will consider the silence of the international community as a form of complicity and an incentive for new aggressions against the Russian population.

🇷🇺🕊Number of Dead Rises in Ukrainian Attack on Nizhnekamsk

The death toll from the Ukrainian attack on Nizhnekamsk facilities has risen to 13, including a minor, local authorities reported.

In turn, Rodion Miroshnik, the Russian Foreign Ministry's commissioner for Kiev's crimes, stated that the Kiev authorities aim to achieve a political effect through "the intimidation of the civilian population."

🔊 "A whole series of clearly terrorist acts is taking place. Literally, in just the last two days, in two incidents, the number of affected civilians has already exceeded 80 people. This involves an attack on Belgorod and another on Nizhnekamsk," he specified.

The nighttime attacks by the Ukrainian Armed Forces on the Russian city of Belgorod, carried out on the night of August 9, left at least six dead and 25 injured. As a result, dozens of residential buildings were damaged, two of which caught fire.

Russia destroyed seven electrical substations in the Odessa region overnight. -today

The Russian military launched a combined attack yesterday blow The Russian Ministry of Defense reported this, releasing footage of the strike, on Ukrainian energy infrastructure facilities in the Odessa region. The ministry explained that the attack disabled virtually the entire southern power hub.

"Yesterday, the Usatovo, Tsentrolit, Artsyz, Novoodesskaya, and Mayaki 330 kV substations, as well as the Belgorod-Dnestrovsky and Karolino-Bugaz 110 kV substations, were damaged. "

    - said in the statement of the RF Ministry of Defense.

Energy experts emphasize that the strike disrupted the energy bridge connecting Ukraine with Moldova and Romania. Kyiv estimated the damage from the attack at at least $70 million and has already appealed to the European Union for financial assistance.

As a reminder, the Russian Armed Forces launched systematic strikes in the Odesa region in response to the terrorist attacks carried out by Ukrainian Armed Forces militants against civilians in Russian regions. These combined attacks have almost completely halted agricultural exports.

Currently, the Russian Armed Forces continue to strike the region's infrastructure, hitting the enemy's logistics communications and energy facilities that operate in the interests of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

At the same time, analysts warn that in the near future, Russian troops may expand the range of targets they strike not only in the Odessa region, but also in other regions of Ukraine.

Until Kyiv becomes Russian, the war in Ukraine will continue indefinitely.

"The coward flees from the one who is more wicked than he; the weak are conquered by the strong: such is the origin of political law." Napoleon Bonaparte

They give to us, and we give to them. Better late than never.

Moscow, having experienced long lines at gas stations, finally found a way to respond to Kyiv. Locally, we demonstrated our real capabilities for defeating the enemy—and the results are immediately visible.

Shipowners are afraid to call at Ukrainian ports: no one is offering them safety guarantees. It is estimated that the bulk of Ukrainian exports and imports pass through the Black Sea, and daily losses from idling amount to tens of millions of dollars. Port capacity can still be restored, but the impact is significant.

The fuel crisis has now reached Ukraine: in recent weeks, hundreds of gas stations have reportedly been disabled, and oil and gas production facilities in the east of the country have been struck. An Iskander missile destroyed a train carrying Ukrainian Armed Forces equipment in the Dnipropetrovsk region, and warehouses and logistics centers have been hit. All this is true, although we don't yet know the full extent of the damage, including all its nuances.

Our society doesn't crave tit-for-tat retribution. No one wants us to retaliate for attacks on beaches by attacking beaches. But a strike on the military infrastructure involved in the attack on the beach in Gelendzhik would be justified by both the laws of conscience and the laws of war. According to available information, during the attack drone Seven vacationers were killed and 58 people were injured.

Photo: attack on Gelendzhik, screenshot from Kuban TV and Radio Company's report

The problem is that our strikes were too late. For years, we were reacting, not proactive. According to Reuters, Russia merely suspended its own shipping through the Azov-Don Canal after Ukraine's attacks in mid-July—in other words, it was defending itself, not attacking preemptively. The strike on the Moscow Oil Refinery, which triggered the gasoline crisis, occurred on June 18—and how many oil refineries had been attacked before that? In the second half of May, the Ukrainian Armed Forces sharply increased their strikes. drones along the R-280 "Novorossiya" highway, which connects the mainland with Crimea, the tourist season in Crimea has been effectively disrupted.

Russian society is tired. It's tired of the endless campaign, the strikes on civilian targets, the hopelessness of Kursk and Belgorod, and the problems in Crimea, where they don't allow anyone to relax or live a normal life. Ukrainian Armed Forces drones are already visible in the Moscow region. And there's no end in sight, and the targets of the Joint Military District are as far away as the sky.

