In part 2 of the session with Chris Bledsoe (TBA) we’ll cover:
    • Why he believes that the Bible is full of references to UFOs.
    • The meaning of the encounters he has with ‘The Lady’ and her connection to spirituality.
    • He’ll explain how in 2012 he wrote down the information he received about the war with Iran that started this year.
    • We'll ask him about UFOs shutting down nuclear missile facilities.
    • What are the larger messages.

What if UFOs aren't extraterrestrials at all, but something far more profound?

In this episode of Mayim Bialik's Breakdown, Chris Bledsoe (UFO experiencer known for his remarkable story of contact with unexplained phenomena, author of UFO of GOD) shares the full story behind his alleged contact with nonhuman intelligence, an encounter that transformed his life forever.

After years of financial collapse, debilitating Crohn's disease, and personal despair, Chris claims he witnessed mysterious fireballs in the sky before being taken aboard a glowing "orb" or Tic Tac-shaped UAP. What began as a strange sighting quickly turned into a missing-time event in which he disappeared for four hours...only to return feeling as though no time had passed at all.

The experience didn't just change his worldview - it miraculously cured his Crohn's disease and awakened an ability to heal others. Through hypnotherapy, he later recovered memories of what he describes as a guided "tour" of Earth and beyond, including encounters with the Egyptian pyramids, Mars, and revelations about humanity's place in the cosmos.

Chris also recounts his encounters with mysterious portals and a divine feminine entity he calls "The Lady", experiences that he says attracted the attention of both government officials and representatives from the Vatican, leading to years of scrutiny and investigation.

But the story doesn't end there.

Chris reveals the five years of darkness that followed his encounter, how his life unraveled after speaking publicly about his experiences, and why those hardships ultimately strengthened his spiritual faith more than ever before. He also discusses continuing to witness these unexplained orbs to this day.

Are UFOs aliens? Angels? Interdimensional beings? Spiritual entities? Chris shares what he believes UAPs truly are, and why he ultimately refuses to place a definitive label on the phenomenon.

    Chris also breaks down:
    • His traumatic childhood and two near death experiences that he believes prepared him for contact with the paranormal
    • Dramatic cultural shift from UFO ridicule to mainstream acceptance
    • Why he believes humanity is currently undergoing a global awakening
    • Future of telepathy, expanded consciousness, and "seeing without eyes"
    • Whether anyone can access the same spiritual abilities he claims to possess
    • How organized religion may limit humanity's direct connection to the divine
    • Why restoring the "divine feminine" is essential for humanity's future
    • How he manifests spiritual gifts and extraordinary experiences
    • Why he believes every person has the right to connect directly with God
Whether you view Chris Bledsoe as a mystic, experiencer, prophet, or one of the most fascinating figures in the UFO world, this conversation challenges conventional ideas about consciousness, spirituality, extraterrestrials, and humanity's future!

    AI Summary:

This interview centers on Chris Bledsoe's account of a series of extraordinary experiences that he interprets as spiritual encounters rather than extraterrestrial ones. Bledsoe begins by describing a childhood marked by severe accidents, including a near-death experience after being shot as a child, and later recounts how financial collapse, chronic Crohn's disease, and profound personal despair led him to pray for help. He says that during a 2007 fishing trip in North Carolina, he encountered large luminous orbs, experienced approximately four hours of missing time, and returned to discover that his companions believed he had been gone for hours. He also describes unusual sightings reported by his son and friends that same evening, including glowing beings and additional aerial lights. Throughout the interview, the hosts ask him to elaborate on these events while acknowledging that his descriptions reflect his personal experiences and interpretations.

Bledsoe says the 2007 encounter permanently changed his life. He claims his Crohn's disease disappeared immediately afterward and never returned, and that subsequent medical testing found no evidence of the illness. He further explains that memories of the missing time emerged through hypnotherapy, during which he recalls being inside a luminous craft, experiencing what he describes as a "virtual tour" of Earth and other locations, and receiving symbolic visions. Rather than concluding that these experiences involved extraterrestrials, he argues that the phenomena are better understood as spiritual beings or angels that respond to prayer. He also describes ongoing sightings of luminous orbs around his home, claims that these experiences attracted the attention of government agencies, NASA-affiliated individuals, and religious scholars, and recounts a five-year period in which he says his family faced skepticism, social stigma, and investigations from child protective services because of his public claims.

A major focus of the discussion is Bledsoe's account of a pivotal 2012 experience involving a female spiritual figure he calls "the Lady." He says she emerged from what appeared to be a portal, instructed him to continue sharing his experiences despite the personal cost, and conveyed messages about restoring balance through what he calls the "divine feminine." According to Bledsoe, this encounter marked the beginning of his ability to consistently document luminous phenomena with cameras and deepened his conviction that humanity is entering a period of expanded consciousness. He also shares accounts of healings that he attributes to this phenomenon, including the recovery of a seriously ill child after they met, while emphasizing that he views himself as a conduit rather than the source of healing.

The latter portion of the interview shifts toward broader philosophical and spiritual themes. Bledsoe proposes that consciousness shapes how people perceive unexplained phenomena, suggesting that expectations influence whether individuals report seeing orbs, triangles, saucers, or other forms. He argues that humans possess latent abilities such as telepathy and heightened intuition, which he believes are becoming more accessible. The hosts connect some of these ideas to themes found in religious traditions, indigenous teachings, near-death experience reports, and contemporary discussions of consciousness. The conversation concludes with Bledsoe describing what he sees as meaningful synchronicities and manifestations in his own life, while previewing a second interview that will explore his interpretations of biblical UFO references, geopolitical predictions, remote viewing, and additional evidence he says supports his claims.

