Yes.

The text:

Dr. Richard Alan Miller

Physicist. Author. Herbalist. Teacher. Polymath.
1944 — September 14, 2026

Dr. Richard Alan Miller — Rick to his family, “Dr. RAM” to decades of readers, farmers, radio listeners, and students — died on September 14, 2026. He spent a lifetime insisting that physics, psyche, and soil are one subject. He left still writing, still teaching, and still turning toward other people. Across the United States, Europe, Latin America, and late-night radio in every time zone, people who never met him in person still felt they knew him.

Official statement from his sister Donna

“My brother Richard Alan Miller died on Sept. 14, 5:54 p.m. according to 3 Rivers Hospital. He fell at home and had a heart attack – the order of that will be confirmed by the doctors. He is gifting his eyes to Lions vision, and being cremated at Hull & Hull. He will be buried at Evergreen Washelli in North Seattle, Washington where family is buried. I am listed on his will as Executor. He has two storage units of books and belongings in Grants Pass, Oregon, which I could use help in sorting. Rick just shared on his website a memorial to my husband Paul McLain who died Sept. 9 – ironic, yes? No decision yet on a service although Hull & Hull has a chapel facility.”

Kerry Cassidy added that Rick was a dear friend, that they had just seen him in Mount Shasta in great spirits, and that he is loved by many. Those who can help preserve his books and memory may write Donna at donnaptc@earthlink.net.

Lord Jeffrey Archer has died. The best-selling author and former Conservative politician passed away "suddenly and peacefully" at home at the age of 86.

Archer sold more than 300 million books in his five-decade writing career, including the Clifton Chronicles and Kane and Abel, and often set the novels in his home town of Wellington, Somerset.

In a statement, Archer's publisher HarperCollins said the author died "suddenly and peacefully at home" on Monday between writing sessions.

The former Conservative MP was jailed for perjury in 2001 after being found guilty of lying and cheating in his 1987 libel case against the Daily Star.

Archer was born in north London on 15 April 1940 but would quickly move to Weston-super-Mare in Somerset, where his family bought a house from John Cleese's mother.

In 1969, Archer was elected MP for the Lincolnshire constituency of Louth.

He served as an MP for five years before becoming Conservative Party chairman.

His political career was paused in 2001 when he was jailed for four years for perjury and perverting the course of justice.

He was found to have lied in libel action he had brought against The Star newspaper, in which he was awarded £500,000 in damages.

He was released in 2003 and returned to the House of Lords until he retired in 2024.

His last book, Adam and Eve, is set to be released this week, HarperCollins added, describing him as a "master storyteller" whose readers "meant everything to him".

Last week, Archer returned to his former school to promote his last book.

"It's wonderful to come back. What I got a real thrill about when I was walking towards the library is seeing the young boys and girls and thinking, 'that's the next generation'," Archer said at Wellington School.

Archer was due to attend the Cheltenham Festival on Saturday to discuss final his novel.

He and his wife Mary had celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary this year, HarperCollins said.

The pair have two sons and five grandchildren.

• The Scheme: The charges stemmed from a financial fraud scheme involving his PTL (Praise the Lord) Ministries and the Heritage USA Christian theme park.

• Deceptive Sales: He sold oversold "lifetime partnerships" that promised donors a specific number of annual hotel stays at Heritage USA, far exceeding the accommodations that actually existed or could be delivered.

• Misuse of Funds: Prosecutors showed that millions of dollars raised from followers were misused to fund an opulent lifestyle and cover up financial and personal scandals.

• Sentence: He was initially sentenced to 45 years in federal prison and fined $500,000. His sentence was later reduced to eight years on appeal, and he served nearly five years before being released on parole in 1994.