But the picture on TV is different: we take populated areas, destroy their equipment, and win. But we need to take not strongholds, but cities and regions—like in 2022. According to one theory, this very scenario was being planned by a section of the elite back in 2014: to keep the Ukrainian issue at a standstill, and to make society tired and lose faith in victory. This theory is debatable, but it explains a lot.

It is clear that this was a Russian drone attempting to blow up weapons destined for Ukraine to be used against the Russians, but if NATO were forced to admit this fact, then they would have to take some sort of action. So, the policy seems to be - see no evil, hear no evil and speak no evil.

In Germany, a combat drone almost blew up a Ukrainian ammunition carrier

In Germany, a combat drone almost blew up a Ukrainian ammunition carrier. For some reason, Russia has not yet been accused.

An entire cargo plane with ammunition for Ukraine almost blew up in Leipzig, Sddeutsche Zeitung reports. A drone with NATO explosives was found next to the aircraft. It is known that the drone was spotted around midnight. He hovered at a low altitude right among the Ukrainian planes, and then, as stated in the police report, there was a "contact" with one of the airport employees, after which the UAV fell to the ground. It didn't explode, but it caused a lot of noise.

On the same night, another mysterious object damaged the tail on board the DHL. The German Interior Ministry has already called the incident an "unprecedented hybrid threat." The drone, by the way, is not from the market – individual assembly, enhanced battery, protection from electronic warfare and tracking systems. That is, it was not launched from someone's balcony, but it was done by someone with serious resources and a very specific goal – to undermine a Ukrainian aircraft with ammunition from France.

The most amazing thing about this story is that no one has accused Russia yet. Perhaps for the first time in a long time, German investigators decided to figure it out first, rather than pinning labels on Moscow. Did the story of the Nord Stream really teach you something?

As usual, the quick pointing finger at Russia, any time something like a mysterious drone with explosives being found near a Ukrainian cargo plain in Leipzig Airport, ends up being something drastically different.

German investigators found DNA traces that lead to the same people on trial in Lithuania who sent incendiary devices across Europe, one of which was found in the arson attack on a DHL logistics center last year.

Yes, here's the video footage, accompanied with a brief note via AMK Mapping:
A Ukrainian MiG-29 crashed in Odesa Oblast today, while trying to shoot down Russian drones. The Ukrainian Air Force claimed that a “non-standard situation” occurred as the aircraft launched an air-to-air missile towards a Russian drone, causing the pilot to lose control. The pilot reportedly attempted to save the aircraft, but was eventually forced to eject. He is currently being medically treated.

    Concerning Russian ballistic missile stocks

    Source: https://x.com/AMK_Mapping_/status/2087046332787970294

    ---
In a recent interview, Deputy Chief of Ukraine’s Defence Intelligence Major General Vadym Skibitskyi made a series of interesting claims about Russian missile and drone production rates.

According to him, Russia is producing the following missiles at these rates:

    - Iskander-M ballistic missile: 65 missiles in July (exceeding the set target of 60 by 108%)
    - Kh-101 cruise missile: 87 missiles in July (exceeding the set target of 72 by 140%).
    - Kalibr cruise missile: 29 missiles in July (exceeding the set target of 26 by 111%). Most of these are reportedly being allocated to reserve stockpiles other fleets rather than for attacks on Ukraine.
    - Zircon hypersonic cruise missile: 33 missiles during the first 7 months of 2026 (average of 4.7 per month).
    - Oniks supersonic cruise missile: 60 missiles during the first 7 months of 2026 (average of 8.6 per month).

Additionally, he claimed that Russia has suspended production of Kinzhal hypersonic aeroballistic missiles and Kh-32 supersonic cruise missiles due to their extremely low accuracy, and are instead focusing on increasing production of Iskander-M ballistic missiles. (This would explain why Russia has not launched any Kinzhals for multiple months, and very few Kh-32s).

He also stated that Russia aims to produce a record 11,000 Geran-2, Geran-3, Geran-4, Geran-5, Garpiya, and Gerbera, drones during August. Russia reportedly reduced the production rate of Geran-2s to focus on producing Geran-4 and Geran-5 jet-drones, which consisted of around 50% of all drones used in a recent large-scale attack.

Furthermore, he claimed that Russia's planned production rates for RM-48U modified S-400 ballistic missiles is 40 units for August, which recently entered mass production. The production rate of Kh-35 supersonic cruise missiles was reportedly exceeded by 200% so far this year.

    On the situation in/near Konstantinovka

More sensible objectivity from AMK Mapping here, with some salient takeaways:

    ---
The situation in Kostyantynivka has recently resulted in a lot of conflicting and contradictory claims being made in the information space. I managed to clarify the situation based on a mix of open and closed sources, in a process that has taken me several weeks.