    Key Points
    • Chris Bledsoe traces his story back to childhood accidents and a near-death experience, which he believes shaped his later life.
    • He describes losing his successful home-building business following the post-9/11 economic downturn while simultaneously suffering from severe Crohn's disease.
    • He says that after praying for help during a period of desperation, he experienced a 2007 encounter with large luminous orbs during a fishing trip.
    • Bledsoe reports approximately four hours of missing time that he says he cannot consciously account for.
    • His son and other companions also reported unusual phenomena that night, including glowing beings, luminous objects, and aerial lights.
    • He says he later recalled aspects of the missing time through hypnotherapy, including being inside a luminous craft and experiencing symbolic visions.
    • Bledsoe claims his Crohn's disease disappeared immediately after the encounter and did not return.
    • He interprets the phenomenon as spiritual or angelic rather than extraterrestrial, saying it responded to prayer and brought healing.
    • He describes years of social rejection, religious criticism, and family hardship after making his experiences public.
    • According to Bledsoe, unusual lights and orbs have continued appearing around him for nearly two decades.
    • He recounts a transformative 2012 encounter with a female spiritual figure ("the Lady"), who instructed him to continue sharing his experiences.
    • He says the Lady's message emphasized restoring balance through the "divine feminine" and bringing greater peace and spiritual awareness.
    • Bledsoe claims that after 2012 he became able to document the phenomena more consistently with photos and videos.
    • He attributes several reported healings—including one involving a seriously ill child—to the phenomenon acting through him rather than to his own abilities.
    • He believes consciousness influences how unexplained phenomena manifest, with people's expectations shaping what they perceive.
    • He argues that humans possess untapped capacities such as telepathy, intuitive perception, and expanded awareness.
    • The hosts explore parallels between Bledsoe's experiences and themes found in religion, mysticism, indigenous traditions, and consciousness research.
    • The interview ends by previewing a second installment covering Bledsoe's interpretations of biblical references to UFOs, predictions he says he received, remote viewing, and additional claimed evidence for his experiences.

We are not moving from separation instread we are moving From separation to unity instead we are trying to perfect separation within unity

In this profound interview of Just Tap In with Emilio Ortiz, we welcomes back spiritual teacher Anne Tucker, who channels I-LA, the Mother of Creation, for a powerful conversation about the transition humanity is moving through right now. Together, they explore the idea of a coming “separative moment,” the formation of two different paths or realities, the seven stages of soul growth, and why so much chaos, polarity, and upheaval may be surfacing as the old world begins to fall away. I-LA also shares a deeper perspective on Earth herself, describing the planet as awakening to her own will, creative power, and evolving relationship with humanity.

✦ Grab Anne's Newest Channeled Book: The Map to New Earth.

The conversation also moves into multidimensional perception, the shift from mind-led living into heart-led consciousness, the role of judgment and compassion in human evolution, and the deeper meaning of Yeshua’s message for this time. Anne and Emilio explore what New Earth may actually feel like, why humanity is being called to release inherited beliefs and outdated identities, and how each person can begin aligning with a more peaceful, creative, and liberated reality from within. This episode is a detailed spiritual map for anyone feeling that something fundamental is changing beneath the surface and wondering which path humanity will choose next.

    Ai Summary of Transcript

This conversation explores a spiritual framework for humanity’s current period of transition, presented through Anne Tucker’s teachings and her channeling of the entity I-LA. The central thesis is that humanity is not moving directly from separation into unity, but rather toward what Tucker calls the "perfection of separation within unity." Using metaphors such as starling murmurations, cell division (mitosis), and human walking, she argues that healthy unity requires individuals to become internally whole rather than seeking validation, identity, or completion from others. According to this perspective, humanity currently occupies a pivotal "fifth stage" of soul evolution—a bridge between an old paradigm rooted in fear, judgment, and external dependence, and an emerging paradigm characterized by self-knowledge, compassion, creative expression, and conscious participation in evolution.

Throughout the discussion, current global upheavals—including social movements, political polarization, economic instability, environmental disasters, and rapid technological change—are interpreted as symptoms of an ongoing transition rather than isolated crises. Tucker emphasizes that humanity must move through, rather than avoid, these disruptions because they expose outdated systems and beliefs that are ready to dissolve. She compares this period to the moment when a prisoner steps outside the prison gate: liberation itself is not the destination but the beginning of learning how to live freely. The repeated message is that transformation requires releasing attachment to familiar structures, expectations, identities, and inherited narratives in order to create space for something genuinely new.

Much of the interview consists of a channeled dialogue with I-LA, portrayed as the "Mother of Creation." I-LA describes Earth as undergoing its own evolutionary awakening, becoming increasingly conscious of its creative power and transitioning from a passive participant in creation toward a more assertive, self-aware being. Within this worldview, environmental changes—including earthquakes, floods, fires, and other forms of planetary instability—are presented as expressions of Earth's transitional process rather than purely destructive phenomena. Humanity is described as evolving alongside Earth, with both learning to exercise conscious creative agency while deepening their relationship with one another. I-LA repeatedly encourages listeners to cultivate inner stillness, reduce fear, release rigid expectations, and allow the heart—not merely the analytical mind—to guide perception.

Several recurring themes weave the conversation together. Judgment is described as humanity's primary mechanism for creating separation and individual identity, while compassion is presented as the balancing force that enables a return to unity without erasing individuality. The heart is portrayed as humanity's gateway into multidimensional perception, creative expression, and a future state in which people experience richer relationships with nature, one another, and consciousness itself. The discussion concludes on an optimistic note, envisioning a future marked by greater resilience, stronger communities, less fear, deeper creativity, and increasing compassion. Rather than focusing on external predictions, the interview consistently returns to an inward message: meaningful societal transformation begins with individual integration, self-acceptance, and conscious participation in the unfolding evolution of humanity.

