One Year On… Rescued Yuna's Life Has Completely Changed (2 min)
Rescued from war-torn Ukraine, she was shell-shocked and had never felt grass beneath her paws. In 12 months, Yuna has had so many firsts: her first meal, first steps on grass, first rainfall, first enrichment toy… and her first peaceful night’s sleep without fear.

With patience and care, she’s grown stronger, calmer, and more confident. In March 2025, Yuna moved into her forever home at the Lion Rescue Centre, joining Rori, Vanda, Amani and Lira, finally safe, loved, and happy.

Happy one-year anniversary, Yuna. Your journey reminds us why every rescue matters.

While the second video is a very short animated film, I hope it still aligns with the spirit of this thread. The greater our understanding and awareness of animals, the more effectively and humanely we will be able to share our planet with these amazing creatures.

(Definitely some very odd creatures in this documentary... The Creator is nothing if not imaginative!)

"The ocean is life’s birthplace and evolution’s first frontier. In a world that’s hostile to most species, only the strangest and toughest have found ways to endure.

From ancient sea jellies that have survived for hundreds of millions of years to bizarre deep-sea octopuses, venomous impostors, walking sharks, and animals that thrive between water and land. This documentary reveals the weird, wonderful, and often unbelievable adaptations that keep ocean life alive."

    Each breath a gift...

I would suspect that many people feel the same way I do about zoos, which is not good. What is Zoochosis and how do animals get it.

If you’ve ever been to a zoo and seen polar bears swimming in circles compulsively for hours, or seen tigers pacing back and forth endlessly, or elephants swaying back and forth rhythmically, all with a blank look in their eyes, you’ve witnessed an animal suffering from zoochosis.

There are people who argue that animals are happy in zoos, or are at least content. Are they?

    Read on to discover: Zoochosis
    • What Is Zoochosis?
    • What are the Signs of Zoochosis?
    • What Causes Zoochosis?
    • Is Zoochosis a Sign of Suffering?
    • Is Zoochosis a Disease?
    • How Many Animals Get Zoochosis?
    • If I Don’t See Signs of Zoochosis, Does That Mean Everything is OK?
    • How Can We Prevent Zoochosis?

The video below is a sad to watch but worth the effort; it is only 1:41

The video below is a bit of food for thought about how zoochosis applies to humans. It is certainly something to think about. Video 1:37

The animal behavior in that video resembles what was depicted in Barack's movie Leave the World Behind. They could make animal run into the city with frequencies generated from Montauk. If they could do that then they could also make them stand in one spot. Maybe they're getting ready to pull the pin on the next false flag.

I always thought no one would believe me but I woke up once one night in Wisconsin during early winter with about 6" of snow on the ground. Went over to my kitchen sink that overlooked the front yard. And I saw about 1 dozen whitetail deer trotting in formation 2 by 2 in front of my kitchen window and down the long drive to the street. This was in the middle of the night. This was sometime before 2o12.

I was singing for a Binturong when this happened.
    Literally Hanging Out
The binturong, also called the bearcat, is a medium-sized mammal native to the forests of South and Southeast Asia. It is famous for smelling strongly of hot buttered popcorn. Despite its common nickname, it is not a bear or a cat.
    Physical Traits
    • Looks: Shaggy black or dark brown fur, long white whiskers, and a heavy body.
    • Tail: A long, strong, prehensile tail that acts like an extra hand to grip branches.
    • Family: Belongs to the family Viverridae, making it a close relative of civets and genets.

    Unique Habits
    • Popcorn Scent: Their pee contains a chemical compound (2-AP) that smells just like fresh popcorn. They use this scent to mark trees.
    • Tree Life: They spend most of their time high up in the forest canopy.
    • Diet: They eat mostly fruit, especially figs, but also small animals, birds, and eggs.

    How the Scent Forms
    • The Chemical: When a binturong urinates, the liquid contacts bacteria on its skin and fur.
    • The Reaction: This interaction creates the volatile compound 2-AP.
    • The Spread: Because binturongs have long, shaggy fur on their tails and legs, they trail this scent behind them as they move.

    Why They Use It
    • Territory: They rub their tails against trees to mark their territory for other binturongs.
    • Communication: The scent tells other animals their gender, presence, and readiness to mate.
    • Easy Tracking: Since they live high in the dark rainforest canopy, a strong smell helps them find each other easily.

Ben Woodruff, representing Hutchings Museum in Lehi, Utah, USA, talks about a tiny critter that lived in North America before the extinction event 10-12k years ago.

In the first part of the vid, he sets the stage, talks about a number of the other species from that time. Learned some new info, he is more in depth than most sources I’ve seen/heard/read.

Quote In this episode, I teach about a fascinating species of American antelope, the Dwarf Pronghorn. This recently extinct species, was only about the weight of a jack rabbit! In this video I teach all about the species, the landscape it lived on, and its closest living relatives. This is a species that Native Americans most definitely interacted with, and may be the inspiration for stories about the Jackalope.

I just had a communion with up to six hummingbirds flying around and eating from one of my hummingbird feeders on my back patio. It was awful in the original sense and meaning of that word. It filled me with awe. It was wonderful.
