Default Closeup Video of a Shape Changing Light Orb UFO

A friend of mine and I were at the park when I looked towards the northern sky and saw this orb. I grabbed the phone and started filming. It was moving very, very slowly southward, against the winds coming out of the southwest. After a few minutes, it hovered in place and remained in the same spot for another four minutes or so. It changed shape several times: from a circle to a line to a hook to a triangle.

I tried in vain to zoom in but because of the glare, I could only estimate what the phone was actually filming. When I tried to zoom in, most of the time it would lose focus of the object entirely. I was only able zoom in clearly once, and got about 8 seconds.

Here you'll notice its spinning field as it changes shape.

Many thanks Jimisroom. Orbs totally fascinate me. I have endeavoured to study them for a long time, yet the information is sparse.

I have seen a group of orange orbs moving around the sky at a leisurely pace. They were each the size of beachballs and had an innocent and even jovial energy about them. They were silent. It was when they moved at a near right angle through a gentle wind that I really started scratching my head. At their closest point of approach to me they were about 30 metres or 100 feet away.

You could have knocked me over with a feather in the midst of that experience.

I would much appreciate anyone else commenting here, or messaging me about the nature of orbs. Thank you.

    Maybe something similar...

A few days ago, I had time to relax after one of the most stress induced, sleep deprived weeks in a long while and was soaking outside, just momentarily enjoying the sun and warm water, closing my eyes for once without rapid-fire thoughts blazing through my mind, or concerns or responsibilities staring front and center, when I glanced up and saw a low white sphere approaching from the east.  ( My right side. )

"C'mon...you've got to be kidding me..." is all I could think. Someone in a hot air balloon was going to invade the tiny bit of quiet and privacy.

Midafternoon, on a sweltering bright, hot sunny day with just a couple of white poofy clouds above, and nothing else in the sky view. I was nude, feeling peaceful for the first time in over a month when this pearly orb made a beeline toward our property. It seemed to be headed directly over where I was lounging. There wasn't any sound of an approaching craft, just the breeze.

Watching it near, deliberately reassuring myself that I wasn't being paranoid it seemed imperative that I should immediately run and put some clothes on.

It's fall, which means balloon fiesta is around the corner, so hot air balloons straying far across the state are not an uncommon sight this time of year.

What caught me off guard was how fast the object drifted directly toward me. Do balloons move that fast and that precisely? From a distance to the point that I filmed was very fast.

It was pearly and shiny, situated low enough, I figured, that a basket with people peering over the edge should come into view at any moment. Any moment...but they didn't... and the shape was odd. Perfectly ovoid or spherical.

The cell phone was nearby, and I filmed for a minute before finally jumping out of the water to find clothes.

I had been thoroughly enjoying that brief instance of rest and was so extremely annoyed by this interruption. Hard to describe the extreme grouchiness I felt about the situation.

So, I stopped filming, glanced over the footage to ensure something was actually recorded since it was difficult to see well in the bright daylight and hit a fast send to family, sarcastically asking if it was a balloon, Project Loon ( https://x.company/projects/loon/ ) or something else...internally wondering, could it be a ufo?

Years ago, a balloon that we did believe to be Project Loon slowly circled our home for over 10 hours before lazily moving on. The footage looked quite different, though the object was also sheer white and shimmery. We could see with binoculars that it had red and white lights at top and bottom. (Avalon member EFO helpfully altered those photos a while back to have a better look and made notes to consider.)

Yet, in the seconds last Wednesday that it took to type 9 words and hit send, the balloon completely disappeared. At the rate it had been approaching, it should have been directly over me in high detail.

Almost as if to answer what I typed, just while I looked briefly away, left in the balloon's general place were two tiny white orbs floating at arms width apart, moving steadily toward each other. They passed one another almost touching and then one blinked out and the other faded gently as though it had traveled a great distance back toward the east, in the smoothest blink-of-an-eye motion.

So obviously not a traditional hot air balloon, but... what?

(Due to the phone's wide-angle lens, the objects in the video look much smaller and less iridescent than they appeared while viewing in person.)

(edit)** NASA apparently had a HASP 765N launch from Ft. Sumner that same day, but the timing is off by 45 minutes. ( https://www.nasa.gov/blogs/wallops/2...mner-campaign/ )

The location of termination (& general flight path) is easily 40+ miles apart from the closest approximate orientation of what was viewable. Seems relevant considering proximity, however they traversed in exactly opposite directions.

I checked adsbexchange.com for any flights that matched time and orientation for any of the three visible objects, and none did.

Maybe these objects were part of a separate non-disclosed observation balloon or craft with visibly distinct payload termination trajectories?

    @Vicus

I honestly didn't feel any dark vibes from it at all. It was just very sudden, out of the ordinary, and lasted a long time.

We watched it for over 40 minutes. At the end it was way east of us. It turned into an oblong shape and then jettisoned an orb underneath it. That image (yes, I know its blurry) is the last one in my article on this experience.

Thanks for sharing. Also thanks for sharing how it "felt".

When they start changing direction erratically with sharp and right angles, you know you are witnessing the real thing.

I posted this example of the "direction changing" orb awhile back, but posted it to the wrong sub-category. I'll include it here.

Once again, thanks so much for sharing.

WOW. That object is quite large.

It seems that a ‘loon’ would appear much smaller than this. I remember the NM Balloon Fiesta as a kid…this for sure is no hot air balloon.

Im about to post an entry that stresses how cropping with digital zoom can bring out more details of these objects. I would love, with your permission, to do a quick zoom edit to see what the object looks like up close.

The two objects moving in line with each other definitely appear to be ‘orbs’.

Encountering the orbs can be a bit jarring…especially when they suddenly vanish from sight. Very cool that you were able to get the footage, and thanks so much for sharing.

I’ll have to do some more research on the ‘loons’ as to where they typically launch them from as well as what altitudes they reach.