    Key Points
    • Humanity is described as living through a major transitional era between an old and a new mode of consciousness.
    • Multiple spiritual traditions (Dead Sea Scrolls, Mayan calendar, Yuga cycles, astrology, etc.) are presented as independently pointing toward the current era as a time of transition.
    • The central idea is that humanity is not moving from separation to unity, but toward healthy separation within unity.
    • The metaphor of a flock of starlings illustrates that true unity depends on each individual maintaining inner wholeness rather than psychological dependence on others.
    • External validation, approval, and identity cannot permanently satisfy inner needs; self-integration is presented as the foundation of unity.
    • Humanity is said to occupy the "fifth stage" of soul evolution—a bridge between old and emerging realities.
    • Soul growth is described as occurring through cycles of expansion and contraction, rather than simple linear growth.
    • The seven stages of soul growth are illustrated through the mechanics of taking a single step while walking.
    • Growth requires periods of imbalance, uncertainty, and releasing previous identities before new stability emerges.
    • A future "separative moment" is described as a decisive shift in which individuals permanently leave old patterns behind.
    • Large life decisions (ending relationships, changing life direction, etc.) are used as examples of personal separative moments.
    • Current global crises are interpreted as exposing outdated systems that humanity is collectively ready to release.
    • Social movements and public revelations are framed as examples of hidden issues surfacing for collective healing.
    • Environmental upheavals are portrayed as part of Earth's own evolutionary process rather than purely random events.
    • Earth is described as awakening to its own creative power and becoming increasingly self-aware.
    • Humanity and Earth are portrayed as evolving together, each influencing the other's development.
    • The interview encourages releasing fear and rigid expectations to access more peaceful states of consciousness.
    • Stillness is presented as the doorway into the "void," where creative insight and visions of future possibilities arise.
    • "New Earth" is described not as returning to the past but as integrating all previous experience into a higher expression.
    • Humanity's visions of future harmony are portrayed as early glimpses of emerging collective potential.
    • Judgment is presented as humanity's primary mechanism for creating individuality and separation.
    • Compassion is described as the balancing force—or "balm"—that heals excessive judgment and restores connection.
    • Freedom is framed primarily as an internal realization rather than something granted by external systems.
    • Individuals are encouraged to question inherited beliefs, social conditioning, and unconscious conformity.
    • Human evolution increasingly involves recognizing one's own creative capacity and expressing it consciously.
    • A future state of consciousness is described in which the heart leads while the analytical mind serves rather than dominates.
    • Multidimensional perception is explained as experiencing reality through simultaneous feeling, intuition, and expanded awareness rather than narrow mental focus.
    • Yeshua (Jesus) is portrayed as an embodiment of a universal light already present within every human being rather than as an exclusive exception.
    • The final channeled message encourages releasing attachment to nostalgia and inherited historical narratives, emphasizing direct inner experience over unquestioned collective memory.
    • In the closing reflections, Tucker expresses optimism that the next decade may bring greater compassion, resilience, stronger community, more conscious use of technology, reduced fear, and a renewed sense of childlike joy as humanity continues its evolution.

Bible’s UFO Secret & The Plot To Assassinate The Pope | Chris Bledsoe - PART 2

    • August 6, 2026
What if everything you've been told about UFOs, consciousness, religion, psychic abilities, and humanity's future is connected?

In Part 2 of our conversation with Chris Bledsoe (UFO experiencer known for his remarkable story of contact with unexplained phenomena, author of UFO of GOD) he reveals explosive claims about government secrets, nonhuman intelligence, psychic downloads, miraculous healings, remote viewing, and a coming global awakening.

Chris shares his account of physically gathering evidence from UAP encounters, evidence he says was confiscated by the U.S. government and classified as Top Secret. He also discusses what he has been told about alleged physical evidence of nonhuman intelligence already in government possession and explains how far his experiences and information have reached within the CIA, military, and NASA.

We dive into reports of UFOs shutting down nuclear missile sites, the orb phenomenon witnessed by highly credible intelligence, military, and aerospace officials, and Chris' astonishing claim that a remote viewing experience helped prevent a credible threat against Pope Francis, resulting in a suspect being arrested.

Chris describes extraordinary abilities he says emerged after his encounter, including hearing other people's thoughts, communicating with animals, receiving psychic downloads, and performing physical healings that witnesses claim changed lives. He explains why he believes "The Lady" who appeared to him is the Holy Spirit, why he argues that the Bible is full of UFO encounters, and whether dissociation may make certain people more receptive to contact with unexplained phenomena.

He also discusses whether negative entities can attach themselves to people, why supernatural experiences seem to increase around Easter, and why he believes humanity is currently undergoing a slow but unstoppable awakening. We also explore one of his most provocative claims yet: that he received advance knowledge of major world events, including COVID-19 and conflict involving Iran, and why he believes these events may have served a greater purpose in humanity's evolution.

Plus, we show some of Chris' most mind-blowing orb footage and conclude with the message he says he was meant to deliver to humanity:

Be ready. The awakening is coming, and our realm may soon blend with what we once called magic.

Disclaimer: Educational only. Not medical advice. See full disclaimer at bottom of description.

One condition is responsible for more preventable disease than almost anything else in modern medicine. It is present in nine out of ten adults. It hides for up to 15 years. It is never screened for at your annual physical. And it is fully reversible.

By the end of this video, you will understand insulin resistance better than most doctors do.

In this video, I'm going to walk you through all five stages: what insulin resistance actually is, how it develops undetected, what it does to every blood vessel in your body, why the medical system is not designed to catch it, and how to reverse it.