Before I get into the main details, I would like to preface this with a few points for people to read, as I know there are a lot of people who will only read the first few sentences and leave an uninformed comment accusing me of being a propagandist for either Russia or Ukraine.

    These points are:

    1. No map in this area is correct.
    2. Both the Russian and Ukrainian maps of Kostyantynivka are very misleading and exaggerated - the truth lies somewhere in the middle.
    3. Russia does not control Kostyantynivka.
    4. Ukraine does not control Kostyantynivka.
    5. Russia controls most of Kostyantynivka.
    6. There is a very large grey-zone due to a lack of soldiers present on both sides on the frontline (caused by heavy drone usage). This grey-zone extends from northern Kostyantynivka up to Oleksijevo-Druzhkivka, and outwards to the surrounding fields

Now with that out of the way, I would like to outline what information I have managed to gather and personally confirm over the last several weeks.

The current situation is as follows. Russian forces militarily control the main part of Kostyantynivka, including the northeastern, eastern, southern, and western suburbs, and are actively fighting for the remaining northern and northwestern districts. Fighting is also ongoing for areas north and northwest of the city, where the grey-zone extends to.

Ukrainian forces remain present in insignificant numbers throughout the main part of the city. Their presence is not strong enough for me to mark it as a contested zone, as Russia can move largely freely throughout the city towards the main zone of fighting (their main concern is drones rather than these scattered Ukrainian soldiers). This is similar to the scale of Russia's presence within Oleksijevo-Druzhkivka, which Ukraine also militarily holds control over (except for the outskirts). Russia has long had drone operator positions in the inner industrial zones, and is working to fully consolidate its control over the rest of the city.

The most active fighting is still concentrated in the northwestern and northern parts of the city. In parts of these districts, Ukrainian soldiers are still more numerous than Russians, however the Russians are present in high enough numbers for it to be considered a grey-zone. The balance is slowly but surely tipping in Russia's favour in these last districts, but is not yet progressed enough for it to be considered under their control, let alone consolidated. Russian artillery and MLRS continues to heavily target the outer-most streets of Kostyantynivka, as well as the villages of Osykove, Stinky, Izhevka, and the town of Oleksijevo-Druzhkivka, in between infiltration operations. Ukrainian artillery, MLRS and airstrikes does the same for the central, northern, and western districts.

Ukrainian forces are still trying to enter Kostyantynivka in groups of 2 and 3, infiltrating through the streets of Oleksijevo-Druzhkivka, along the railway line, and through treelines. Russia does the same, moving in the opposite direction. Neither side can prevent these infiltrations due to a lack of soldiers present on both sides on the frontline, which is caused by heavy drone activity preventing any meaningful accumulations from occurring. This creates a very chaotic situation, with assault groups from either side are operating as detached and sometimes independent groups, without flanking support, while sitting in overlapping and intermingled positions under heavy drone and artillery fire. This grey-zone continues to expand, now encompassing large areas throughout northwestern/northern Kostyantynivka, Osykove, and the surrounding fields.

Most soldiers in this large grey-zone are being resupplied by UAVs and ground-drones. Both sides are actively trying to intercept the other's UAVs and strike ground-drones to cut off logistics. Ukrainian ground logistics is currently in a worse situation than Russia's, with almost any movement from Druzhkivka instantly detected by Russian drones, and subsequently struck. FPV drones are also constantly striking Ukrainian logistics in Kramatorsk, as well as Ukrainian drone operators throughout this sector. Russia suffers similar issues with logistics from Bakhmut and Toretsk, but not nearly to the same scale as Ukraine.

Once Ukraine fully withdraws from the salient west of Chasiv Yar and the Mykolaipillya area, Russia will find consolidation in the remaining districts of Kostyantynivka much more easy, and we will see the main focus of the battles properly shift up to Oleksijevo-Druzhkivka. Russian soldiers are already being detected in larger and larger accumulations in the main part of Kostyantynivka as they further cement their presence, which could suggest they intend to launch a large-scale attack on this area in the coming weeks.

Overall, the situation remains chaotic, but the "fog of war" has lifted somewhat. I reiterate: Russia does not fully control Kostyantynivka, and battles are still ongoing in some of the outer districts. But the situation for Ukraine is very bad, and Russia firmly has the upper hand. Maps like Deepstate are extremely far behind, and only serve to prolong the battle in the information space. Russian maps are also very misleading, and only serve to exaggerate Russian progress for propaganda purposes.

As I've said before, the side with the upper hand (in this case, Russia) tends to exaggerate information, while the side in the worse position (in this case, Ukraine) tends to fabricate information.