    ⏱️ TIMESTAMPS
0:00 The condition affecting 9 in 10 adults that your doctor has never screened for
0:51 What insulin resistance actually is and how it develops
1:54 Why it hides for up to 15 years before a diagnosis
3:10 Why your annual physical is completely missing this
5:41 The vascular endothelium: what insulin resistance does to every blood vessel in your body
8:08 One root, many branches: heart disease, stroke, dementia, fatty liver, joint pain, and cancer
10:02 The diagnostic marker your doctor is ignoring: triglyceride to HDL ratio
11:04 What to stop doing and what to start doing today
12:48 Three specific actions to begin reversing insulin resistance now
14:28 Why reversal can begin in days after years of silent development
    QUESTIONS ANSWERED
Q: What is insulin resistance and how do I know if I have it?
A: Insulin resistance develops when your cells stop responding properly to insulin after years of chronic glucose exposure. Most doctors do not screen for it directly. Pull your most recent cholesterol panel and divide your triglycerides by your HDL. A ratio above 2 strongly suggests insulin resistance. Above 3 indicates significant metabolic dysfunction.
Q: Why doesn't my doctor test for insulin resistance?
A: The standard annual physical checks fasting glucose and A1C, both of which measure glucose at its easiest moment to appear normal. Neither measures insulin directly, neither captures glucose variability, and neither identifies the 15-year window before a diagnosis. The medical system was designed to catch disease at the threshold, not dysfunction at the origin.
Q: Can insulin resistance be reversed?
A: Yes, and faster than most people expect. Fatty liver research shows measurable improvement on MRI after just three days of dietary change. Prioritize protein at every meal and eat it first, walk 10 to 20 minutes after your largest meal, and protect your sleep with a consistent schedule. These changes remove the signals that have been driving the dysfunction, and your biology moves toward restoration.

What a great video for a healthy life in every respect. Following this advice and being aware of this information would be life-saving. It can be a bit heavy on medical jargon, but if people stay with it until the end, it makes all the sense in the world.

This is not about fixing one medical problem; it is about fixing the entire physical system of how our bodies function. Thanks for posting.

Chris Bledsoe referenced the song and meeting Sammy Hagar @ 37:05, called "Crack in the World." (posted here)

    Transcript:
I love his (Sammy Hagar) music. I have all my life. I never dreamed I'd meet him. Listen to the song he wrote in “77” called, “ A Crack in the World”. He is incredible.

Where in the world did you get that, Sammy?

He talked about in 2025 things will be began to divide, 2026 everybody will know. And then he writes, “Love walks in. And then first words says, ”Contact is all it takes to lose your place in time and space.

Then he goes on to talk about this alien walks up, pull a little string a portal opens up, and then walks this beautiful woman with a silver gown with silver light shining down.

    This is all prophetic music…

Crack in the World | Sammy Hagar, 1977

I found out what it is that's been driving me mad.
There's no room to breathe between the good and the bad.
The crush in-between, there's a thin, thin line.
But just 'round the corner, there's a change in design.

I wish I could walk away
And dig what the preacher said.
But those words don't satisfy me no more.

    There's a crack, there's a crack in the world.
    There's a crack, there's a crack in the world.
    There's a crack, there's a crack in the world.

Just fifty more years we're all gonna know.
Why, when, where, how, and who get's to go.
So let's all have a good time before the great divide.
'Cause things will start separating come 2025.

So look for the subtle clues
It won't make the front-page news.
That depends upon which side that you choose.

    There's a crack, there's a crack in the world.
There's a crack, there's a crack in the world, yeah.
    There's a crack, there's a crack in the world.

On a side note, medical schools should be ashamed.
That's great to hear, rgray222. I'm glad it resonated with you.

I’ve lost count of how many vids and the number of books I read in the last two years that emphasize similar messaging. It mainly comes from the keto, keto carnivore & carnivore communities and people like Dr Tessa Damm of Metabolic Transformations.

I started down this path after hearing my siblings who are more than 10 years younger than I am, were comparing their insulin levels and medications. It made me wonder: why wait until treatment is necessary when I could focus on prevention instead?

Once I understood enough of the medical information, I made a 100% change. Next month makes two years. I was convinced within the first week when my lower back pain improved so much that I completely forgot to check whether it was still hurting. Reducing inflammation can make a surprising number of everyday aches and pains simply disappear.

Knowing what I know and have experienced the body and mind changes, it’s hard to watch friends and family suffer with diabetes, high blood pressure, a butt load of medications, inflammation, and much more. When all they have to do is make the decision to begin changing a few habits. Even if it's as simple as replacing just one of their three daily meals with a nutrient-dense meal for a couple of weeks, then progressing to two healthy meals a day. It won’t take long for them to experience less pain and inflammation, and loss of excess fat. And go all in to where they kick all their medications and become leaner, stronger, and metabolically healthier.

With a bit of research they’d learn how to have better: strength, balance, recovery, stamina, sleep, mobility, mood, resilience, energy consistency, ability to maintain independence.

As someone who can easily "follow the numbers", the useful way I have of reversing insulin resistance is following my ketones, which I measure with Ketone test strips that take a drop of blood from a finger prick, using a Precision Xtra meter.

I push my glucose/lactose/sugar intake low enough to get to or above 1.0 mmol/L, or a similar perhaps better target, keeping the ratio of blood glucose divided by ketones below 100 ... what Dr. Annette Bosworth (Doctor Boz) calls the Boz ratio.

I do this largely by replacing "tasty carbs" withOthers can improve their blood metabolism in part with exercise and building muscle mass, or meats. I measure my "exercise" by computer key strokes, which don't seem to affect my ketones much.

My health varies over a fairly wide scale, closely correlated to staying in ketosis. Even a glass of milk has enough lactose to suppress my ketones, but at least my first morning test should be "good".

My goal is healthy aging. For me, that means more than seeing a good ketone number. I want to be able to walk up a flight of stairs, get up from a chair, stay active, and maintain my balance as I get older. That’s why I do resistance training two to three times a week, focus on preserving my muscle and strength, and make sure I’m getting enough high-quality protein. Healthy fats and keeping carbohydrates low help support my ability to produce ketones, but strength and mobility are what allow me to stay independent.

Yes. Exactly. My goal too ...
I failed to state a key point in my above comments.

It is easy to measure one's blood pressure, weight, and girth. It is easy to notice how easily one rises from a chair or how far one can walk or run. It is easy to notice how much one feels energetic and clear minded, or tired and foggy minded.

There are several layers to our being, such as our gut microbiome, our mitochondria, our organs, muscles and bones, our skin and hair, our hormones, our blood and lymph circulation, the nerves tracking, modulating and coordinating these, our senses, our talents, our mind, our spirit, ...

There are several interactions and inputs we benefit from, or require, such as water and air, diverse minerals and essential nutrients, heat and light (above, within and below the visual spectrum), friends, family and community, shared caring, skills and knowledge, security from unrelenting danger, and a growing awareness of the spiritual.

Healthy aging involves all of these, in the diverse ways reflecting our diverse beings.

Metabolic health of the body is but one of these layers of our being, a layer that is not doing well in many of us.

Chronically raised insulin levels are a key contributor to the chronic metabolic diseases which are rampant.

But we do not have a convenient, economical, way to routinely measure our insulin levels. If we did have such a way, then (at least in a "healthy" medical culture) that would be one thing, like height, weight, age, and girth that we would routinely be aware of, if we intended to support our metabolic health. (The conspiracy theorist in me suspects that's why we don't have finger prick test for insulin ...)

However ==> The point I failed to state above:
Blood ketone levels are highly correlated with Dr Boz's ratio, and are quite useful, and easily/economically obtained.
Insulin suppresses ketones. The only way to sustain higher ketone levels is to lower insulin levels -- not necessarily every hour, but at least for quite a few hours each day.

Those who wish to avoid cardiovascular disease, cancer, dementia and other such metabolic diseases should have some idea of their ketone levels or their Dr Boz ratio (of glucose to ketone levels), along with the various other essential elements of a healthy life such as you notice.

As with our weight or girth, if we are are not already easily sustaining the high energy and health levels we seek, then we should check those levels now and then, and work (typically by building muscle mass, fasting, and/or lowering intake of carbs and sugars) to lower our insulin levels if they are too high, as measured by our ketone levels. Ketone levels are too low in most of us, almost all the time. Ketone levels are chronically low, because insulin levels are chronically high, in substantial part because of our high carb diets.

It's not so much that ketones make one healthy. It's that chronically low ketones are an excellent marker for chronically raised insulin levels, which makes us sick.

As I silently suspected, I oversimplified to make a point.

The latest Dr Boz video provides a more accurate explanation of the health of the brain, ketone and glucose levels, diet, and fasting. The most beneficial ketone levels vary with one's current metabolic health and insulin resistance levels:

    In short:

Near zero ketone levels in the blood for a prolonged period of time do indicate insulin resistance. Consuming a Standard American Diet (SAD) for many years keeps blood glucose levels high, which keeps blood insulin levels high, which causes cells in the body and brain to become insulin resistant, which is a primary cause of metabolic diseases, as one's mitochondria are starved for fuel and so one's cells become weak and disease prone.

But, as Dr Boz focuses on in this video, getting one's ketone levels up first requires some hard work, to retrain the body to become metabolically flexible, once again able to easily make and consume ketones, and to easily switch between using glucose and ketones as a primary energy source.

Starting out on such a transition perhaps by fasting, one can see rather high blood ketone levels, such as 4, 5, or 6 mmol/L, when your cells can't burn ketones easily, even when available. Once one restores metabolic flexibility and one's cells are able to make good use of either glucose (insulin resistance removed) or ketones (metabolically flexible again), then one feels more energy, on either fuel. Then fasting (which our body is designed to handle ... food sources were more erratic in times long ago) might push ketones only up to 2 or 3 mmol/L (millimole per liter).

    Thanks, Paul.
Really informative article. For those short on time, here’s an AI summary with a few key takeaways to get you started.
    • Note that the bolding was added by AI.
    Summary
The discussion centers on the speaker’s belief that brain health, cognitive decline, dementia, mood disorders, and recovery from brain injury may be strongly influenced by brain energy metabolism, rather than being explained primarily by neurotransmitter abnormalities. The speaker draws heavily on the work of Dr. Georgia Ede, Dr. Christopher Palmer, and Dr. Dominic D’Agostino, arguing that insulin resistance, impaired glucose availability, and mitochondrial dysfunction can leave the brain in an energy-deficient state. The central metaphor is that a “broken” brain may sometimes instead be a “starving” brain, and that ketones may provide an alternative fuel source. The speaker presents ketogenic diets and sustained ketone availability as potentially important tools for improving brain function.

A major portion of the discussion involves an 80-plus-year-old woman who suffered a stroke and returned to the speaker’s support group after 18 months of severe impairment. The speaker describes her as insulin resistant, significantly overweight, and substantially disabled following the stroke. Another case involves a woman with Down syndrome and early-onset Alzheimer’s/dementia, whose family progressively reduced carbohydrate intake and eventually moved to a very-low-carbohydrate ketogenic diet. The speaker reports dramatic improvements after ketosis began—including increased energy, cessation of seizures, improved continence, reduced paranoia and OCD behaviors, improved memory and focus, greater independence, leaving adult daycare, and an improvement in a functional assessment score. The speaker characterizes this as a reversal of dementia/Alzheimer’s, while acknowledging that there was little established literature or standardized protocol to guide treatment.

The speaker then uses experiments and observations involving fasting, blood glucose, and ketone levels to argue that the level and consistency of ketosis may matter more than simply producing very high ketones. The discussion of D’Agostino’s “N-of-1” experiment is used to suggest that maintaining ketones above roughly 1.2 mmol/L may provide the brain with a more dependable fuel source and may protect against symptoms of hypoglycemia under extreme experimental conditions. The speaker contrasts this with people whose ketones spike dramatically during fasting and then fall back down, interpreting repeated fasting as a metabolic training stimulus that can gradually improve the body’s ability to generate and utilize ketones. For someone severely metabolically impaired or recovering from a major brain injury, however, the speaker argues against prolonged fasting and instead recommends exogenous ketones to establish circulating ketones while the underlying metabolism adapts.

Finally, the discussion turns to practical use of exogenous ketones, fasting, and autophagy. The speaker recommends taking supplemental ketones during the daytime rather than immediately before bed because of possible effects on sleep, and discusses their use during fasting or a “sardine challenge.” The speaker argues that autophagy is stimulated primarily by the combined metabolic shift—lower insulin and glucose together with elevated ketones—rather than simply achieving the highest possible ketone concentration. Throughout the presentation, the speaker repeatedly emphasizes that there is no established textbook protocol for many of the brain-related applications being discussed and encourages people to monitor glucose and ketones themselves. At the same time, several of the recommendations involve medically significant interventions, including prolonged fasting, very-low-carbohydrate diets, and exogenous ketones.
    Key Points
    • The speaker’s overarching thesis is that brain metabolism may be a major driver of neurological and psychiatric symptoms.
    • The discussion challenges the idea that depression, anxiety, cognitive decline, and related conditions can be understood primarily through neurotransmitter abnormalities.
    • Insulin resistance is presented as potentially impairing the brain’s access to glucose and contributing to metabolic dysfunction.
    • Mitochondrial dysfunction is identified as another major mechanism that may interfere with the brain’s ability to produce and use energy.
    • Ketones are presented as an alternative fuel for the brain when glucose utilization is impaired.
    • The speaker repeatedly uses the phrase/concept that a brain may be “starving” rather than irreversibly broken.
    • Dr. Georgia Ede’s work is presented as important support for the speaker’s metabolic view of mental and neurological health.
    • Christopher Palmer’s “Brain Energy” framework is cited as another major influence.
    • A striking case involves an older woman recovering from a severe stroke, who returned to the support group after 18 months and was able to walk into the meeting despite previously being largely wheelchair-dependent.
    • The speaker interprets that woman’s experience as evidence that improving metabolic health and ketone availability may assist a damaged brain.
    • A particularly dramatic case involves a woman with Down syndrome and Alzheimer’s/dementia, whose carbohydrate restriction eventually progressed to approximately 20 grams of carbohydrate per day.
    • According to the speaker, within days to weeks of entering ketosis, she experienced more energy, cessation of seizures, improved continence, improved behavior, improved memory and focus, and greater independence.
    • Over approximately six months, the speaker reports that her functional assessment improved substantially and that some medications were discontinued.
    • The speaker considers this case an example of possible reversal of dementia/Alzheimer’s, although he also explicitly acknowledges that there was little established literature describing what protocol should be used.
    • The discussion argues that extremely high ketone levels are not necessarily better than moderate, sustained ketosis.
    • A recurring proposed target is maintaining ketones around 1.2 mmol/L or higher, although the speaker presents this as an inference from clinical experience and other researchers rather than an established universal medical target.
    • Repeated fasting is portrayed as a form of metabolic training, where the body's response to fasting may become more efficient over time.
    • Exogenous ketones are presented as potentially useful for people who cannot safely or practically achieve ketosis through fasting or dietary restriction alone.
    • The speaker specifically warns that the extreme blood-glucose manipulation described in D’Agostino’s experiment is dangerous and should not be replicated at home.
    • The discussion distinguishes raising ketones artificially from creating the broader metabolic state associated with fasting, including reduced insulin and glucose and increased ketones.
    • For autophagy, the speaker argues that the metabolic change (“delta”) matters more than simply maximizing ketone levels.
    • The speaker repeatedly acknowledges that much of this area lacks standardized clinical protocols and encourages individualized monitoring of blood glucose and ketones.
    • The presentation also contains a significant commercial/educational component, including promotion of ketone products, a question-answering service, and a metabolic-keto course.

Thanks, RunningDeer. I accidentally stumbled on this two year old podcast, by two of the above mentioned people, Dr. Georgia Ede & Dr. Dominic D’Agostino.
... or here's the Youtube upload of the same podcast:
Role of Nutrition for BRAIN Health & How to Modify Your Diet | Drs. Georgia Ede & Dom D’Agostino
The ketogenic diet is a low-carbohydrate, high-fat diet that has proven benefits for brain health. Research shows that the keto diet helps ease symptoms of some mental health conditions, including depression and bipolar disorder. But no diet, even keto, is one-size-fits all. Dr. Georgia Ede and Dr. Dominic D’Agostino discuss how diet and brain health are connected, how diet and gut health affect brain health, and how a ketogenic or other low-carbohydrate diets can be tailored to people’s specific needs.

    00:00 — Intro
03:56 — Dr. Georgia Ede describes her interest in nutritional science for mental health
13:50 — Metabolic health is tied to brain health
21:57 — A ketogenic diet vs medications for mental health
25:55 — A ketogenic diet can be tailored to prevent side effects
32:13 — Gut health and mental health are connected
37:37 — Diet is highly individual
40:41 — CGM can teach people how foods and diet strategies affect their health
43:36 — Following a low-carbohydrate diet will generally reduce insulin levels and triglycerides
46:16 — Some psychiatric symptoms have links to higher C-reactive protein levels
47:21 — Dr. D’Agostino summarizes one of Dr. Ede’s studies on the ketogenic diet and mental health
55:30 — A ketogenic diet may also help ease some menopause symptoms

    AI Summary

The discussion centers on nutritional and metabolic psychiatry, particularly Dr. Georgia Ede’s approach to using diet and metabolic interventions to improve mental health. Ede explains how her work evolved from conventional psychiatry into an investigation of nutrition, brain metabolism, insulin resistance, and ketogenic diets after she personally experienced improvements in mood, energy, concentration, sleep, and resilience while changing her diet. She argues that psychiatric health is closely connected to metabolic health, with inflammation, oxidative stress, and insulin resistance potentially contributing to neurological and psychiatric symptoms. Her approach is individualized rather than one-size-fits-all: she commonly begins by removing ultra-processed foods and returning patients to a whole-food, Paleo-style diet, then considers ketogenic or, in selected circumstances, more restrictive elimination approaches. She also emphasizes that food experimentation and tools such as continuous glucose monitors (CGMs) can help patients discover how particular foods affect their glucose levels and subjective symptoms.

A substantial portion of the conversation examines ketogenic diets, gut health, and metabolic biomarkers. Ede argues that psychiatric improvements can occur independently of weight loss, noting that ketogenic diets can be formulated to maintain or even increase weight in people who do not need to lose it. She discusses the potential relevance of fasting insulin, triglycerides, glucose control, and CRP as measures of metabolic and inflammatory health, while emphasizing that patients should ultimately be treated according to how they feel and function rather than isolated laboratory values. The speakers also explore gastrointestinal symptoms and the relationship between gut and mental health. Ede challenges the blanket recommendation to increase dietary fiber, suggesting that some people with digestive problems may improve by reducing fiber or difficult-to-digest foods such as grains, legumes, nuts, and certain vegetables. The broader theme is personalization: foods can produce dramatically different responses depending on the individual, portion, preparation, ripeness, and metabolic state, making structured experimentation potentially useful.

The conversation then turns to clinical evidence, menopause, education, and implementation. Ede discusses a retrospective study of 31 people with treatment-resistant serious mental illness—primarily bipolar disorder, major depression, and schizophrenia—who followed a ketogenic diet in a hospital setting. According to the discussion, 28 participants remained on the intervention long enough for analysis, all of whom improved, 43% achieved clinical remission, most lost weight, and many were discharged on fewer psychiatric medications. Ede stresses, however, that the study had no control group and therefore cannot establish causation, making more rigorous controlled research essential. She also discusses adapting ketogenic approaches for perimenopausal and postmenopausal women, her clinical training program for healthcare professionals, and her book Change Your Diet, Change Your Mind. Her practical framework is to first eliminate ultra-processed foods and adopt a whole-food/Paleo-style diet, assess basic metabolic indicators, and then work with an appropriately informed healthcare professional if considering nutritional ketosis. Importantly, she emphasizes that ketogenic diets are powerful metabolic interventions: people taking medications or living with significant medical conditions should not make abrupt changes without appropriate clinical supervision because glucose, insulin, blood pressure, fluid/electrolyte balance, and medication requirements can change rapidly.

    Key Points
    • Metabolic psychiatry seeks to address mental health partly through nutrition, metabolism, and brain energy metabolism rather than relying exclusively on conventional psychiatric treatments.
    • Ede’s interest in the field developed after her own dietary experimentation produced improvements in mood, energy, concentration, sleep, stamina, and emotional resilience.
    • She argues that metabolic health and brain health are interconnected, identifying insulin resistance, inflammation, and oxidative stress as potentially important contributors to psychiatric and neurological dysfunction.
    • Her approach is explicitly individualized; she does not believe there is a single diet that works optimally for everyone.
    • A common starting point is to remove ultra-processed foods, refined carbohydrates, sugars, industrial foods, and other highly processed products and return to minimally processed whole foods.
    • Ede recommends a Paleo-style diet as an initial step for many people before considering a ketogenic diet, viewing this as a potentially easier transition.
    • For people who continue to have metabolic or psychiatric problems, she may consider progressively stronger interventions, including nutritional ketosis or, in selected cases, an elimination/carnivore-style approach.
    • The speakers strongly emphasize that weight loss is not necessarily the mechanism behind psychiatric improvement. A ketogenic diet can be structured to be weight-neutral, and Ede reports seeing benefits in people who were already lean or athletic.
    • CGMs are presented as an experimentation tool, allowing people to observe how individual foods, meal timing, sleep, preparation, ripeness, and other factors influence glucose and potentially how they feel.
    • The discussion challenges the assumption that foods traditionally considered “healthy,” such as oatmeal, will produce favorable metabolic responses in everyone.
    • Ede argues that fiber is highly individual and that increasing fiber may not help everyone with gastrointestinal problems; some people may benefit from reducing the quantity or types of difficult-to-digest foods.
    • The speakers describe a potential gut–brain connection, noting that gastrointestinal problems and psychiatric symptoms frequently coexist and may interact through metabolic, inflammatory, and immune pathways.
    • Fasting insulin and triglycerides are highlighted as useful indicators of metabolic health, with the discussion emphasizing that carbohydrate reduction can substantially lower both in many people.
    • CRP/hs-CRP is discussed as a marker of systemic inflammation and as potentially relevant to psychiatric conditions in which inflammation may play a role.
    • Ede emphasizes “treat the patient, not the numbers”: laboratory values such as T3 or ketone levels should be interpreted in the context of symptoms, functioning, and the individual's overall metabolic picture.
    • The discussed retrospective study of 31 people with treatment-resistant serious mental illness reported substantial psychiatric and metabolic improvements during a ketogenic intervention, including clinical remission in 43% of participants and medication reductions in many participants.
    • The study's findings are described as promising but preliminary because there was no randomized control group; the results demonstrate an important signal rather than proving that ketogenic diets caused the improvements.
    • Ede reports that perimenopausal and postmenopausal women can use ketogenic diets, although changing metabolism and hormonal physiology may require greater dietary and lifestyle adjustments.
    • Ede created a clinical training program for healthcare professionals because demand for nutrition-based psychiatric care exceeded the capacity of the small number of clinicians practicing in this area.
    • Her proposed practical sequence is: clean up the diet → assess metabolic health → discuss ketogenic therapy with an appropriately qualified healthcare professional.
    • A major safety message is that ketogenic diets should be understood as powerful metabolic interventions, particularly for people taking prescription medications or managing conditions such as diabetes, cardiovascular disease, or hypertension; medication and electrolyte/fluid requirements can change quickly.
    • The overarching philosophy is to educate and empower patients to investigate the relationship between food, metabolism, and mental health, while recognizing that dietary interventions require personalization, appropriate clinical oversight, and stronger research evidence.

    Hee-hee.

I’m nothing close to a gym rat. As mentioned, I train more for muscular stamina and endurance. I’ve learned that if I make things too complicated, I’m less likely to stick with it. Some days, I’ll even set up my workout area ahead of time. (yoga mat, dumbbells and such) That way, when it’s time to work out, there’s one less thing I have to do and one less excuse to skip it. I exercise about 30-40 minutes 3-4 times a week. I just do what feels right in each work out session. I don’t obsess about it otherwise, I’d skip too many days in a row.

I've recently added "exercise breaks". Some of the dumbbells and smaller equipment are in different rooms. It makes it easy to just "grab and do".

    My workout routines consists of:
    • Strength work - squats, chair stands, step-ups, dumbbells/weights, etc (see Will Harlow's book below)
    • Weight-bearing activity - walking
    • Balance and coordination - Tai Chi
    • Mobility - yoga stretches

Check out Will Harlow’s book, “Independence for Life” and his youtube channel - @ Will Harlow – Over-Fifties Specialist Physio to see how his teaching and writing styles are great resources. Early on, I began with the ones I liked.

Will Harlow’s “Independence FOR LIFE” book arrived. It includes easy to follow instructions and photos. Check out his videos @ Will Harlow – Over-Fifties Specialist Physio to see how his teaching and writing styles are similar and easy to follow.

Below are the main chapters. There is a “List of Exercises" page, and a total of 190 exercises, each includes what to aim for - example: 10-15 reps each side X 3 sets. Most don’t require equipment beyond a chair, or dumbbells, loop resistance band, broom stick handle or a towel.
Part One: The Foundation of Independence
    • Chapters 1: The Four Pillars of Independence
    • Chapters 2: Your Personal Assessment
    • Chapters 3: Building Your Independence for Life Plan
Part Two: Centered, Mobile and Strong
    • Chapters 4: Rebuilding Muscle and Strength
    • Chapters 5: Improving Balance
    • Chapters 6: Building Stronger Bones
    • Chapters 7: Maintaining Mobility
    Part Three: Freedom for Pain
    • Chapters 8: Relieving Back Pain
    • Chapters 9: Easing Neck and Shoulder Pain
    • Chapter 10: Improving Hip Mobility
    • Chapter 11: Restoring Knee Health
    • Chapter 12: Fixing the Feet and Ankles
    ***********
“The progressive loss of muscle mass, strength, and function as we age is called sarcopenia. It is a natural part of the aging process that typically begins in our 30s or 40s and can accelerate after age 60, often leading to weakness, poor balance, and loss of independence.

While sarcopenia happens naturally, you can slow or even reverse its progression by incorporating regular resistance training (weightlifting or bodyweight exercises) and ensuring adequate protein intake in your diet.”

If anyone wondered why keeping weight off or even eating healthy is such a struggle, this might answer some of those concerns.

Many of today’s unhealthy foods were brought to you by Big Tobacco For decades, tobacco companies hooked people on cigarettes by making their products more addictive. Now, a new (2023) study suggests that tobacco companies may have used a similar strategy to hook people on processed foods.

The bliss point is the precise concentration of ingredients like sugar, salt, and fat that optimizes a food's palatability and maximizes consumer pleasure, a concept pioneered by market researcher and psychophysicist Howard Moskowitz. By engineering the perfect balance of these nutrients, food manufacturers trigger the brain's dopamine reward system, creating intense cravings and overriding natural satiety signals to drive overconsumption of hyper-palatable, ultra-processed foods. This phenomenon is central to the business strategies of major corporations such as Kraft, Coca-Cola, Frito-Lay, and Nestlé, who systematically design products to hit this sensory profile for maximum sales, as detailed in investigative works like Michael Moss’s Salt Sugar Fat.

Vanishing caloric density is a food science concept describing the phenomenon where certain processed snacks, such as Cheetos, popcorn, or ice cream, melt or dissolve rapidly in the mouth. This rapid dissolution tricks the brain into perceiving that fewer calories are being consumed than actually are, thereby delaying satiety signals and encouraging overconsumption.

Howard R. Moskowitz is an American market researcher and psychophysicist. He is known for the detailed study he made of the types of spaghetti sauce and horizontal segmentation.

Steven Witherly wrote Why Humans Like Junk Food; he blew the whistle but was told to be quiet because nobody cared.
